Nintendo's highly anticipated Switch 2 Direct has come and gone — and while we'll obviously be leaving coverage of the event itself up to our friends at Nintendo Life, we still want to know what the Push Square community thinks about the Big N's new console.
Set for release on the 5th June — it's only a couple of months off! — the Switch 2 looks a serious step up from the original Switch in terms of hardware specifications. Everyone expected as much given how many years it's been, but we're looking at a hybrid console that's about on par with the PS4 Pro in terms of technical heft.
With Mario Kart World locked in as the Switch 2's key launch title, we can see this thing selling like mad — although you could also argue that the surrounding software selection seems a bit limited. The Direct featured a lot of games, but the vast majority are older titles that are being ported to the new console.
Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade... We're left wondering whether there's enough on offer to sway people — like ourselves — that see the PS5 as their primary platform.
And so we ask: are you sold on the Nintendo Switch 2? Might it become your secondary system? Could it actually replace your PS5 as your go-to console? Vote in our polls, and then explain yourself in the comments section below.

Now we will hear all the reasons why $450 USD is actually a good deal and why you should not buy a PS5 Digital with Astrobot included even thought it's $50 CHEAPER
Absoultley, will preorder as soon as possible, can't wait!!
Well my PS5 is going on market place.
@3Above cause its Nintendo, people would still praise them if they charged $699.
Since the Wii PS3 era always had both companies' platforms in parallel. They compliment each other so good.
I bought a switch a couple of years ago and played all the games I wanted to on it. It’s ok but I’m not itching to upgrade. I was initially floored by Duskbloods til it turned out to be a multiplayer game, and the only other thing I’m really into is Metroid Prime 4 but I can wait. That c button demonstration was painful to watch too. Good god.
Personally I'm not sold (yet). I think it looks like a significant and welcome improvement over the Switch, and Mario Kart World looks fantastic, but the software lineup just isn't there for me at launch.
But I say that as someone who's played basically all of those third party games on the PS5, so maybe I'm not quite the target audience.
Metroid Prime 4 at 4k 60fps (and mouse control) sold it for me. The Duskbloods and Donkey Kong also looked sweet!
I'm sure my PS5 will love having this as company sat next to it!
I thought it was a really underwhelming showing, but that comes with caveats. First, I've never cared about Nintendo hardware and I don't like Nintendo's motion controllery, gimmicky side. I only buy the consoles to play Nintendo games.
Second, I've already played most of the great ports they showed. So I suppose if you only play on Nintendo you were probably excited about Hitman and Elden Ring and whatever.
But for me it was pretty weak, with the high points being Gamecube games on the system and a 3D Donkey Kong game. I'll get one when Mario or Zelda comes out probably.
Thought it was a poor showing tbh.
The stream had awful sync issues.
Nintendo continue to have gimmicky controls that's so unnecessary.
Too much focus on ports of games from a few years ago.
Game chat was hardly revolutionary and that framerate on friend's screens... yikes.
No price on stream was a strange choice.
Paid upgrades for Switch games when Nintendo should know better.
Welcome hub being a paid game is a joke in a post Astro's Playroom world.
Lack of big Nintendo games at launch. Outside of MK. At least Donkey Kong is something a bit different
The show was good I thought, but I'm easy to please - I always say that all I need from a Nintendo console is Mario Mart and Zelda, so it's an easy buy for me. It definitely won't replace PS5 as my primary console, but I'm very excited for it all the same.
It will replace my Steam Deck though.
I don't feel a need to get an upgraded version of that now at all.
Maybe not at launch, but I'll get Switch 2 no later than next Christmas.
Mario Mart looks great 🤤
Have always been Nintendo & PlayStation. That will never change. I have a PS5 pro & switch OLED. I’ll be there day 1 with switch 2. Nintendo knocked it out of the park ❤️
€470 for the console and €90! for Mario Kart World physical here. Insane asking €90 for a game and not a good sign.
DK game physical €80. And people call Sony greedy lmao. Also voice chat behind a paywall and paying for a showcase demo about the console. I lost all interest in getting a Switch 2 and hope for a nice deal for the Pro with Days of Play instead.
Mario Kart looks great, and Donkey Kong. But other than that it was a boring showcase with an annoying amount of rereleased games. PC seems like the go-to for the future
I need more details. What is the upgrade price for games, how much are these new micro sd cards we need to buy, and what will the games cost because I just saw Mario Kart is $80, if that means games in the UK will be £80, I'll be waiting before I jump in.
Nintendo are charging £75 for physical switch 2 games and 80 dollars.
Worst company ever, if this was Sony it would be an uproar.
Not really but there were some neat things in the show that are tempting for one being the fromsoft game. But also they finally revived Kirby Air Ride! And that was really about it tbh lol. Mario Kart going open world is cool, bet all the people shouting "not everything needs to be open world!" won't have anything to say about that because it's ninty. And the dk game looks interesting but I hate the god awful redesign and I would've preferred the next 3d Mario instead
Overall I'm not gonna buy one any time soon especially if these games are playable thru other means (wink wink). Oh yea and the 3rd party ports don't do anything for me. There are literally better ways to experience those games
No detailed tech specs for this thing yet lol. $479 and this thing is still likely to be the most underpowered console and handheld, in a market where many more powerful pc like handhelds are flooding the space.
Nintendo and their aging ips/ exclusives haven't been a selling point for me since I was a preteen lol especially when they went the way of gimmickry. Some third party stuff is nice but another Fromsoft mp cash grab isn't selling this for me.
It will be interesting to see how late up to release it gets before we finally know what the specs are for this.
Day one, console of choice? PS5 all the way. It's only day one for me because of Duskbloods. Along with whatever collectors edition Fromsoft put together for it. I'm just happy to see Nintendo fans getting better performance and options. Duskbloods screams graphic novel, I look forward to seeing what else gets marketed with the game. Most of the other Souls omnibuses are chonky enough to use as a weapon.
Because Cyberpunk 2077 worked so well on the PS4 Pro...
If the Switch felt like a console born out of inspiration, the Switch 2 feels like a console born out of obligation. It exists so Nintendo can keep up with the rest of the industry, which isn't a bad thing, but it hardly gives me anything to get excited about right now. I'm sure in a couple years it'll be pretty impressive, and that's when I might start caring about it.
Duskbloods multiplayer only? Damn, that sucks.
