@get2sammyb I have a sneaky feeling that if Microsoft āagreeā to porting the Ori games to PlayStation⦠then Moon Studios might well āagreeā to release this on Xbox if you get me š
This was a cool surprise. Iām still to actually play Avatar⦠and as a fan of third-person over first, thisāll probably be the way I play it now. More games should offer the option to switch between the two viewpoints.
Assassins Creed: Rogue⦠and what a pleasant surprise it has been. Iāve been slowly chipping away at the series since 2019 and while the series has some highs⦠Iāve found just as many of the games to be a bit of a slog. This is one of the high points for me though and I had no idea that would be the case. Itās basically Black Flag but in the North Atlantic rather than the Caribbean.
Busy weekend this one but will hopefully get an hour or two to crack on with Mass Effect 2 at some point. Just have a few loyalty quests left before crossing the point-of-no-return and finishing the main campaign.
Hoping to have the plat wrapped by Wednesday, so I can make a start on Assassins Creed: Rogue on my day off š¤
@get2sammyb yup⦠and theyāll just continue to close their eyes, stick their fingers in their ears and sing ālalalaā¦ā in the most dulcet of tones ššš
@get2sammyb while I totally get you⦠the trouble is dude, respect is earned and lost depending on experience and interactions. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck⦠itās a duck.
@Ricky-Spanish stop trying to twist stuff (a sure sign of the disingenuous), I never said it wasnāt consumer friendly⦠never have done. What I have said for years is that itās bad for the industry⦠you seem to avoid that talking point each and every time though⦠conveniently š« ⦠I wonder why š¤
@Ricky-Spanish nope⦠thatās just what Iāve found since trying to have a dialogue. You take it however you want to justify your own narrative though⦠you guys always do.
@cusman weāve all been saying it for years mate⦠but the bots just accuse us of being fanboys for stating something that held credible critical analysis. The people who are the first to use the fanboy accusation are almost always the actual fanboys.
Started Mass Effect 2 and it really is as class as people make out. I played it back at release on the 360 but have absolutely no recollection of it⦠and was a little apprehensive about starting it again as I was a bit nonplussed when I played through the original a couple of years back. Thankfully Iām having a very different experience with the sequel though. The gameplay and the graphics have been refined a bit and the narrative is top-tier fair play.
@Fiendish-Beaver I can guarantee you that Nadella wouldāve made it clear to Phil before signing off on passing him the $80bills, that as a result of it that certain metrics would need to be met⦠and if they werenāt⦠well here we are. Yet Phil just trotted out his good for the industry, good for the staff, good for the gamer mantra regardless of the potential risks if it didnt pan-out.
Even during the acti-bliz trial there was Microsoft documentation discussed showing the crazy metrics Gamepass would need to hit by 2030 to be sustainable⦠you think there wasnt more crazy metrics discussed post the deal? š¤¦š¼āāļø
Iām one of the few who thought Ghost of Tsushima was good but not quite up there with the best of Sonyās first party devs. Iāll certainly buy and play Yotei but Iām not excited for it in the same way that I was for Death Stranding 2 or if a new full-fat God of War game was announced.
Iām holding on to play it until I have a couple of free weeks in September. Hopefully the weather will be a bit more chilled by then⦠and another patch or too to help resolve the issue too š¤.
Itās hot as all hell here in the UK atm⦠if I could treat my PS5 to a slushy at the same time as the missus and I are enjoying one in the garden, I would! š
Finished off the Zombie Army Trilogy plat yesterday but will probably play a little more this weekend to help out a few of the guys finish off their bits and pieces. Such an underrated game, between it and its sequel⦠they are two of the best co-op games Iāve played. So much fun!
Played through the prologue of Dead Island: Riptide this morning too, to continue my hot-zombie-summer. Enjoyed DI2 a lot more than I was expecting at the start of this year, so Iāll hopefully feel similarly about this one.
