Great show. There was only a game or two that I wasn’t interested in.
Nothing crazy, but it was a very solid showcase. Excited for FF 16, the dating sim rpg because why not, Spider man PC, Stray and RE4 remake especially. I'm tossing up between RE4 and Dead space remake to be my first horror game I ever beat, basically what ever comes 1st!
As a huge fan of horror games, this was an awesome SOP in my book. 😌
A decent State of Play.
Not a fan of horror, and one of those new games looked extremely gruesome (which probably means it looked amazing to others who are less wimpy than me).
FF16 looked spectacular - the detail on those summons was sublime. And I’m actually quite interested in Street Fighter 6 (is it just me or did they change the logo?)
Did you all notice that one of those PSVR2 titles has a 2022 release date?
This State of Play was on the level of some companies’ E3 presentations, if not better. Really knocked it out of the park. I could care less there was no God of War when we get SF6, FFXVI, Stray, Callisto Protocol, and Motordrome
Never thought I'll say this but Street fighter looked very good (Not a fan of fighting games) and Stray!!!!!
OMG I need it!!!!
Looks so good!
I thought that was an amazing state of play, was very happy to see a LOT of games I'm interested in, especially Final Fantasy XVI
@Deoxyr1bose a game like god of war deserves just more then a single trailer but a state of play dedicated towards it imo.
@OmegaStriver I think you missed something. I didn't see any 2022 dates on any PSVR2 title - there were things coming in 2022 with "PSVR2 in development."
If I'm wrong...that's awesome! Point me at the trailer I missed!
@paulbuck1996 That release date for Stray was leaked a few weeks ago, but it's nice to see it's official. And being on Plus Extra is nice...perhaps. I won't have Plus Extra at first, and will wait to see how they handle upgrades (and maybe downgrades, too) before I consider switching. So I may be waiting for a price announcement.
Until Sony announces Dark Cloud 3 I will thumb my nose at everything the company does!
@RobN @OmegaStriver Yup. The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners Retribution. 2022 PS5.

I'm glad that Guerrilla have fixed the shimmering issue on Performance mode in HFW. It looks beautiful.
Honestly I give this state of play a 9/10, better than any of last years E3 shows and will be hard to beat with Microsofts up coming show and summer games fest but we shall see.
Only two games I'm not interested in were indie games and I'm now hyped for psvr2 and eternights
Great presentation but I was hoping for something from Sega/Atlus (maybe I missed it). I hope Square gives us a bit more news on FF7R Part 2 because I’m getting more nervous it won’t be a 2023- early 2024 release. Also, Square get another Nier game going please 😎😎
@CWill97 As great as FF7R looks im already over it and this is from the biggest FF7 fan around. I dont want to wait untill PS6 or 7 to play a complete FF7 remake.
@paulbuck1996 I hope i dont have to go for Limited Run Games release. 🤪
Thanks for sharing a recap of everything announced! I shall be voicing my thoughts on how it was in another article.

Good way to start the game preview/trailer month.
Also Callisto Protocol is a day one buy, I am very excited.
This was actually a good SoP overall. I'm not a horror fan, so it was far too zombie heavy, but that's almost a Sony meme at this point. I remember complaining sony shows are all zombies like 7 years ago for e3 and it's still true, lol.
Stay 3 is life, can't wait for that one. SSFVI is huge, probably will buy on xb for various reasons, but hyped. Concerned about FFXIV. It looks like Witcher 3 relabeled as ff. Other than titans being in it, nothing seemed ff about it at all. Looks like a cool game, but doesn't look like ff. Kind of like xv. And how many decades will 7r take to fully release?
Overall though, it seemed pretty good. Stay day 1 to plus extra is interesting. The only such game though.
@UltimateOtaku91
Hell yeah! For Eternights.
@AhmadSumadi I'm with you! Too bad Level 5 is basically a mobile dev these days...
two games of interest for me resident evil 4 remake and callisto protocol
Great show, problem is there was not alot of games that are coming out this year. but next year is already looking to be one of the greatest years ever for videogames. my poor wallet XD
@TheKurgan @OmegaStriver - sadly not a shadow drop 2022 release date for PSVR2:
"The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is currently set to come to PSVR in late 2022 and PS VR2 in 2023."
https://blog.playstation.com/2022/06/02/the-walking-dead-saints-sinners-chapter-2-retribution-announced-for-ps-vr-and-ps-vr2/
Decent show, only caught up with it this morning, SF6 is the highlight for me but Callisto Protocol, Resi 4 and Tunic are all cool with me.
I was happy with it. I'm not a VR fan just because I personally can't use it, it causes me headaches and sickness but the games coming to the VR2 look epic and great fun. I'm very surprised that Stray is free day 1 if you have ps plus extra or premium, that was a great addition and it looks like a fun game to play. RE4 remake had me pumped, I can't wait for that and I hope they keep it very close to the original, I like the remakes that they have done so far so I'm looking forward to this. The Colisto project peaked my interest and I've made that a day 1 purchase for sure, my type of game. The one game that really got me curious was roller drome, I'm not sure that it's going to click tbh, I think it has potential to a certain extent but I don't believe that it's going to be the game everyone runs to play but I could be very wrong and it becomes a smash but I have my doubts. Overall though, I liked the state of play.
@Deoxyr1bose you mean you “couldn’t” care less?
Great to hear that Stray is launching day 1 on PS+ extra! This is the only tier I’m interested in so I can try out games like Returnal, so Stray is a huge bonus.
Having read the comments I realised that I am a minority, but To me this show sucked, and at this point I question my descision of having bought the PS5, and not wait for the pro version. The the only games that I was interested were a remake (RE4) FFXVI (hoping its good unlike FFXV that is mediocre at best) and Eternights (that I could play on my PS4). I miss the days when Sony gave us unique games like Patapon and Shadow of the colossus
@BobLong-RickTangle Oh bugger. Thanks for the link.
Looks like 2023 could be the year of the PS5. PS4 looks good for 2022.
A lot of coming next year stuff. Disappointing for me. A lot of horror and VR stuff. I’m surprised so many seem to have this as amazing really.
Loving the horror, not bothered about the VR stuff.
@AhmadSumadi
So look down on thousands of employees because some random company who owns the IP to an obscure franchise that hasnt been relevant since the PS2 days won't make a third game? Cant at all argue with that logic.
@PegasusActual93 I think no one responded to my comment the way you did because of how obvious it is that I’m not being serious. But, whatever…
@AhmadSumadi
This is the internet, nobody can tell whats genuinely crazy or a joke anymore.
@PegasusActual93 Fair enough… ✌🏾