60 FPS Zelda and Bloodborne 2 sold me. Ill be there day one :/
I like how they told us everything but the price, unless I missed it.
Nah I'm good with Nintendo. The last time I had a Nintendo it was the nes.i was a sega genesis fan.now a Playstation fan Word up son
Supporting 4K, HDR, and 120fps is quite the improvement on Switch 1, but Sony and PlayStation have my heart and always will. Switch is a fill-in-the-blank console for me; I never "game on the go," and if docking to a TV wasn't available, I wouldn't have a Switch at all.
£67 for Mario Kart Wow
@GoodGame £425ish with Mario Kart bundle, but switch 2 games are now 80 dollars physically.
@goodgame £400
Like switch one was to my PS4 switch 2 will be secondary console to my ps5 and imagine my wife will play it more than me overall
@DonJorginho Nintendo is "different," so they're allowed to get away with stuff that Sony would be excoriated for.
I was open to buying one as an additonal system but then I saw the price of the system and the games. Far too much for a system that will still be behind the alternatives.
120fps screen is a good move. If the screen was OLED then I'd be more accepting of the price. But I can't imagine enough games will be 120 for that to be worth the launch price alone.
Don't get me started on the game pricing and punishing people for wanting proper ownership. Not that Sony are saints with this but at least I can shop around and get a deal (who actually pays full price on day 1 for ps5 games these days?). As we know Nintendo never discount first party games.
And tbh Nintendo games just don't have the pull over me that they do others so I'm not too bothered about missing exclusives. hell, I own a Switch and still haven't played most of those.
Regarding replacement, I do need to see more.
I don't play as many games as I used to, and spend far too much of what time I have with the PS5, and not switch.
If things like borderlands 4 runs well on the switch 2, I can see myself selling the PS5 ad this gen has been a disaster with regards to SP games I've enjoyed.
In recent years, GoW, FF16 have been the main 2 for me, along with GT7, and still crawling through Horizon as much as I like the look of it. Mist recent game I enjoyed was 2 point museum.
I'm not into last of us and soulslike, so been pretty sparse... I'm just glad with the upgrade paths on switch I still haven't played the zeldas. As now I can get the ultra turbo boost razzmatazz HD special limited edition- edition 🤣
Nah. And tbh, I wasn't interested anyway. I'd rather buy one of the many better alternatives, like Steamdeck. Most Nintendo franchises don't interest me and I don't like Nintendo as a company. The last Nintendo console I owned was 3ds which I found disappointing. A friend lent me his switch to give Zelda a try, but it didn't feel comfortable to use, unlike psvita or even psportal.
@Lowdefal that was one of many reasons I stopped buying Nintendo games and hardware. Some people say it's because they're evergreen titles, but even the ones that stop selling cost the same years after their release.
I'm sold and have it pre ordered at two different places (just to make sure), Mario Kart World and the new Donkey Kong look really good. Some older PS4 games like Street Fighter and Elden Ring are coming which is good for some but for those who already have a Playstation 5 then it's hard to get excited for the third party stuff coming to Switch 2 as they will play and look better on PS5, it's purely going to be a Nintendo first/second party exclusive machine for me and that's fine as Nintendo release so many games it's worth paying the price for them alone.
Price is fine and what I expected. The cost of new consoles really hasn’t skyrocketed in the past few decades despite inflation increasing costs across all industries. Plus components for SOCs are made almost exclusively in two countries. So it costs money to keep or open a new line. Despite the increased costs, it will sell well. As there are many Nintendo fans. Gaming is a hobby at the end of the day let’s not forget. With each new generation more value is provided to consumers. So it’s fair IMHO to ask for more coin. Consumers will dictate what pricing people will accept. I’m curious now what MS has in store for its handheld.
Wow, in the new Switch I can play games that I have already played in my Steam Deck of even my PS4...
On a more serious note, if you are not into Nintendo franchises (I am most certainly not) everything Nintendo does now is irrelevant. When the Switch initially released, I got one to play some of my favourite indies on the go but now we have the much more powerful PC handhelds. Moreover, third party exclusives are a relic of the past now.
The OG Switch seemed outdated the day I bought it with slow load times and uncomfortable grips.
Seems interesting, but I didn't see any killer apps. The problem Nintendo has is that for 3rd party games, nothing they show will impress compared to what is already possible with Sony and Microsoft hardware. And just about all the 3rd party announcements were just ports of games that have already been released.
Even most of their 1st party announcements were ports of Switch 1 games. They need to show more for me to even think about picking one up.
Nothing made me feel like I need it day one. Also, express cards or whatever they called it, will definitely make some people question why their SD card ain't working.
I'm sure they'll make it clear for the average Joe.
The hardware looks like a fine upgrade but I thought they did a poor job selling it by showing so many ports.
And while I think the console price is fine, the games are looking outrageously expensive.
Pro - console price, GameCube back compat, Mario kart, DK.
Cons - no oled, game prices, a lot of older games announced, upgrade costs.
I’m interested but probably not day 1
Waiting a while, but still going to mainly be a PS gamer
@get2sammyb beat me to it by seconds!
I love Sony's 1st party games too much to ditch the platform for Nintendo. And I don't think Nintendo gets nearly enough grief for the lackluster tentpole 1st party games on Switch 1: basically 2 amazing Zelda games + an okay Mario game. But I'm buying NS2 day one for Metroid and Duskbloods
Nintendo games aren't worth £75. Look forward to the 1st party games remaining that price for the duration of the Switch 2s existence. I wince at this because it was bad enough when they were releasing Wii U rereleases at £50 with very rare sales. It's only recently that some first party games have dropped to about £35.
That from soft game has me day 1
Digital sharing ecosystem is getting better like I'd expected, but digital prices should be made cheaper.
Keep physical trading tax as-is.
Other than that, Nintendo is heading in the right direction👌
Looking forward to Palworld 2~ 😚
It looks good to me, I will be getting one but not day one, Mario Kart does make me very tempted though!
I like having Nintendo as my secondary console despite being lured by the Steam deck which I keep considering!!
It looks awesome and I will probably get it eventually but won’t be in any rush to pick it up day one unless some crazy game announcements come out the woodwork in the next couple of months. Will probably wait for the inevitable OLED upgrade.
