@CWill97 you know they remastered GoW3 for ps4 right? or are you trying to play the series canonically? though i recommend holding off on GoW3 because of spoilers and how much improved it is over the first two - save the best for last kinda thing , haha

@CWill97 i hope you enjoy the originals if you ever get to play them. these days they aren’t for everyone, but personally the OG god of war (greek mythology) is peak

@Oram77 those are from players having high end GPUs with garbage CPUs and/or not enough ram, a lot of ppl still think you only need a high end graphics card to run games. Also using BL4 doesn’t hold much weight either - a franchise that’s had a history of releasing shoddy on all hardware to this day

@Oram77 The only pc players that complain about optimizations are those that don’t upgrade all the necessary parts and think that there ps4 era PC can still hang. my 2021 prebuilt PC still going strong & have had zero problems

the first & 3rd negatives are pretty major tbh. abrupt ending & bad enemy variety is rough

time for pro users to get a PC, lol. the grass is greener 😂

@Oram77 nice, the setting and climate is also great too; i agree, rise is good too. none of them are bad per-se.

@PegasusActual93 each new game after 2013 just got worse , 2013 was very good and arguably the peak of the reboot. the multiplayer was also fun

@TheArt in my opinion, of course. the ps5 has the better hardware, sure. i’m talking about relative to their times the experience they provided. ps4 was more exciting & there’s still some things ps4 has (or had) that the ps5 doesn’t software wise.

also ps4 controllers didn’t drift nearly as much as driftsenses

@get2sammyb i’m indifferent towards guests , it’s called sonic racing , all-stars was intentionally a crossover series. sonic team/sega not producing a story mode in this game that introduces new OG characters is a missed opportunity and let down for a $70 game .

I never thought i’d like this game but the beta impressed me , i can’t wait for it to release.

the hoverboards, the maps, the drifting, and the roster sold me on it . still hope we get another riders game in the near future though

i sold my ps4 (pro) a long time ago; amazing console but it’s just no reason to have one anymore, even though the ps5 is inferior in several ways to it , it can still play its games. i do miss the ps4 generation though, it was an exciting gen with s*** to look forward to all the time. 2015-2018 was peak and an amazing time to play on playstation.

also want to say that the ps4/xbox one not being backwards compatible on release was a huge mistake and has harmed gaming with bulls*** “remasters” almost as bad as live service has. still recycling old games in the ps5 gen is a joke

@Ludacritz facts. tbh the ONLY reason i enjoyed the beta so much was because hoverboards from sonic riders is in it. i don’t like sonic kart at all, but i got lucky with finding some enjoyment with this game

i voted that it’s just okay & wasn’t even born yet. ps3 is my GOAT; not gonna pretend like i didn’t spend most of my preteen/teen years on ps3 so i’d be hypocritical to not rank it the best playstation.

@SuntannedDuck2 i wholeheartedly agree with you, i much prefer older games from ps2/ps3 myself & don’t really jive with the direction or gameplay philosophies games take these days - BUT i also think that what makes games like sly so special is that they’re irreplaceable experiences of an era that i just don’t think would work today. thieves in time sucked mainly because everything just felt off about it for example. nonetheless, im down for a remaster of the trilogy and have been wanting that for YEARS - but a new game? hell no.

i also want to add that sly cooper used to be my most favorite playstation ip and is still one of my most favorite franchises ever. i love sly cooper, but i just have a strong feeling id be disappointed in a new take or game about a series i hold close

I unfortunately agree with the last two paragraphs. after recently replaying through the three games (we don’t talk about thieves in time) on my ps3 earlier this year, while still good games, really are a product of their time & it pains me to say it cuz i loved this series as a kid. It’s really telling when i liked sly 1 the absolute LEAST of the three games but now think its the best as a young adult - i think the first game ironically aged better in terms of its gameplay loop, i even platinumed it!

@4fold this list really brings into perspective how massive the casual market is of players that only buy playstations to play such a small handful of games with 99% of them being multiplayer or live service. I can’t really blame the state of this generations game variety output after seeing this , smh

@ilyn nope, i’m right with you. i like the fat ps5 design too, its reminiscent of the fat ps3 (and OG Xbox) to me in terms of bold & futuristic. i’m glad $ony still embraces quirky console designs in a time of minimalism & formality - even nintendo succumb to this with the switch 2.

@Ravix PS3 wasn’t a COD juggernaut machine like the Xbox360 was; i bet the list would be different if it were for Xbox. It’s a shame though, because the remakes are trash imo
