@PsBoxSwitchOwner I think the publishers are to blame they hold payments from Devs if games don't reach a desired metacritic rating which gives the impression anything lower than 8 is a disaster.

Days gone is a good example of a game that reviews at the time painted it to be a 7 max, but people read it as a 4 or 5 as that's how a 7 seems to be seen by many. And in the case of days gone 7 was probably right (but a real 7 not a disaster 7)

I'm sick of the narrative that a 7 out of 10 is a disaster. 7 should mean very good as. It's 2 above 5 which is obviously the mid point and therefore average.

Too much stock is put in reviews too. Just because person finds a game brilliant or sh*t it doesn't mean that you will

@Loamy I can't speak for the PC game but it looked ok for the time. It wasn't up with the best looking games on PS2 but it certainly wasn't down with the worst looking either

@DonJorginho I played the demo when it was realised. The game wasn't on .y radar at all. After the demo I asked my wife to get me it for my birthday (the week after the full game released.

It was my game of the year until astro bot came out

@Keyblade-Dan I liked Stellar blade and finished it. Eve wasn't an exciting character but she wasn't that bad.

Still plodding through HZD remastered. When my 6 year old isn't playing on astro bot.

I got my astro bot trophies back up to 100% again after getting both bots on rising heat. Need more DLC it's still my GOTY

Not heard Tim Russ's portrayal so can't judge and it's going to be very different to Lance's due to the tone difference between this and the main games.

@Mikey856 unfortunately not, my wife thought the PS5 was too dear when I bought mine in 2021 so it's not worth the arguments getting one at 700 without a disk drive.

Luckily still pretty happy with my base PS5 so it's not all bad

If they do it well like they seem to have with generations id consider it.

Maybe also if they remove sonic kissing a human girl too

@Loamy it's blowing me away. Thought it was an unnecessary remaster but then when saw £10 upgrade thought I'll give it a 2nd play through and hooked all over again.

I'm playing it on performance mode on base ps5 and looks amazing. Can only imagine how much better it looks on pro

@devildragon2k23 Im currently hooked all over again on HZD so can't agree with you saying it's boring but each to their own. I find grind games like eden ring etc boring as hell and to others that's pure addiction and entertainment. We're all different.

But Lego god of war or uncharted would be awesome

I've never been shy of my love of platform games. At one point it was the biggest genre. Gaming has advanced and open world and soulsbourne games seem to be the biggest draws now but there's still a place for platformers.

Astrobot not only sold well but was almost universally lauded. Mario has been consistently good for 4 decades, even sonic has returned to form.

If you have no interest, fair play to you but your condescending implication that they are simply kid games is very narrow minded and in my opinion way off base

Horizon zero dawn remastered. Looks amazing. Performance mode is win win as resolution is practically impossible to tell it's not4k without right tools and runs at 60fps.

I was worried I might not get into it again but it's got me hooked again like it did in PS4 in 2017.

Might give frogun a go to satisfy my recent re-obsession with 3d platformers. Nothing gets up to Astro Bot though

@AhmadSumadi if I was to review games 10 would mean games that blew me away at the time, Mario 64, bioshock, uncharted 2 etc, games that I felt were just above and beyond. 9 would be brilliant games that didn't quite get up to them lofty heights. 8 would be excellent. 7 would be good. 6 above average. 5 average, 4 below average, 3 poor 2 abysmal (bubsy 3d) 1 unplayable

@AhmadSumadi that's your opinion. Why can't games get 10s? Id understand if it was a percentage system where 100% would imply perfection but review sites word scoring systems to state 10 means outstanding/masterpiece and not that a game is perfect.

I've played lots of 10s in my lifetime

@Dalejrfanfreak remastered game's or re-releases almost always get lower scores than the original. The improvements are overshadowed by the lack of impact from the initial release.

I loved ghostwire, I'd maybe replay that but own it.

The 1st hot wheels was loads of fun so I'll give 2 a go.

Even though I played so many better 3D platformers in the late 90s Croc holds so much nostalgia for me. To be fair it wasn't amazing really but I still wanna play it again.

Hope they have a graphic filert option as this remake looks over smoothed and has lost that PS1 visual charm
