The director of danganronpa, Kodaka, left the studio after v3 ended. Kodaka didn't actually want danganronpa to continue after the first game meaning he didn't like the fact he had to do 2 anime series, a sequel games AND V3. This resulted in an emotional "bleh" and let out his frustration on the fans... resulting in the horrific ending of V3
HOWEVER
Kodaka has left the studio and danganronpa is spike chunsoft's property and is also their biggest source of income. Although it's probably unlikely danganronpa will be the same as it was before, we'll likely get new installments (because the company wants money, dangan is their staple franchise). It'll probably be a reboot, a whole new storyline, maybe even new gameplay BUT they'll likely make more death games similar to danganronpa as they were hiring programmers with an interest SPECIFICALLY in danganronpa last year soooooo, keep your hopes high is what i'd say.