I've no need for a S2 as I don't even play my S1 at all, yes it's great it has 256GB storage with SD card expansion, Ethernet port on the dock 1080p handheld great but I feel it has all of it because of the complaints from S1 over the last decade (if it's not 10 years sure does feel like it)
I miss the days of the consoles wars Nintendo Vs Sony Vs Microsoft least I got to experience it, new consoles reveals just don't have that bang anymore
I feel in 5 years time it will be struggling with games and you can't tell me this handheld doesn't rely heavy on upscaling.
But £75 for a game no fking way sorry no it's like Sony they own it's digital releases as well and you can't buy them any other way. Why I use PC as my main and PS5 as a sub hell I play more PS3 and Xbox 360 today because used games are peanuts and I'm collecting a lot
Hell, if it weren't for my PS4 game library, I'd sell my PS5 for the Switch 2.
@KundaliniRising333 Windows sucks on handhelds and most of the PC handhelds run it. With switch 2 you don't have all the bs that comes with M$ and windows 11.
I do own a RoG Ally(white one).
@get2sammyb it will be a hard sell to those whom already own a switch for sure. New console launches generally are for the enthusiasts of said whom must have the new hardware. As for the ports, it’s no different than the PS5 launch and counting. Nintendo’s challenge will be how quickly to bring new exclusive content and experiences to the switch 2.
Also I loathe the joycons, the most uncomfortable first party controller ever, there needs to be third party options first (I use Hori ones on S1). And the Pro controller is simply not an option at that rrp.
I'll keep my PS5 for the rare yearly exclusives I like won't be on Switch 2 or. Anything else I will be getting on Switch 2.
Don't have any need for a travel console. Maybe if I had a long commute or something maybe I'd be interested. Just not a Nintendo fan in general. Last Nintendo console I had was a Wii and no interest in buying any Nintendo product since. Only other Nintendo product I owned was a yellow Gameboy back in the day. Give me proper consoles! 😂
Really poor showing to me. Nintendo used to be the place for innovation, but all I saw is online chat locked behind a Nintendo online sub (available everywhere else for over a decade), and using a joycon like a mouse, useless unless you sit at a desk to play.
Mario kart is always fun, but increasing the number of carts just seems a nuisance to me, though I liked other design elements.
Most of the 3rd party games we've seen before looking much better, so they held no attraction. The new DK game looked ok, and the from soft exclusive might be ok next year, though it was clearly not technically great.
I was unexpectedly not at all impressed. I guess at least I get to keep that money - always a silver lining 😄
Nope, i’ll stick with my original Switch. Havent watched the stream, but checked the info afterwards, cool but i’m not quite sold. I’ll wait and see what Playstation and Xbox have in store for their handheld.
Funny how some thought the Switch 2 would be $399 or cheaper, i guess the Pro’s price doesn’t seem all that crazy anymore
I’m not sold on it. I’m interested in the new Mario Kart but I have a short enjoyment span out of those games mainly because I’m always moving onto the next game so I don’t come back to the old anymore.
Mario kart alone isn’t enough for me to buy the new hardware and it’s the only thing to stand out, but Pokemon can certainly help get more use out of it.
Unfortunately the new price puts me off so I’m thinking i may just stick with the original switch for Pokémon and get a Switch 2 when there’s a bigger range of games. All 3rd party games will continue to be bought on PS5.
I'm sure I'll get one at some point but so far it's a bunch of older games that will run and look better elsewhere (and have done for years) plus Mario Kart. The latter will obviously be fun but in exactly the same way MK8 is. Also, as I've got older I don't really play games with friends - if we meet up it's to go to the pub, go out for the day, see a band etc, so it's basically me driving in circles on my own if I get MK. Not really bothered about playing randoms online. So yeah, it'll take a new Zelda or some exclusive JRPGs to tempt me.
When I saw the Nintendo Store is limiting it to Online members with 50 hours of playtime, I was like "Good point." I just don't play my Switch 1 enough.
I'm not interested at launch. I'm sure I'll get one eventually but nothing is really speaking to me much outside of Mario Kart but even then I have some concerns about the open world nature of it.
GameCube support is cool though so I guess there's that.
FF7 Remake, Bravely Default, Switch 2 version of BoTW, TotK and Legends Z-a, Elden Ring + Duskblood, and GC for NSO. You bet I'm getting a Switch 2 (not day 1 tho but as soon as possible)
Fine with the console price but $90 for a physical copy of Mario Kart is insane. And people say Sony is greedy?
I went from "meh, just an ok showing" to "I´m getting a Switch 2" after The Duskbloods trailer.
Great if you only play Nintendo consoles. Average if you have other options. Their reliance on the ports just highlights that better and cheaper versions are available on competing platforms. Personally I wouldn’t want to play Elden Ring on a portable. That world deserves the biggest screen you have. No OLED option at launch is predictable (they’ll sell those to double dippers in 4 years) but still disappointing for a predominantly handheld focused device.
Oh, and charging for tutorial software…so very Nintendo 😀.
No, I have zero interest to even look into this or watch the show. I respect the Nintendo of these days, I hear nothing but praise from their target audience, but I’m not it. Feels too arcade for me, just give me the more serious gaming experiences on my Pro.
Nintendo is the only company from whom I enjoy first party games. I'll get new Mario Kart and Metroid Prime day one.
I've had a switch for almost 7 years. I've purchased two games for it and played it a cumulative four hours or so. I'd sell it if there wasn't sentimental value attached. Instead I check in on it every few months and make sure the battery is topped off and healthy.
I'll be picking up the bundle £429.99, it's definitely a secondary console to my PS5 Pro. I wonder how much they'll sell the port's for? at the right price I'll buy both Zelda games again for 4K HDR & better frame rates.
I’m a Sony guy first and foremost. But I have been a Nintendo fan since the NES and have owned almost every Nintendo system.
I had the Switch at launch, and I will have the Switch 2 at launch if the fates are kind.
I'm not the target audience. I didn't watch the stream. I won't watch the stream. I will find out about it eventually. But I like to upgrade for the type of games I play, and Switch 2 would still be a downgrade console compared to a PS5 Pro regardless.
I might get baited into trying a super upgraded new Legend of Zelda game whenever they make a "next gen" one of those. But I'd end up regretting bothering, most likely 😅
What the ***** is wrong with nintendo? Mario kart costs 90€ HELL NO
I'll definitely be pre ordering one if I can.
