Despite being showered in praise, it's yet to really capture a substantial audience. Those few that love the franchise, love it though. Hence the excitement on message boards around the world when it was discovered that the publisher had registered valkyria3.jp in May.
One could assume that SEGA might simply be protecting their interests by registering the domain. Or there could be a little more to it. After all, Tokyo Game Show is just around the corner. Assuming the game is real, the big question will revolve around which platform it ends up on. Most are clamouring for a PlayStation 3 sequel — will SEGA listen?
Valkyria Chronicles 2 is out on the PlayStation Portable a little later in the year.
