The Diablo 4 open beta kicks off this week ahead of the game’s 6th June release. With an 11 year gap between it and its predecessor Diablo 3, the hype for the return of this classic ARPG series is at an all time high.
However, these can be dense games, with character classes and builds, loot upon loot, and an enormity of hellish creatures to slay. So after digging our noses into all the info we could get our hands on with this upcoming release from Blizzard, we’ve whittled it down to 36 facts that you need to know about Diablo 4.
You can head over to the Push Square YouTube channel to check out that video, and while you’re there, why not give the video a like and subscribe to the channel? We’re incredibly hyped for Diablo 4 here at Push Square, so you can expect plenty more video coverage up to and after release.
Will you be checking out the open beta this weekend? Let us know down in the comments.

Will watch this while I’m in queue to login later…. And probably several other long videos.
36? Who has time to read 36 reasons? I'd be alright with 10 maybe 12 but 36? This ain't no shaolin chambers
To be honest I need just one fact - it is Diablo. That's it.
150 minute wait time to log in - no thanks! I’ll try again a couple more times over the weekend but I won’t be killing myself for it 😂
I really hope logging in at launch is problem fee after I’ve spent £60 on it. It inevitably won’t be, though. They should really do a beta or something to make sure everything is smooth for launch.
@kyleforrester87 I wouldn't count on it to be honest. It has an open world like Destiny now where you see other players in the cities and maps. The lag in the major town for act 1 is absolutely bonkers.
@Athrum such a shame, it’s the rare kind of game I’d like to book a day off for or at least plan to have a great evening playing but I think it’s just best all round not to get too excited about launch day and expect the worst.
From memory, they did get the Destiny 2 launch right though so 🤞🏻
@Athrum to be honest I never saw a single lag in town during the closed beta the week before. But today is really harsh: disconnected twice already after playing for ~20 and ~3 minutes. Though Blizzard told us that this time queues gonna be big.
@morogan112 when you're stuck in queue... you'd be happy with 36 long reasons
Diablo IV lost tons of hype in playbook due to the broken beta. Once I logged into the queue Friday night, I was never able to play it. Sorry, but if Blizzard can't get their servers act straight, I will cancel my preorder.
waited about 30 minutes right after servers went up and had about four and half hour session before server kicked me.
Played Rogue.
1. With all worries in mind I must conclude that it is still Diablo!
2. My feel was like I'm playing D2 in D3 coat.
3. Menus/Inventory/Skills is one HUGE chaos!
4. Some bugs occured (of course expected)
5. It is fun.
Pressing the home button puts the game at 2 fps
@djlard agree with you on all points. Menus are a bit all over the show but think they have enough time to tinker with it.
@NojahZA Today I tried Necromancer and he seems to me bit overpowered.
So its always online? Why does the future take away options instead of adding them I will never understand. It looks gorgeous but this game will also be ripped of the platform like COD eventually so i wont be starting on it anyways.
@djlard I've played the Necro and most definitely OP. Think they'll work on the balancing after feedback? I'll try the sorcerer today. Have fun dude!
@NojahZA I've tried Sorcerer also and he seems... weird. Not bad, but bit slow and some combos doesn't work always.
