It’s been a lighter period for new releases, but as you’ll no doubt be aware, there’s tons and tons of titles to play across all PlayStation platforms. Here’s what’s keeping us busy.
Aaron Bayne
I'm a bit all over the place this weekend. I'll likely sink a bit more time into XDefiant, chip away at Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and maybe start my prep for The Final Shape in Destiny 2.
Liam Croft
I'm still playing around with Elden Ring. Even though I'm in the endgame with nothing really to do until the DLC comes out, it's great to just wander the open world and discover things I didn't see during my initial playthrough.
Robert Ramsey
It's been years since I played Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2, but I'll be giving the newly released PS5 version a proper go this weekend. From what I understand, the game's almost unrecognisable compared to the release version that I reviewed on PS4, so I'm hoping it grabs me all over again.
Sammy Barker
All I want to do is unlock Kermit the Frog in Disney Speedstorm.
Stephen Tailby
I recently hopped into Cat Quest thanks to PS Plus Extra, and I'm really enjoying it. It's charmed me with its simple gameplay and cartoonish style — a very chill game to play over a weekend.
That's a lot of variety from our team this week — but what are you playing? You know how this works by now: let us know in the comments section below.

I'm finishing my time at Sandrock after spending just over 100 hours near the end of the story.
I will move on to shin megami tensei 3 nocturnal hd remaster as I am off for a week.
Happy gaming everyone 😄
Think I’ll finish of the plat for Hubris, and play some Balatro in between.
I completed Princess Peach Showtime. What a ride.
Decorating the office this weekend so I won't be playing much! If I do it be good old Honkers!
Unfortunately I’m out of town and I don’t have my PS5 with me, so no Stellar Blade 😞. But I do have my Switch, and I have a game that has a character that is very very similar to Eve. That’s right, Princess Peach 😁. I’ll be playing Princess Peach Showtime on Switch.
Dragonball Xenoverse 2 for me too.. Haven't played it in years - so I was shocked to see just how much they added lmao. For veterans: Which DLC is an absolute must have to buy? There were so many options but they're all quite expensive if all bought together x_x I kinda want one or two and that's it haha.
Also some more Mass Effect 2 on the side!
Still working my way through P.o.P the lost crown.
I’ve also gone back to Elden Ring in anticipation of the DLC and started a magic build. I’ll prob play the dlc with my NG+ warrior but I’m having fun playing as a different type of character to my usual build.
after finishing Dark Souls 3 with my 4th character, I went back to Dark Souls 3 with my 1st character, NG+6. it was more like a boss rush mode. everything was fine until Gael. took me 3hrs to beat him 😅. GoodGame
It's Rise of the Ronin and WRC 10 for me this weekend. RotR has been quite enjoyable so far, the combat is great and it's packed with stuff to do. Hopefully it continues to be good as the story progresses. WRC 10 seems like an improvement on 9 too.
I wanted to start Rise of the Ronin, but have made a decision to start it when AC Shadows comes out. Yeah I know it's a pointless gesture that Ubisoft won't even notice. But it will make me smile.
I bought Kingdom Come Deliverance during the current PS Store sale. Enjoying the game a lot personally and can't wait for the sequel. Some aspects of it really remind me of Death Stranding, weirdly enough. Jesus Christ be Praised! (and Keep on Keepin' On!)
Had a hankering to play Doom 2016, pity there wasn’t a PS5 version though, the textures are pretty ropey compared to the PC version, but it’s still a blast. I want to find the last few bunnies in Animal Well too (what a game!). Have a great weekend folks!
Finished Stellar Blade mid week. For a game that wasn't on my radar until the demo hit it was amazing. It helped me through a very difficult few weeks.
Demos work.
Bought several games lately on back of demo's or trials including Dredge and outcast 2 and those are my games this weekend.
I'm gonna start my first playthrough of Blasphemous 2.
Will be playing Hellblade II on Series X and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door on Switch. Absolutely loving both games thus far. Hellblade is all about the experience, it's an extremely immersive game. Paper Mario is just pure bliss, everything about it makes me smile.
