No, you're not dreaming — Granblue Fantasy: Relink is actually here, released, and playable right now on PS5 and PS4. It's crazy to think that the action RPG was announced all the way back in 2016, before it was forced to endure a rocky development cycle and multiple delays. Thankfully, the general consensus seems to be that the long wait has been worthwhile.
We really enjoyed this one, giving the game a 'great' 8/10 in our Granblue Fantasy: Relink PS5 review. "Relink is one of the PS5's best action RPGs — but you need to know what you're getting into," we wrote. "The story campaign is excellent, but its relatively short length means that most of your time will be spent with the game's optional quests, which rarely reach the same heights [...] If you can embrace the grind, a fantastic character roster and some amazing boss battles await," we concluded.
The only real problem Granblue Fantasy: Relink faces is its launch date. It's out just one day ahead of the excellent Persona 3 Reload, and we're just a week removed from Tekken 8 and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Not ideal, is it?
But are you playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink? As always, we want to know, so vote in our poll, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.
Are you playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink? (825 votes)
- Yes, of course I'm playing it
- I plan on playing it, but not at launch
- Nah, I'm not sure about the game yet
- Nope, I'm too busy with other games
- No, Granblue Fantasy: Relink just isn't for me

I love it. GOTY!!!
I love the aesthetic and demo and the fighting game, I’m just preoccupied with Persona 3. With new games being $70 it’s hard justifying trying to balance new releases especially when I have a backlog. It’s especially hard when all the games you care about come out in the first four months of the year and the rest of the year is barren (seriously after Stellar Blade I can’t think of much im interested in besides maybe TTYD)
Just finished work. Firing it up now as soon as this PS Access stream ends.
It looks fun but I don't know if I'll ever get to it. Gaming is too competitive these days, it's impossible to play merely just the games I want too let alone other interesting ones on top.
I would be playing but I can't find any physical copies in my region and I ain't paying full price for digital games.
I am, and absolutely loving it. This game has honestly surprised me in a really huge way.
I will.im enjoying my backlog.so many games i have.my backlogs off games is huge.like epmd said you gots to chill.word up son
I'm enjoying it alot, pacing myself with the story. Looking forward to doing more online multiplayer missions now that its available to more players.
@playstation1995 Maybe I'll be up to date if I get fired and have two full years of free time.
I really like the look of it but have made a bit of a rod for my own back by wanting to clear my PS3 backlog by the end of 2024… so it doesn’t leave much room for new releases unfortunately. I’ll play it at some point though… be it in ‘25 or ‘26.
It looks great but there are too many games I’m playing at the moment. I have it on my wishlist and I’ll pick it up later this year when I clear my current lineup and it’s cheaper.
Just a suggestion, but poll should have "Waiting for it to hit subscription service." option. And I'll be doing just that, as game looks good, but not 70€ good.
Just downloaded the demo to give it a look-see. Heard good things about it though.
I would like to get to it at some point but I just don't know when that time will be. I'm still working my way through Infinite Wealth and I'm taking my sweet time with it.
So tempted to pick this up tomorrow. I’m still finishing up Lords Of The Fallen, but this could be a nice one to counteract that with.
Too much on my plate as it is, I'll pick it up cheap towards the end of the year
Nah, there’s just too many games, especially RPGs, right now that feel more compelling to me, personally.
@Cikajovazmaj Wow, is that the price in your region? It's supposed to be 60.
@3Above my region specifically is usually subject to "local" tax unfortunately. Of course that is for physical releases, PS Store has normal prices.
Looks great. I'll definitely be buying it next year.
I'm too busy with other games but this looks decent. The demo reminded me a little bit of Tales of Arise in its world design and structure plus AAA budget polish. I might pick this up on sale.
Long version: no, nein, non, nee, nej, mana, nie, nao, nu, ne, nem
Short(er) one: simply not for me : )
no. outside of rare exceptions (like blazblue) i don’t like anime , or anime games
It's going to the backlog I got Tekken 8, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Persona 3 Reload.
I mean I'm trying to play it but life and kids hogging the ps get well in the way.
Bought it along with persona 3 but still working through like a dragon with FF7 on the horizon
Was looking forward to it for years but the demo put me off to it big time.
@Cikajovazmaj I know the feeling. I've gone 100% Digital cause physical games where I live would cost me $20 - $25 USD more than buying off PSN.
Not yet but I will be soon!
I ran around a bit in the demo seems pleasant so I’ll probably pick it up at some point
I will eventually. Still working through Infinite Wealth. After that, it’s probably finishing the last two chapters of Dead Space, starting (but probs not finishing) Persona 3 Reload then FF7 Rebirth. Once those are done, it’s a toss-up between Granblue & Rise of the Ronin (assuming it’s out by the time I finish FF7). Way too many good games to play but I love it
OK not a game I usually play (art direction wise) but I really enjoyed the demo so I've just purchased it from the store as its £49.99 and physical is only £2 cheaper online so I'll be diving into this when I get home from work this evening.
Anyone pre-ordered the physical edition? Did you get both the Stamina III and Enmity III Sigils as pre-order bonus?
I watched season one of the show and it bored me to death. Can't say I'm interested in this one