My only disappointment was no 3D Mario game but Donkey Kong looks pretty cool
I'm probably 60-40 Sony - Nintendo and I was really really looking forward to the Direct today but it had way too much of everything I said it shouldn't have at the dinner table last night and almost nothing it should. 😢
@DonJorginho They’re going to be $80? 😳 Lol, all this talk about PS jacking up prices if they don’t have competition and now Nintendo just beat them to it 😂
No time for a second console, my PS5 Pro serves me well enough. I bought a switch but sold due to lack of use. I will also not be buying $80 games from anyone! Deep sales or nothing.
@LogicStrikesAgain
I think I read headlines saying $80 digital, $90 physical
Probably won’t get it on Day 1, however will likely buy it by the end of the year. Looking forward most to DK Bananza and Metroid Prime 4. The ports of games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring are enticing too. Never played them on PS4/5 so this would be a good opportunity to finally get around to them.
Nah im a one console guy, well apart from my Anbernic 556 but that's just for emulators 😀
Yes because nintendo have exlusive games, so of course I'm gonna buy it. I don't know about my main console, but if it can play games like elden ring and hogwart legacy at 60 fps maybe the console will be my main.
Price is a bit higher than expected but that’s the way the world is going. I’ve always loved Zelda and Mario, so the opportunity to playa new Mario kart, windwaker and another Hyrule warriors game is intriguing. Cant see me buying this console for a few years though
@Rich33 Oh my, that is pretty steep, i wonder if Nintendo will get heat for it, since Sony has been preemptively getting flack for ‘possibly’ raising prices for a while now hehe.
(Although i do personally agree that game prices have stagnated a while and game development costs do warrant a price increase)
Lets be real. Technically it's an impressive system. The price for the console is high, but I could live with that and consider it as a one time entry fee. However, €90 for a physical game is RIDICULOUS!!!
GTA6 is probably going to be cheaper.
It killed all my hype...
Never owned a Nintendo anything and have no use for a Switch over my PS5 or Series X.
I would rather use the money towards a pc build or a TV upgrade both of which are somewhat over due.
Regarding prices i remember getting my 1st playstation in 1994 (thats just over 30 years ago) at HMV for £289.99 with Ridge Racer Revolution.
I was going to say I'm in no rush to get one but will do down the line. But I just can't justify paying £75 for a game. It's just too much. I don't pay £70 for a new game now on my ps5. But Nintendo games don't drop in price. So now I feel I'm getting priced out of gaming. This is coming from an adult who has his own business. But with the cost of living so high now. I think this is going to be a pass for me. 😔
Depends if this also suffers from stick drift. I’m fuming ps thinks stick drift is ok and will be switching to pc at the end if my ps5 life
I’m kinda like, well I have Switch at home.
If the PS5 Pro can come down in price just a wee bit I’ll buy that instead and get a Switch 2 in a few years when the OLED is out and there’s more games available.
Well i was interested until it was revealed digital games will cost 80$ so I'm good.
I’m all in shrug
The fact 1st party physical is $90 is outrageous. Will be a good reason to skip imo. And digital at $80. Nintendo doing some very Nintendo things. Makes that eyewatering $100+ price tag for GTA6 seem much more plausible now
Look like Switch 2 games are going to cost $80USD.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch2/comments/1jpps09/nintendo_switch_2_game_price_revealed_what_the_fck/
Screw the Switch 2 with games priced at $80 and to hell with any handheld running windows 11. I'm buying a steamos based handhelds from this point on.
Am I missing where it was confirmed that all digital games will be $79.99? I've only seen that Mario Kart game confirmed so far.
I’ll get one for my nephew because I want to be the cool Uncle that a prophecy claimed I would become
@LogicStrikesAgain
Like you i have mixed feelings with game price. I think £80 is acceptable if you are talking a AAA game with no microtransactions, that is technically top notch, and which has been tested and optimised properly.
I think we will see the price with PS6, but the rest....
Im not really into switch - its not really my thing, and even for the switch 2 the specs just aren't there for me (im more Pro / 4k120hz decent sized TV) - but the price point I read in a couple of headlines for Switch 2 (both console and game price) does seem to be the polar opposite to where their fanbase is. Maybe im wrong (and maybe the headlines I read are wrong).
Looked brilliant and I'll absolutely be getting one, for both myself and the kids.
Not sure if you read the famatsu information yet, there is a domestic exclusive japanese version for 50k Yen = 310€ while international ist 470€... that huge diffrence
I understand, company wise, why they want to dominate their own japanese market and show sony and other their market dominance... but it feels like the world is paying for japanese support~
while switch always is my 2nd console, i would never play duskblood on it... neither any Shooter, Action Adventure, or similar...
i guess even tho i want Bravely Default remaster & Zelda in 60 fps i will wait on a deal and more games to come... hoping 1-2 years of exclusivity for duskblood and that they will fly by....
No I won’t be buying one I have everything I need gaming wise with the PRO 👊
For me - Mario kart looks awesome but everything, GameCube games are cool, I really like the idea of the donkey kong game but didn’t warm to it and then there’s nothing else I like the look of at the moment. Also I didnt think the 3rd party games looked all that good. That coupled with the price makes it a difficult one to pull the trigger on for day one.
I think the fact that India Jones, Doom, THPS, MGS and GTA6 (hopefully) are all coming on PS5 this year makes it easier just to wait and see.
@AdamNovice Ports from games a few years ago. You're using that ? Really ?
$450 + $80/game? I stick with my PS4 & 5.
@LogicStrikesAgain
Oh, and in answer to your 1st question, I doubt it (that Nintendo will get as much heat/flak as Sony) - I never have understood why, but Sony always seems to get more than anyone else!
I'll be there Day 1, mostly for Nintendo games.
The hardware looks great. Up to 4K on a TV, 1080p handheld. 120Hz with VRR, HDR. The only thing the screen is missing is OLED. But most of the time I play on a TV so it's not as much of a big deal for me. Just hoping it's a a GOOD LCD display like the PS Portal, not a bad one like Switch 1 or launch Steam Deck. Faster storage and only using Micro SD EXPRESS means faster loads than Switch 1. Switch 1 Pro controller is compatible.
The Software was a mixed bag - There was a LOT of it, but most was ports of games that already exist on better hardware. But the new FromSoft game The Duskbloods stole the show, Mario Kart looked good, Donkey Kong looked fun, then there's Metroid, Kirby and more. But it was missing one big Final thing.