I'll be jumping between Fallout 4 and Kingdoms of Amalur don't know why i started both of these at the same time. I'll also play some XDefiant it's actually not as bad as i was expecting except the hit detection which is still pretty awful at times.
Hello everyone, I am about to finish Slime Rancher today. I also went back in time, took my PSP out and started Jeanne d'Arc, what a fantastic game. On top of all that I am playing bits and pieces of The Tenth Line.
Enjoy the weekend and the games you play.
G-Police and Dragon's Dogma II for me.
I'm surprised at how well I remember G-Police. I haven't played it in about 26 years.
A VR reboot for that series would be serious fun.
PS5: Stellar Blade Bossrush mode and 3rd run to collect every outfit. I cant wait! Game is so good and I keep coming back even though I already platted it.
Recently finished: Hellblade 2. Incredible game. Really enjoyed all aspects off it except Senuas slow ass walking. Took me about 7hrs to finish without a guide. Will go back for the rest of the collectibles. Another GOTY contender for me.
Sidenote. I now wish a new Xenoblade game would drop this year so that I'd have one new "blade" exclusive game across my consoles fighting over GOTY. lol.
Have a good weekend everybody.
I'll be wrapping up various faction endings in Fallout 4 for the PS5 platinum then I'm heading back to Nuka World to give all of those raiders some Commonwealth justice.
G police and immortals of avian flu on the 5 and fumbling around with emulators on a lappy top.
Putting aside Fallout 4 for now and restarted Ghost of Tsushima. Now that my action game combat skills are way better, I’m really enjoying it. Now that I’ve upgraded my katana a few times, Jin is a bad ass
Pretty busy week and some great weather here meant less gaming than usual but I still managed to play some 🙂
Hellblade 2 - Wow! Loved the first game, and this is better. The graphics and sound are simply amazing, and the overall experience 2-3 hours in is really great. Now, this game is not for everyone, just like the first one. Its a dark and grim walking sim for pretty long sections at a time so far, but damn its a good one!
Xdefiant - I said I would play a few games and I have. Its not bad, but not great either. Theres potential, and my son likes it more than me, but I feel likes theres some work to be done if Ubi wants players to stick around.
The Settlers - new allies - I played some of the tutorials and it looks the part but I didnt get that warm and cosy nostalgia I was hoping for. But it seems pretty good so I will play some more. Would be better with m&k of course but it was better than expected with a controller.
Feeling pretty poorly this weekend - however, I might try do a bit of Mass Effect LE later on 🙂
After a week off, following a family trip, I’ve been playing Stellar Blade again this past week. I passed the point of no return yesterday, so I’ll be finishing that off this weekend. It’s been a super fun ride and comfortably my favourite game of the year so far.
I will be continuing Paper Mario: 1000 year door on the switch and will dip my toes back in to Stellar blade to see what the new update is about and continue toward the platinum. Got myself street fighter 6 again after selling it out of frustration ages ago. Think i will buy my guy Akuma and start trying to learn some combos ready to dish out some pain (or have it dished out to me)
Just completed Deliver Us Mars so will probably jump back in for collectables and miscellaneous trophy stuff. Also made a start on Sea of Stars so likely to continue a bit with that.
Happy weekend gamers.
Currently on my break at work playing Odin Sphere Leifthrasir on my PSVita. Still working my way through Sand Land and playing Sea of Thieves co-op with my brother while I'm at home.
I'm debating getting myself a PS2. There's one on sale at the moment with quite a lot of games and I'm really tempted to pull the trigger. So I might own a PS2 by the end of the day!
Edit: Bought one!
I’ve put Fallout 4 to the side currently as I’ve been enjoying my time driving around the streets in Barcelona in Taxi life. It’s a little buggy and has crashed once or twice, but I kinda enjoy it. Very relaxing, unless you’re speeding and come across a police office and a speed camera and oh no that’s a parked car 😂.
Having a blast with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a criminally underrated game imo.
I’ve been playing Immortals of Aveum, so maybe finish that. I wasn’t sure before I started but I think it’s an excellent game, really enjoyed it.
