We're not going to beat around the bush: PS Plus Extra is pretty good, isn't it? The middle tier of Sony's subscription service has quickly established a large catalogue of great PS5 and PS4 games, and it feels like it's being meaningfully expanded every single month.
March 2023's additions bring some real value as well. Delightful looking indie title Tchia launches straight onto Extra, while heavy hitters like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Immortals Fenyx Rising bring bang for your buck. It's a cliche, but there really is something for just about everyone here, with Dragon Ball Z:Kakarot, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Life Is Strange: True Colors, and even RAGE 2 bringing something a bit different.
But look, we're not here to sway your opinion (whoops!), so let's move on to PS Plus Premium. Another three classics are being added to the most expensive tier, with Ridge Racer Type 4 (PS1), Ape Academy 2 (PSP), and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (PSP) offering a bit of throwback fun.
So, what do you think of March 2023's PS Plus Extra and Premium updates? Are you happy with these games, or have you been left bitterly disappointed? Vote in our polls, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.

There's a lot in there I want to play and probably no way to handle them all before the next update - especially with RE4 just around the corner.
But hey, no rush, I'll just get through them one at a time and enjoy the ride. Haven will probably be the one I'll start with, followed by Untitled Goose Game.
Tchia, Goose, Uncharted, Ghostwire, Immortals
All good for me, excellent additions 🥳
My back catalogue is scary large, but all quality being added to it. I haven't even played the latest Uncharted yet, I bought a physical copy years ago and to have the upgrade in digital form is just super handy for me, might be the kick I need to get on it. When I go back and finish the 3rd Uncharted which I was playing on my Pro a good few months back 😬
I'm happy with both tiers this month. Probably most excited to play Untitled Goose Game from Extra, and long as the Premium games keep coming with trophy support im good.
Liking the offerings this month bit do wish some ps2 classics were coming to premium.
However i do want to go back to ghostwire for the update (need to do golden loop on deathloop aswel) and after looking into tchia that mind might be a nice peaceful game to play between hectic ones. When i played Dead Space i played powerwash between for example lol
I find more games are added to Extra that I have interest in than I could ever play. It's amazing.
Its a really good month..you have to be a right miserable ***** to complain about it..
Don't sleep on Rage 2. It still holds up very well and is one of the best examples of open-world fps (imo).
@Olmaz considering I have played most of the games available I marked Rage 2 as the one I'm excited to play as it's one I've had my eye on for years but never got round to.Looking forward to it....and Goose game
It’s a really solid month. I’m really excited for Tchia and I’m glad I never bought Kakarot because now I’ll try it at least in April when the release schedule is sort of open feeling for me. Maybe I’ll try Haven and maybe I’ll make another attempt at Goose Game, even if I own it on Switch and didn’t really think much of it in playing, outside of liking the style of it.
I buy most games i play so extra has fewer chances to wow me but good games like Ghostwire being added. Unfortunately few premium games outside of LoD and Wild arms 1/2 thus far
I wish you had mentioned when they go live
It is a good month, especially for those who don't have some of the Extra titles as there are some winners this month. I'm mostly looking forward to Goose game but also Rage 2, I have most of the others. Great month! Oh and Ridge Racer Type 4 is another winner
Extra is enough to have stopped me purchasing any games in over a year. The big games come eventually.
When do these go live again?
@KundaliniRising333 @zhoont should be Tuesday
Personally I think premium is very good value too considering it’s just £1.50 on top of extra sub price. Some incredible games in there already
@KundaliniRising333 @zhoont the 21st i think i read somewhere..
Tchia looks fun. I don't play many of these "free" games.
Not sure why I even pay for this service?
Yes ps extra upgrade is amazing ,fantastic selection and keeps getting better ,to many games on extra I want to play + my big backlog already ,where I'm going to get time I Really haven't the foggiest but much prefer this great problem than the other way round happy days:)
I think there's a few like me, who like the idea of the free games but have no time to play them onto of the games I buy. I may drop a tier
Great month, I think the conversation around plus extra would change if you got a good day one indie every 3 months or so. Stray made such a buzz around the service when it launched on extra/premium
@stvevan @Northern_munkey nice
As much as it will be nice to try ghostwire for free and check out tchia,... If I'm being completely honest I'm most looking forward to trying some mindless fun in the form of Rage 2. Never played either of them.
Bah.. Just bought uncharted LOFC.
Plus 2 bethseda games Sony say thanks to MS
@KundaliniRising333 im in the same boat as you, ive had Rage 2 in my hands a few times and never bit, my waiting paid off.
Extra is on a real upward trajectory this year. This month is especially good giving us a day one in Tchia and loads of games worth trying but not necessarily buying.
'But look, we're not here to sway your opinion (whoops!), so let's move on to.....'
Unless you don't like our opinion and delete it eh, stick to games is what we all want push square
all 4 life is strange games are on extra now
Life is strange before the storm
Life is strange
Life is strange 2
Life is strange true colours
Rage 2 has already been on PSnow and is a returning game
@TeapotBuddha wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy tchia if it's only 1 game you're after?
I don't have ps plus but I voted for dbz kakarot coz its the game I wanna play, but not sure if I'll be into it.
PS Plus has been really good this year, I just don't have time to play them
@KundaliniRising333 yes rage 2 is the one i really want to play. I enjoyed the first game on my pc when i first built it back in the mists of time when 16 gig of ram and a gtx970 was a really good rig but it always felt like it should have had more to it. I hear the 2nd is more borderlands(ish) so i'm sold..
Loads I want to play here, and tchia on day one is a big win for me.
Ive always loved these sub services, even when it was psNOW, but its even better now and theres always someting on there worth a look for me.
PS+>>>>>>>>Game Pass. 💯!!!
Wat else ya want me to say??? Silly bastsrd!!
@Titntin between extra and GP, barely need to buy a game.
I must be a weirdo.. my brain can’t accept older graphics.. I cant enjoy something that is blocky and unresponsive.. it’s like going back to using the original iPhone after owning a iPhone 14.. I’m 33 and can’t stand looking at the games I grew up with.. I tried playing Dead Space Remastered (never played a dead space game before) and had to put it down after 30 minutes.. animation was way too blocky
Im all about that Tchia though
For once there’s actually a game I haven’t played and want to play on the list, Tchia! Long time since I voted I’m happy with the selection.
Previous additions have also been solid, but it has always been games I’ve already finished or have zero interest in.
Premium is such a waste of time. Extra is barely worthwhile either tbh.
@trev666 it’s also a pile of garbage with unintuitive systems and a gigantic, completely empty open world. I lasted 15 mins.
I'm looking forward to playing both Tchia and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.
@Arnna I completed Rage 2 when it was on PSNOW it was fine gun play was good but thats expected it uses the Id tech engine setting was cool.
7/10 game
@TeapotBuddha £11 for a month or £20 for a lifetime? I don't know how much tchia is, but assuming it will be around £20. If you intend on playing for more than a month, then I think it would be cheaper to buy the game. Unless you have other games you wanna play on plus.
A grest selection this month.
Another incredible roster. Ghostwire Tokio is the main game I want, but DBZ Kakarot is expected for a long time too. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is enticing, and I will check Tchia in the future.