Where they had me is with paid upgraded Zelda BOTW and ToTK as well as free upgrades to games like Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Links Awakening and more. That alone is hundreds of hours of fun for me, many of those games I have been holding off in playing for Switch 2 + Xenoblade X.
Downsides is game prices. WTF man?
Day 1 for me with Mario Kart and Donkey Kong jumping straight the the top of my most anticipated list for this year. It's a shame the screen is LCD but 120hz and HDR will still make it worthwhile to play handheld. I can't wait
@__Seraph @DonJorginho @Nalim Launch title games are always ways overpriced. It's not a Nintendo thing. Ps5 launch games had exorbitant prices as well and now commonly 60-80€ at release, also digitally 80+ which is a joke. Big Switch titles however can usually be purchased for 45-60€ at release. The so called "Nintendo Tax" isn't real. And don't say Nintendo games are worth less quality wise or not "real games".
I was planning on buying it until I saw the game prices. Nintendo games are good but not that good that they can charge almost 90€ for games physically and 80 digitally.
I'm really surprised Nintendo gets away with this from gamers of Sony or Microsoft would do this they get hanged.
Honestly, disappointed. First, the technology is outdated. It looks like what the Switch should have been when they released the new "pro" model 4 years ago. Then the game offering is not exciting at all. Mario Kart or Party Games, well I'm no longer 8 years old anymore. Plus the games will cost $90 and you will need to buy the "remastered" versions of Zelda games. There is 0 incentive to be milked like that. Like someone else said above, the PS5 digital is less expensive...
@tameshiyaku No PS5 games were ever £75/$80 at launch for the standard editions, don’t change history to suit your narrative.
Also the most I’ve ever seen a digital standard edition priced here in the UK on PSN is £70, Nintendo look to be going lower at £66.99 via press releases but that is the ploy to funnel gamers away from physical, just like Sony do with the digital console pricing and the “optional” disc drives.
Of course you will be able to get the Switch 2 games for cheaper via third party stores, but the principle they’re setting will now ripple through all the big publishers and the digital marketplace will become even more of a rip off than before.
And I’m not discarding the value of Nintendo games? Why assume that? I have multiple Nintendo games in my T25 games of ALL TIME and have owned every Nintendo generation day one, this will be the first I don’t buy day one because the pricing of games and accessories is awful atm and the launch library is a little lacking, I don’t want to pay £400 for a Mario Kart machine, I’ll get one when it’s also packed with all the other Nintendo games I love (including Mario Kart World which looks great!)
@devil76 Yes I am considering this is a new system so it's reasonable to expect new games. If you look at the PS5 reveal, outside of GTA5 every other games shown was brand new. Today Nintendo showed about 5 new games in an hour long direct.
@themightyant Donkey Kong was that big final thing for me, I've been waiting over 25 years for a new 3D Donkey Kong and I thought it looked great.
Prices are crazy though
@ShogunRok Mario Kart World alone is enough for me, I think about 2 thirds of my time on the current Switch has being on Mario Kart. Granted, that and Donkey Kong seem to be doing much of the heavy lifting around launch with plenty of 3rd party stuff I've already played or ignored, BUT, if I could have hand picked 2 games for me, these would have been at the very top of the list
I'm pretty into everything they had going on. I do, however, think they're being too coy about some details (is Mario Kart's price the norm? Switch 2 Edition is great, but how much is the upgrade? WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST TALK PRICES??? I'll just tentatively blame "Liberation Day," I guess...) and there wasn't quite enough big Nintendo software.
Although, it's also pretty clear Switch 1 is going to coexist with 2, and you could honestly just consider Tomodachi Life and Rhythm Heaven as upcoming Switch 2 games. They also did have some interesting new IPs, but really didn't do a good job selling them.
I think what's pretty fair to assume, though, is they're holding on to their holiday releases until "E3." It's launching with Mario Kart and Donkey Kong, along with unprecedented 3rd-party support for Nintendo and S2 Edition games (that aren't just boosted frames and resolution). But they certainly have their bigger games (I would guess Mario and Animal Crossing) coming out for Christmas. Air Rider's pending unveiling is plenty evidence of another big showcase before the end of the year.
like realistic - i see that over the time games got more expensive to produce and price tag hardly moved over decades, therefore i can justify an increase
BUT how can you justify that for low cellshade, no texture, few million game that will be selling like crazy? And that beeing the new standard breaker?
Yes if GTA 6 decided to sell for 100... after they spend 300mil to make~ i kinda can understand that move - like it or not
but for a mario kart? hardly has cost assuming 50million to make? (don't have accurate number but would love to see one)
Mario Kart World Costs $80, $30 Cheaper if You Buy It Bundled With the Nintendo Switch 2
https://www.ign.com/articles/mario-kart-world-costs-80-30-cheaper-if-you-buy-it-bundled-with-the-nintendo-switch-2
I’m going to help my son buy one if he decides he wants it. Metroid Prime 4, Mario Kart World, and Donkey Kong all seem like solid games but I don’t see the need to buy one for myself right now at $500 when I already have a PS5 Pro & Steam Deck OLED.
I actually got less interested as the presentation went on.
I'll own one regardless, but I'm not feeling in a rush to run out and get one Day 1. I thought a lot of the games that were 2nd or 3rd party looked VERY last gen, with a few exceptions. I don't buy Nintendo for that stuff, but it's just not as impressive on that front as I thought I'd be. Having a new Mario Kart is fine, but I just don't know if I need that right now.
@DonJorginho Listen, I'm not riding some narrative. Why should I? New ps5 games cost 79.99€ here in Europe, I'm not pulling these numbers out of my a**.
Here some current example:
https://amzn.eu/d/70sJe9Z
https://amzn.eu/d/fA7uxXY
A bit of bargain hunting could get it 10€ cheaper at launch, but 80€ is standard fair, and the euro is currently higher than the dollar.
Xenoblade X for example
https://amzn.eu/d/3FM7ME6
Just saying that console launch games have traditionally been inflated, and that it usually calms down over time.
Not for 700$ Canadian... These new consoles are way too expensive and Mario Kart is not good enough to sell a new console.
It costs more than a PS5!
I'll still get one, as the kit itself looks very tidy. But no new Zelda or 3D Mario game is a shame. And classic Nintendo, having to pay to up the frame rate on BOTW...
I mean, BOTW is my favourite ever game, so I'll get the Switch 2 and the upgrade... but there isn't ONE first party game I am remotely interested in...
and anybody have wheelchair basketball on their bingo card??