AC Mirage, probably. But I saw a video of some unbelievably amazing parkour in AC Unity, and it made me wonder why they don't make it like that anymore 👀
so I might give that a try, as it looks way more freeform and I want to experience that for myself to see what it was like.
Just platinumed Animal Well, 2 weeks ago I hadn’t heard of it and now it’s currently my GOTY. Wonderful discovery-led twist on Metroidvania that I put in a similar bracket to games like Outer Wilds and Tunic. Like those games it won’t be for everyone, but for many it will rock. It’s on PS+ give it a try
I just started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 days ago so I’ll be playing that. I’ve never played it before and the only thing I knew about it going in was it’s a western game. Having a little trouble with the controls, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it
Im still playing the awsome kingdom come deliverance royal edition.im still playing the excellent yakuza like a dragon.im still playing the amazing dragon quest 11 definitive edition.im still playing the wonderful titanfall 2.and im still playing the incredible sekiro shadows die twice.im almost at the end.i will be watching my boston Celtics 💚🖤 🏀 play.i will be watching legendary sitcoms tv 📺 comedy shows in Sanford and son.good times.the Jeffersons.and saved by the bell.word up son
Wuthering Waves and Warframe
Currently I am half way through Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (included on PS+ Extra). The game is stealth-oriented with real-time tactics where you need to plot a path to reach an objective.
You will have to sneak past or kill the enemies without being seen.
Its surprisingly addictive.
God of war ghost of sparta on ps3
This weekend's gaming-allocated time is split between Ghost of Tsushima on PC, some Diablo 4 on the side, and helping my son when requested with his treks in Horizon Zero Dawn and Talos Principle 2 both on PS5.
Have a fun weekend everyone!
Doing my part to get the new Exo suit in HD2 in the hope it is decent and not a glass cannon! Really want to finish my play through of Trepang2 as well & a little matter of the the FA cup final too!
Happy gaming folks
I'll continue Stellar Blade and do a couple of rounds of the last of us 2 no return mode.
Red Matter 2 and Puzzling Places
I've been playing some Dark Souls 1. I'm dying quite a lot in it, but making progress. Also, I'm wanting to make a start on Hitman: Blood Money, and perhaps also find something more lighthearted to play as well.
Hello there fellow gamers.
For this weekend I´ll continue my AC Origins second playtrough, this time on my Series X with both DLCs to play around and online matches in Street Fighter 6 on my PS5, sice Akuma just droped and, surprise, he is very fun to play and very fun to fight against.
I love what Capcom did with Sirn Akuma Giant Attack Boss fight in the Battle Hub. The game needs more of this stuff.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Giving immortals of aveum a good playthrough now that the new patch for fsr 3 support dropped and I played through the intro stage again and that soft image is a thing of the past so I'm looking forwards to this. I will also be on hd2 this evening because I've left deadonfred alone spreading democracy for too long. Have a great weekend everybody 👍
This weekend I’m playing Dragon’s Dogma 2. I was looking for a game featuring a true sense of adventure and this game is scratching that itch. Boy, do I have a lot to say, but rather than a review, I want to talk about an experience — one of many.
Part 1
There was one quest that had me searching for a man that possibly got attacked by wolves. I needed to locate him and bring him home to his family. My companions and I scoured the village asking townsfolk if they had any idea where I could find him. Most people didn’t know, but a few uncertain responses gave me a general idea: East and glowing flowers.
Twenty minutes later, I’m at a large hillside with a graveyard. Nearby is a campsite, overlooking uneven rock bluffs. Not far away is a rope bridge, and I hear howls in the distance. And as fate would have it, this cemetery has moonglow flowers. I’m in the right place. We go across the creaky, inadequate bridge and get ambushed by a pack of wolves halfway through. I run for it, get to the other side, fight off the herd, and accidentally cut the rope to the bridge and watch one of my companions fall to his death, drowning in the water below. Oh well, this life isn’t easy.
