I respect Sammy's opinion, this is the definitive divisive game. Personally, I think it's incredible. And I actually enjoy the survival and resource management aspects. Whether I still will in 20 hours, or 50 hours time, I can't say. What I can say is that the first time I opened the galactic map, my jaw dropped. The SCALE of this game, if nothing else, is unarguably ground breaking. Of the 5 planets in my starting system, I saw real diversity. 3 planets were dead, barren wastelands, but were still distinctive and unique. One was overflowing with bioluminescant plant life, and my starter planet was a vividly coloured, lush, tropical Eden filled with wonders and cave systems that begged to be explored. The very fact that NO ONE else may ever see what I saw, makes this game special in a way no other game has ever been. And if you do stumble across that planet, Pople 7... watch out for the Tiger Crabs.
You guys are crazy... How could you not be excited for this game?! Both 2 and 3 were masterpieces of action adventure games, set pieces, graphics and story telling. Are you saying you weren't blown away by the train sequence (either of them), or the tank battle in the village in 'charted 2? Or the lost in the desert scene and jeep/horse chase in 3? I will admit that I was beginning to get franchise fatigue after uncharted 3 ended but it's been 5 YEARS guys. Naughty Dog don't release anything less than excellent games, so I think it's okay to be excited. Having said that, Fallout 4.... That's what I really want!