@Mikey856
I was dissatisfied as well but I didn’t want to be I really wanted something special.
Yes the mouse thing is weird, I guess we gonna have joycon mouse mats now 🤣 as I don’t play near a desk, silly idea.
As for the games MK World, no mention of the great online like in MK8, just roam the world and take silly photos with friends.
And DK not sure on that game, definitely not on first showing the standard I was wanting, but it may have some good surprises.
But yes underwhelming for me.
@tameshiyaku Amazon is way too expensive then, DS2 is €70 in the Netherlands at a well known online store comparable to Amazon ( BOL.com ). AC Shadows €65, MH Wilds €55 at the same shop. And i never paid €90 for a game yet, also not at the launch of the PS5.
Besides that, Nintendo used to be cheaper than PlayStation/ Xbox games. Mario Kart being €20 more expensive as a big budget title like DS2 is wild. And there probably will be a season pass on top of that.
At least the game upgrades seem to be consistent, unlike PS4 to PS5 upgrade which made no sense. Sometimes free, sometimes paid and sometimes there was no upgrade possibilities. And the power jump will be more interesting. Games have barely evolved since the PS4
The last game i got on Switch was TotK, and its been sat their gathering dust since, i only ever use it if theres a power cut.
I might be tempted if it vastly improves the framerate for Echoes of Wisdom. Ive pretty much forgotten about nintendo since they dropped the virtual store
I adore Playstation (and Xbox, for that matter), but I've always been a Nintendo kid first and foremost since childhood. Switch 2 will be my main console, but I'll probably double dip on a lot of multiplat games like I did with the first Switch.
@Nalim As I said in a previous comment, if you look around you can buy these games 10€ cheaper (sometime 20€ if you're lucky). Capcom Games usually go down in price very quick as they often overproduce. And I've also never seen a base game cost 90€ msrp. Only seen it with past launch games, but that was due to greedy retailers, not msrp.
I'm sure we'll see switch 2 games move around 50-60€ physically very soon.
I can't get into Nintendo don't understand their success at all. IMO they make all these gimmicky system's so a lot of people will buy it play it for a little while than it's just collecting dust. I thought The Switch 1 was too high for what it can do now The Switch 2 is $500 for a system that's probably on the same power level as last gen consoles
Before greedily consuming the many comments, I would love to add my own reaction.
It looks good if you're into Nintendo and the Switch from what I can tell.
Am I interested? No, and the portal made me believe in handhelds.
I have a large library of games that are given out for free via Epic, so a handheld should either have that library or access to my playstation library.
I think that the game lineup looks like a total cop-out and an opportunity for Sony to enter the market of true handhelds.
As far as I could tell,
Mario Kart World, Drag x Drive
Duskbrood, Kirby Air Riders
Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Bananza
is just the beginning, and I am sure that for many switchers the 3rd party influx of old news triple A is fresh and will garner sales, but if Sony improves its output and goes away from live service and targets the hybrid crowd with a true handheld we could see an awesome competition between the two companies where PlayStation could compete with better games (Astro) and better handhelds.
Going to take a wait and see approach. Most games shown were already on other systems, the ones that weren't were underwhelming except Duskbloods, but not really into PVP for those types of games. My biggest issue will be if the controllers drift again. My Switch would have gotten a lot more playtime if it was not for that. I ended up buying 3 separate joycons - they ALL had the issue. Sent them in to be fixed, and within 1 month they had it again. Not biting this time.
£400 LCD device
£75 games
A bunch of hd rereleases, I don't know that was pretty depressing stuff from Nintendo
@AdamNovice It is reasonable I agree, but how many old games has the ps5 had remastered ? I'm sure Seitch 2 in time will have some new games
Give me PSN trophy integration for the games and stop focusing on social play and it could become my (non VR gaming) console of choice. Will never happen, obviously.
Nintendo is japanese Apple
@MotorCityBengals
Hey, to be fair, Apple at least has up-to-date hardware. Nintendo offers outdated hardware at a luxury price.
Nah, I'm good with my PS5 Pro. Nintendo style games aren't for me anymore. Also, that FromSoftware exclusive doesn't do anything for me. I respect the game design from that studio, (because some of the games I play have been clearly influenced by it), but I don't like the lack of difficulty options in their games. 🤷🏽♂️
The cost of Mario Kart (which will now become industry standard for supposed AAA) merely reinforced my decision to move away from console. Invest the money now in a solid PC and you'll never look back. A handful of exclusives over an entire generation is no reason to buy a console. The competition between storefronts despite Steams overall dominance plus the frequent and steep discounts means I've likely bought my last console. Only took 4 decades of gaming! Plus VR is massively underrated and quite excellent.
@tameshiyaku I dont think Switch 2 games will drop to €50-€60 soon, Switch 1 games from Nintendo also dont drop a lot in price, even after years. At least here in the Netherlands.
And Ive never seen a game €90 bc of a greedy retailer either. But we ll see, i just dont see it happening. I can say though that i was interested in getting a Nintendo console for the first time since the GameCube, and after this Direct im not even considering getting a Switch 2 anymore.
I was gonna buy a Switch but held off until the Switch 2. Now though, I'm thinking of buying a Steam Deck instead.
Day one it's just me Uce
I'm starting to feel like a lot of people that frequent this site are actually just Nintendo fanboys which... would honestly explain a lot.
@ATaco
Yes, I noticed that too. So many comments claimed that the Switch 2 would outsell the PS5, even though it wasn't even clear how much it would cost or what it could do. But everyone was still sure that Nintendo would save gaming and Sony would go multiplatform. Yeah, the reality is often different...
btw I'll probably buy a PS5 Pro. The Switch 2 is too expensive and the hardware doesn't justify the price at all.
No interest at all at the minute but I'm sure that'll change as soon as they show a new 3d mario. Now thats a system seller
@1UP-HUSKY I think the slight majority of Switch game purchasers are parents - let's see how it goes down with them over time.
Honestly its a wonderful everything i saw, but 79% of my games are Sony, So Switch for me is not interesting.
@ATaco I wonder how all the people here who proclaimed they were switching to Nintendo because of the "anti-consumer" PS5 Pro feel today.
I was expecting the s2 to be expensive, but not that expensive and Nintendo seems to be nickeling and diming you on everything else, so probably a pass at launch and I’ll just wait for more exclusives to come out.