I continue on and see a stranger in trouble with more wolves, and run to their aide. All of a sudden a humongous werewolf darted towards me, grabbed me with its massive claws and threw me. Flying through the air, I land on top of a cliff, barely clinging to life. I get up and look over the edge. This beast is now attacking the stranger and my remaining party. I drink a healing potion, take a few deep breaths, unsheathe my daggers, coating them with fire, position myself and jump off the cliff, landing directly on the werewolf’s back, using my daggers to keep my balance. After a gruesome battle, I felled the enemy, rescue the stranger and add her to my party, which was needed since I lost a companion moments ago.
Me and my ragtag group slowly make our way back to the campsite spotted earlier, our bones aching with each step. With the graveyard nearby, I pay my respects to my fallen comrade before going to my campsite, grilling some wolf meat and getting some much needed rest. And then it dawns on me. Moonglow flowers.
I rest until nightfall, and when I wake the entire graveyard is lit up to gorgeous blue flowers illuminating the area. As I head to take in the sights, the ground begins to shake underneath me. Decaying arms with mangled flesh start pulling themselves out of the loose terrain. Before I know it, I’m being surrounded by the undead, with a ghost doing all of the summoning. I hack and I slash and though I kill the already walking dead, their bones that are spread across the battlefield continue to meld back together. I swing more and more and discover that crushing the skull sends them to the afterlife for good. With his minions now dead, the leader, despite his magic, is no match for my blades and trusty archer. This ghastly leader crumbles and turns into ash. I rummage through the white coated glowing blue flowers and find his weapon; an archistaff. It just so happens this is a weapon that an armorer asked me to seek out to help him set up his shop and to sell more goods days prior.
Part 2
It had been a long night. My companions and I go back to the campsite and rest until morning. I never found the man attacked by wolves, but I could make a hard working man content. I gathered up my gear and made my way to a nearby oxcart that was thankfully heading to the main city — just where I was needed to go. I pay the man $200.00 for a ride, breathing easy as I sit on the hard-wooden seats and close my eyes. I don’t know how much time has passed, but we arrive safely back to the city, feeling refreshed. I turn in my newly located equipment, proud that I managed to complete my quest. It’s not the one I intended, but it’s still a victory.
While I’m in the main city, I decide to explore the town square. There are kids roaming around, and adults are setting up stalls, working hard to sell their wares to make an honest living. A man is standing by a water fountain trying to tell stories for a little coin. Life is good. And suddenly a distraught woman, Mildred, approaches me. She has a proposition. She wants me to house sit for her. Why she’s asking a complete stranger, I don’t know, but I agree. She says she’ll be gone for a week. I’m dwelling there, alone with my thoughts. My companions are out enjoying the weather. But something keeps nagging me. I missed something. I was in the right spot, I know I was. I keep tormenting myself.
Part 3
The week is only halfway through, but I abandoned my post. I gather my companions and head back to where our journey started. There’s no oxcart around, so we have to make the arduous journey on foot. Here we are again. The terrain is shaped differently. It looks familiar, but different. I’ve approached from the west rather than the east. Instead of being on top of the bluffs looking at the vast surroundings, I’m at the bottom, near a creek — the same creek my companion drowned in.
As I scour the area I see a large, dark intimidating hole that is clearly an entrance to something. I take a breath and step forward, making sure my lantern on my side is lit and full of oil, as dusk is beginning to set. I step inside, unknowing what awaits. And then I hear it. It sounds so far away, but so close at the same time. I can hear it in the walls, coming at me like a wave. Howls, echoing throughout the cave. Deep down, I know this is it. There’s no turning back. My blades are fully sharpened, my archer’s arrows are already notched. Our footsteps are echoing just as much as the howls, and the sound of shuffling begins. We can’t make out faces, but we know. Blades and arrows ready, we brace ourselves. An arrow rapidly flies by my head as I lock my knees, and have my feet firmly planted to the rocky ground. Everything becomes hazy, as all I notice is large shadows engulfing the barely lit walls, and soon the sound of howls come to a deafening end.
