Re: Divinity Dev's Comments on Generative AI Trigger a Total Social Media Sh*tstorm

You can rant and harass about AI all day, but if people don't step up where it matters, you're just barking at people using tools for a job in a system that always demands more for less. So where should we point the outrage... We as people have to shake up the big corporations, billionaires and their political enablers, because in their hands these tools are being weaponized against humanity!

😂😂 I was trying to discuss narrative issues this series has had historically, which the new games are leaning back on, but this has practically turned into a Sidney Sweeney jeans ad discussion. Imagine what, I have that opinion about old TR and still love stellar blade, nier and yes tomb raider. There's more between loving or hating something, but that is unfathomable for many.

The games will probably be fun, but what a backstep in character design. The reboot had it's flaws, especially the side characters were oftentimes annoying, but classic Lara is problematic with her blatant arrogance and colonialist background which the original games never questioned but rather made to her superpower. I guess the current overall climate is once again more permissive of that.

Another punching bag for toxic gamers. Everyone is just one misstep away from getting the full outrage of keyboard warriors that rather engage in so called "controversies" rather than video games. A bad launch, unfortunate as it is, does not justify that amount of unconstructive bashing, dehumanisation and threats. I'm glad cdpr turned this narrative around and came out stronger, but nowadays we see this story repeating on a daily basis.

Re: PS5 Action RPG The God Slayer Getting Full Support from Sony, First Gameplay Footage Is Jaw-Dropping

I like what they're going for. The animations are still very stiff and need to be more situative in transitions. Gameplay needs to be figured out, because enemies and interactions were very clearly just placed where they were for this gameplay trailer and not for actual gameplay purposes. We'll see, but it's got the potential to be like an Avatar game we never got.