$450 is better spent on a PS5 - Nintendo abandons it's 'value conscience' mantle.
I was moderately interested (for my son), till the prices were revealed...
Family Friendly my A$$.
I wanted to pre-order. never mind I've owned just about every Nintendo console ever made, and purchased a stupid amount of games. because I'm not a subscriber to the rubbish that is switch online, I'm not deemed worthy by Nintendo to be allowed to preorder. fek this.
I will stick to my PS5 Pro and 50" 4K Sony TV to game! Small screens are tedious.
I’m put off by the prices. Mario Kart World standard looks to be close to £80 which is insane. Plus the tech demo game costs extra?!
There aren’t many Nintendo games that spark my interest. Sure, I like Mario but not enough to buy a console for it. Pokemon once would persuade me to buy but seeing as each game keeps getting worse there is no incentive at all.
I’m way more inclined to buy a Steam Deck.
HELL NO system is under powered and to dam high there is no way in hell a Nintendo game is worth 80 buck so no buy and maybe never unless half price at the pawnshop !
That showing was a letdown and continues the trend of Nintendo following up a successful console with a letdown
A clever Nintendo should have thousands upon thousands of these consoles already in the USA prior to the tango tax.
I know Sony is greedy, but Nintendo seems to be taking it to another level. Locking what should be basic features behind a paywall and also forcing you to purchase games all over again that got upgrades. Yes, Sony has released far too many remasters and such, but at least a lot of them can be upgraded for only $10. That along with 1st party games that are really old still going for nearly full price most of the year.
The real kicker for me though is the fact that the Switch 2 will only support expensive micro SD cards. No longer the basic ones, so I can't just transfer over any Switch games I have. Considering how poor the internal memory is on both systems, that's a deal breaker for me. I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on top of $450 just because they didn't want to let it work with both.
People will still flock to it and it will sell incredibly well all over again, and people will buy millions of copies of the same games over again because when it comes to Nintendo, their fans don't care about the greed. The dock for it is great, but there's no way in hell I'm buying it as my secondary console.
Definitely going to get one, but gonna wait till they have a model with a better battery life
It's too expensive, so I'll probably wait till you can get the console when there's a bundle at around base price, and hopefully in an alternate color. The greyish black looks so dull, here's hoping for a quick release of a red console Mario bundle.
If they make another OLED model it will be firmly at $500 or more, at that point it's genuinely too expensive to even consider.
@ApostateMage go with the deck oled. Twice better unless you wanna play Nintendo exclusives for switch 2. Emulator is the way to go lol. I have tons of Nintendo wiiu games on my deck, including zelda wind waker hd and some mario and DK games.
I am disappointed. I was looking forward to it until Nintendo went full greedy with it.
Charging for last gen upgrades, huge game price increase and the system itself nearing the limit.
None of the games were for me either.
So... I am thinking about waiting on this one until games that interest me are out.
@3Above It plays modern games, switch one games and is portable... so yeah, it does have reasons why it would be more compelling to some people than the ps5.
I have the switch 1 and I've put more hours into switch games than any other console.
Everything I wanted was included in the announcement but I still don't feel desperate to go out and buy a switch 2 on day 1. Especially due to £75 games, charging for upscaled graphics on switch 1 stuff and even charging for the tech demo.
I'll probably wait a year or 2 until there is an oled version and the games get regular heavy discounts.
They simply priced me out of consideration. I'm not going anywhere CLOSE to an $80 game. ***** THAT noise.
Day 1 buy if i can get one.
The fact that a Switch is now more expensive than a PS5 console (digital) really shines a new light on the value proposition of all these devices
I'm pretty sure that my PS5, my Series S and the original Switch won't mind the arrival of a new member to the family. Though this price tag is a little too high for my taste, will wait a while to get one.
Of course it’s expensive. Thems Liberation Day prices baby!
I'm not a PS5 fan and stopped being a PlayStation fan this gen, but I voted anyway. I think the switch 2 itself is good. But there were no games shown that I was interested in or would play. It was nice to see yakuza 0, but I played that already. And the price of the switch 2 has completely put me off from getting it as there are better choices elsewhere.
Nope. Not for me. Anything cross platform won't be worth playing on that system over a ps5/xbox/PC which automatically means it's purely about the exclusives.
None of Nintendo's exclusives appeal to me, they are all aimed at kids and play as such imo.
Not knocking it, it's a tactic that has proven to be incredibly beneficial to them I'm just not the target audience as an adult and never really understood how other adults have bought into it either but each to their own.
The only appeal I can potentially see is in the handheld space but that's a niche thing and there's plenty of other options now with ps portal or a steam deck amongst others if that's what you want.
I don't think it's done anything at all to entice non-switch owners over to Nintendo but the price point has probably turned the more casual Nintendo fan away. Will be interesting to see sales figures if availability isn't restrictive. It will still undoubtedly sell plenty but I can't see how it sells as well as the switch.
Its a catchup HDR & more/iteration console. It's boring. Switch 1 I don't like either. Sure Vita ports/Indies ok gimmicks/HD handheld. It's ok.
The ports by third parties is understandable even if a bit who cares. Lol SW Outlaws thanks Ubisoft for that as your game at launch. XD Any other game sure but Outlaws. Why? Where is Far Cry 2 to 6 on Switch? Or anything else? 3rd parties feel like 'were timing it with the launch'. Like Wii U, whenever close or months later. Not surprised, not exciting either.
The robot wheelchair basketball needs to have depth or if like Arms who cares it's too limited. Cool use for it to a degree, but also eh robot basketball, it's like in 2004, the DS mentioning of football gameplay/info, it's so who cares to normies. Pikmin 4 sucked and FE Engage is ok at normie appeal accessible so eh not happy with Nintendo on that.
Fakrnew 3D DK & other games, fair Switch 2 enhancements sure.
Game share is DS download play/PSP game share again, it's demos, who cares. Continuation of an old feature, ok.
The OS looks same from settings page. So Xbox One to Series move, not exciting. New buttons sure, otherwise bland/safe. Hardware/visual tech catchup & boring menu...
Voice chat makes me REALLY MAD give me tech gimmicks I care for not 100 more ways to socialise. Sick to death of it. Like Xbox did oh the TV TV TV I preferred that app/game Windows 8 screen use over socialising. RIP app that use in 2017.