We are alive, somehow. The cave becomes eerily quiet and we press on, making our way through the twisted labyrinth. And there it is. Bones, and a pile of tattered clothes. I immediately know; I was too late. It was the man I had been searching for all this time. I pack up his remains and traverse to the other end of the cave. In the near distance I make out a faint blue brightness. Moonglow flowers. My pace hastens as I rush out of the cavern, back to the beautiful blue graveyard. I was there the whole time. I was too late, but here I was, quest complete, but not how I intended. I can see the sun slowly creeping over the mountain top. East. I tell myself everything is okay. I say a long prayer, put the lost man to rest at the graveyard for the second time, looking to the horizon. It’s a new day.
This is why I play video games.
Having a break from the second to last boss of blasphemous 2, as he is quite tough!! Only a couple of attempts at each boss before this, but this one has stopped my progress completely. So a bit of star wars Jedi survivor and Dave the diver I think. I also have six eggs left to find in animal well so will have another look around for them.Have a great weekend everyone!
Might start thinking about a new Elden Ring run for the DLC, or go back to that claws-only Dark Souls 3 playthrough I was going to start. I want to check out Animal Well too. I've not properly played anything from start to finish since I completed Humanity last summer. It's time to get stuck back into some gaming again
Since it’s Bank Holiday on Monday I’ll have the day off work so it’s a slightly longer weekend.
Hoping to get a bit of tidying done round my bedroom, start building up another Lego set, read a couple of Manga books and graphic novels.
For gaming wise though.
PS5:
P3 Reload
FFVII Remake Rebirth
Star Ocean Second Story R
Hi Fi Rush
MGS2
Cult of the Lamb
PS4:
ESO
Tunic
Dark Cloud
Dragon’s Dogma
AC2
Mass Effect
Days Gone
Demons Souls Only 2 Trophies Away From Platinum
Stellar Blade Platinum is close!
Animal Well also has its hooks in me right now. So I’ll cycle between that and Rise of the Ronin, which I’m really enjoying. The gameplay is what makes it. Not as strong as Nioh or Wo Long, but more relaxed in it’s opening hours.
Same ole soup, just warmed up for me: playing Rebirth and maybe a dash of Foamstars if I have time. There really are too many mini games in Rebirth.
Was hoping to maybe do alittle Coop in Salt and Sacrifice with a friend but that seems unlikely.
Have a good folks!
Indika and slowly getting back into Elden Ring to reacquaint myself with it for Erdtree. Outside that, just Banishers sits in the backlog now. I can finish this backlog before Erdtree!
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Yep, still going...
On Steamdeck - currently just wrapped my NG playthrough on Elden Ring, ready for DLC incoming Got a dual Bloodhound Fang quality build all set, capping at level 160, and got 100% achievements. This was my second playthrough (first was PS5 on launch) and I pretty much steamrolled it in 55hrs.... 'eyes on the prize'. Can't wait for Erdtree
Having a cleanse now and playing "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" (classic Lucasarts adventure game), then moving on to Hades 2!
Starting to feel a little burnt out now on Stellar Blade, so have decided to ignore side quests and concentrate on the main story. Have just been effectively given the “point of no return” notification so I guess I’m on the home straight. Also dusted off my Switch this week so I can play Paper Mario TTYD which is great fun so far.
I'm close to hitting 100 in Diablo 4 and I have been having a surprisingly decent time with Xdefiant (boy, do I loathe that name). Probably sink time into both.

Still playing Stellar Blade
Finished Final Fantasy VIII during the week. What a trip down memory lane.
So far, 20 minutes here and there of RE4R, third run I think. My backlog is enormous. I'll sample a few of what I have, maybe check out Scarlett Nexus, Yakuza 0, and Like a Dragon. Might try to dive back in to Reverie or DQXI. We'll see how it shakes out.
Just finished the Stellar Blade platinum yesterday and really enjoyed it. Going to finish up a few smaller games before diving into Cyberpunk 2077 so I think I will try to 100% Dave the Diver this weekend! So far it’s a super fun game with a really addictive gameplay loop.
@Ravix AC: Unity is extremely underrated imo. I’d love a sequel to it.
I m playing wild hearts with friends, actualy in chapter 4. I missing yakuza so much and be thinking in give a chance to first of the north star.