C button is a joke. At least not another capture button on other Joycon, sigh.
IR on left joycon, like right Joycon besides few games/Labo barely used. Why can't I swap controllers to use them backwards Nintendo? Or 3rd parties. WHY?!!!
Give me WIimote style play coward devs. Or better IR use then RE Rev VR style reload/IR camera app/Brain Age.
Laser pointer doesn't impress. I'd have preferred another gimmick instead. How it's used will wait. HD Rumble sucked & Impulse Triggers on Xbox One 2013+ (rumble triggers basically) & Dualsense Haptics/Trigger tension was great way more impressive. But Series S/X gave us a share button...... so yeah....
Magnets fine compared to rails.
4K dock did surprise me. HDR who cares I hate HDR, good artstyle sure, HDR makes them look terrible. Supporting because TV makers/GPU makers/devs push for it, I hate it. It's a bad filter/visual tech. If I wanted piss/sepia filter I'd play Grid 2008/others.
Quality/Performance mode, sure.....
$600 for a Switch 2, I bought a Switch 1 for $300 pre owned in a second hand market store, not my JB or EB Games pre owned either. I wasn't paying $450 whether cheaper than that for the Lite, or OG model/better battery life or OLED at I think $450 or $500.
$670 for a PS5 Astro bundle my region I don't even want yet is a good price really. Let alone $800 normally.
So yeah $100 games when we had $69 remasters or $79 games, so a $20 jump to be inline with PS5/Series X pass.
Switch 2 is not clear of internal storage/OS but says 256GB game cards then 32GB as max, what's internal storage Nintendo?
So with those not answered yet & being a catchup console. I don't care.
Competitive with Steam Deck/PC handhelds as a games console no PC side, sure, but high priced, underwhelming gimmicks & not a lot here. Yeah pass.
I already wasn't interested, I'm even more not interested and staying on Switch 1, PS4, Xbox One still along with retro consoles. Beat 30 games in 2024, 6 so far in 2025, all old consoles beside Splatoon 2 in 2024.
NINETY DOLLARY DOOS for a game cart?!
@Diowine PS3 and Wii is a nice combination. PS3 even got Persona 5. Demon's Souls and Xenoblade Chronicles are still going strong. Launch model PS3 with PS2 (as well as PS1) backward compatibility, and original Wii with GameCube compatibility isn't bad either....
Looking forward to playing Patapon on PS5 and Switch (handheld mode.)
Only thing that could turn me away is going to be game pricing. Console as such is way beyond what I and most expected, and people who are trying to say otherwise are just delulu..
It'll always be a secondary console, and I refuse to pay the $450 USD ($500 with Mario Kart World).
I'll wait for a rare dirt cheap sale in a few years, keeping an eye on Wario64, Slickdeals, and SwitchDeals/ConsoleDeals subreddits.
On the bright side though, I AM happy it's 4K @ 60 fps docked or 1080p @ 120 fps in handheld mode.
Definitely. I pre-ordered this morning with Alza here in Cz. I thought it was a great presentation and it seemed to be like they listened to customers gripes about switch 1 and improved on literally everything.
The switch is my secondary console but I play it maybe 1% of the time and 99% on Playstation so it is a hard sell. I miss a trophy system on switch 2 and of course I hate 30 FPS games. I think only Nintendo exclusives will sometimes run in 60 FPS and the indy games but everything else will stuck at 30 and therefore is will remain the console that sits around and will be used only for Nintendo exclusives from time to time.
@SolarSpirit86 Thanks
@DonJorginho Thank you
My biggest issue with the switch were never the specs, but the flimsy feeling of the device and the terrible joycons.
I wish they'd gone with a thicker studier console.
Right now I see the switch mainly as a holiday console to play indie titles on.
No, i have a switch and i enjoyed it for moments but i am not playing on it enough to justify buying the switch 2.
Aside from this, their direct had some scumbaggery, showing that introduction game and then casually mentioning it's a paid thing (like, really?), that left a sour taste in my mouth.
I wasn't fully impressed with the whole direct either. 95% of it was (very) old games being playable on the switch 2, like whooptidoo, i played those games already.
Their 2 new games were, again, more of the same. It's another mario kart and another donkey kong. Looks fun but were is the innovation Nintendo? You show a whopping 1(!) launch game and it's a number 8 or 9 or whatever. Nothing truly new and exciting.
Not sold yet. I can live with no Oled but why no nvme in 2025? super microsd will hold games back, also ok new Mario Kart is great but nothing we haven't seen before and its just one game
Anyone super excited bout this one is not thinking right. The Switch was an awesome console for 3 yrs then it was so dated that it was a chore to play. Why didn’t Nintendo announce specs?? I think it’s because they know that it’s gonna have the same problem Switch did.
@BolkaRover that’s crazy since preorders aren’t even live yet!!!!!
The paltry 2-6.5 hour battery life was the decider for me. If not for that I would have pre-ordered.
@Culjoseth yeah. Alza.cz 😎
Replace? no
Accompany? yes.
it's the same way how I have both PS4 and Switch for their own exclusives. They're not competing with each other in my gaming ecosystem, they're complementing each other.
And of course there are my PS5 and PC as well for graphical intensive games, but Switch will always have its place for their own exclusives that I love. Fire Emblem and Xenoblade series were a good example, too bad the software launch titles for Switch 2 sucks. So I'll be holding off purchasing it, especially at CA$625 for base unit.
@DonJorginho @Nalim as expected, launch prices are overinflated and the reality in retail will be cheaper (EU at least), sooner than expected.
https://youtu.be/YZIk9_CpuvQ?si=3Z-qi8Ldve6vIpCz
@tameshiyaku Cheapest i can find MKW in the Netherlands is €85 and that is with the retailer i mentioned earlier, which also sells the Switch 2 and the Switch 2 MKW bundle for the same price as Nintendo. Other retailers are asking €90 and €500/€550 for the console and console bundle. I hope there will be lower prices, but i'm not that sure of it. Doesnt matter for me anyway, bc i decided to skip the Switch 2. The prices are too high imo, even if they lower the software prices to €70/€75 and the line-up didnt impress me at all. Also stuff like chat behind a paywall, Switch 2 Edition versions physical which just are the Switch 1 games with a code for the patch incl., a paid tutorial demo, games no longer on the cartridge. Stuff like that doesnt make me want to buy a Switch 2, so i'll pass.