I finished FF7 Rebirth’s main story, now onto clearing the remaining side quests and I’ll try to get as far as possible with those VR missions. I don’t really know for how much longer I’ll carry on: I don’t feel burned out, and I do love the game, but I’ve already logged over 130 hours and it sounds like getting the platinum involves a mostly unnecessary and torturous slog 😨 … dunno, we’ll see!
I am playing persona 3 remake. And when I get a chance, I'll hop on infinite wealth to get Ichiban up to level 70. It's the only 🏆🎖️ I have left to get.
Final Fantasy XVI - Got the platinum trophy yesterday. Starting the Echoes of the Fallen DLC this weekend.
Cat Quest - Downloaded this recently on PS Plus. Have only played for about an hour. Pretty fun game so far.
Tears of the Kingdom - About 25 shrines left to find mostly in the Sky. Seeing what random Side Quets/Adventures I may stumble upon in Hyrule too.
I finished the main story in Skyrim and now I am starting Dawnguard. I have played it before but only once and now I have craving for beating Bethesda games!
I will also start Oblivion. I have never played more than an hour of the game so it will be exciting!
And for chilling I will play Symphony of the Night and Link Between Worlds
Happy gaming everyone!
XDefiant (Series X) Really enjoying this game. It captures the feel of an old school CoD really well. It feels so good to have a good FPS game again. With the Double Weapon XP weekend going on I will be grinding out some guns.
World of Warcraft (PC) Still grinding out MoP Remix. I am loving it still and enjoying my Troll Paladin.
Plated Spider-Man 2 last week, great game but until venom turned up it was pretty samey tbf. Just started plagues tail requiem. Enjoyed the first but stalled on playing the 2nd, but got a big recommendation from a mate so giving it a proper go tonight
Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8.
Infamous First Light & Animal Well😁 Maybe some Advanced Warfare for a long overdue platinum.
Need for Speed: Carbon
A game I had my eye on for a long time finally dipped below $20 so I picked it up. That game? Quantum Error. This weekend I’ll be playing that a bit and thus far I’m happy I didn’t spend more than $20 on it. The game has its moments and a few good ideas but overall it’s a janky, buggy, PS3-looking mess with some crashes to boot. Really can’t recommend it, unfortunately. 🤷🏽
I've been in a bit of a tycoon addiction phase on my pc for a while and didn't have the urge to pick up my ps5, I gave fc 24 ago and realised it was just more fifa still the same so went back to playing Manor Lords on pc.
But then I was watching YouTube and a video popped up about death stranding 2 and I watched the trailers and got hyped.
So decided to truly give death stranding a try, it never grabbed me how ever hard I tried when it came out, id even bought the limited edition console at the time.
So mid week I sat down put the ps5 version on and knuckled down and got passed the boring start and low and behold im actually enjoying and quite gripped by the game so im playing that.
Just reminded me that sometimes games no matter how good they are, it can come down to the right time and the right place in your life for that particular game.
Definitely playing some more XDefiant as I’m loving the old school CoD feel of the gameplay and maps. The yakuza series still has me hooked so more of Kiwami 2 and 7 are definitely on the docket for the Portal this weekend.
I'm still plugging away at Helldivers 2. So near yet so far from the plat. Also playing through Dave the Diver. Basically anything with diving I'm in for it.
Given that I've been in hospital since Thursday for emergency CT and, subsequently, bronchoscopy, I'm mostly playing fallout shelter on my phone and watching the series on prime as well as making music on my tablet and being constantly interrupted by people with needles and slightly disappointing cups of tea.
Completed one 2023 backlog - Plague Requiem - really good on the PS5 and a older backlog StarCraft 2 Heart of Swarm - this one is really great.
Onwards to last episode of StarCraft 2 .
Garden of the Sea
It's a VR game that's a mix of farming sim and puzzle adventure that was a pretty good, relaxing time. Played it on PCVR but its available for PSVR2 as well.
Amanda The Adventurer
Horror game where you watch an increasingly creepy kids show on VHS in an attic, and attempt to solve puzzles linked to the videos. A short (2 hours) but fun time.
My second Fallout 4 weekend. I am just no hurry cruising at this point, level 29, and I have yet to visit Fog Harbor and Nuka World.
My Sanctuary settlement is at 20 people and 2 dogs. All the shops created, a nice pub built, eight 40 gallon water purifiers, and machine guns and missile turrets for defense.
Like my previous plays of FO4 I wish my settlers looked better. At least they could wash their faces after being rescued. I may give some settler mods a try.
Ive finally called foul on FF rebirth! Having to do the chocobbo gold cup in the saucer to progress the story is the last straw for me, so despite having had over 100 hours in the game, Ive uninstalled the game this morning and wont be back. Shame.
Im going to get into Avatar now and see if I can clear some of my backlog!
Whatever you are playing, have a great weekend - and bank holiday for my uk bros 😊
Still playing Animal Well. The sense of discovery when you figure something out is so rewarding. Better than most any AAA title from this year. Oh, and I bought Indika from the PS Store.
I beat Hellblade 2 Friday night, that’s likely my only game time this weekend since the family and I went up to Maine for the weekend.
@Titntin it’s such a shame. I wanted to love that game so badly, but just couldn’t. Every time I started to really enjoy myself they threw a forced mini-game at me. The GS Chocobo race was one of the least egregious of the mini-games, that was far better than having to play Rocket League as Red XIII to get coupons for clothes. I’ll go back to it eventually but I needed a break, I just wasn’t enjoying myself.
Alrighty here we go with another wonderful edition of WAYP. Yet again from the beautiful Ocracoke Island of the Outer Banks. Been a great first week of vacation with loads of excellent beach days and some excellent gaming. Got super sunburned already hahaha. Was able to beat Another Code and Princess Peach Showtime. As well as starting Endless Ocean and Little Kitty and let me tell you all of those games are highly recommended and absolutely excellent. Of course outside of the beach the highlight of this week has to have been King and Queen of the Ring. Absolutely excellent PLE and hey who wouldn’t like to see Logan Paul get his butt kicked cheater that he is. Big congrats to Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan and Randy Orten and Lyra Valkyria on this one they did excellent. As for the rest of the weekend I beat Trails Into Reverie last night and I’m thinking of doing the little post game tonight and getting the connecting line between it and Daybreak. And probably some Persona 3 Reload. As for the rest of the week I’m thinking of keeping it nice and simple. Start Paper Mario and Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life on Switch and Sand Land on PS5. And otherwise just beat things like Side Order for Splatoon 3 and reinstall and work on games like Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth and Rise of The Ronin. Stellar Blade too I’m absolutely loving it. In terms of anime this weel ima keep it nice and simple and give love to Kaiju No.8, Demon Slayer, Urusei Yatsura, Delicious In Dungeon, and Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio. All simply excellent. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Last Stand Media, Easy Allies, Fire Escape and Second Wind. Definitely think I’m gonna try to knock out the like 8 hour long GOTY episodes of Into The Aether, Tetracast, and Fire Escape. And of course we wouldn’t be quite done without a special shoutout to my dear awesome friend over at twitch.tv/akibread and their awesome streams. As always yall stay safe and be good to each other. Have a awesome weekend and of course Happy Gaming.
Replaying Yakuza: Like A Dragon. I was itching so bad to replay Infinite Wealth. But I want to get the PS4 platinum of it (already got the PS5 platinum) a year or two later. There may not be another game out for a bit in the franchise so I want to hold off on a 2nd playthrough until news is announced
Happy weekend everyone!
Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which has fun gameplay, creative level designs, great visuals and music, and a not-so-easy platinum trophy.
@OptimusPrime1 A very underrated and under apprereciated gem. It's very creative and loads of fun. Mixes things up and the level's that open up after finishing the game are a real challenge
Out of town with the family and brought along the Vita. Finally started Xenogears after all these years and after 10 hours I'm enjoying my time very much.
@Kraven
Cheers for that - I was never going to get DD2 but after that I’m going to at some point.
@rusty82 Indeed. And those final levels and especially trial 16 really test the player's patience and perseverance.
