Topic: Fixing loud ps4 pro fan noise noise

I didnt see any forum topics about this so i started one. I ordered all the stuff i need to fix my pro(i hope). Anyone know of some good video walkthroughs for installing new fan, thermal paste, and thermal pads?

@kyleforrester87 my ps4 is dead. I am buying a new one.😔

I would just get a ps5 but of course i cant find one. Im actually having a hard time finding a ps4 pro for a decent price.

@ellsworth004 damn that really sucks. Sit tight until you can get a PS5, surely there will be some stock in the next 4-6 weeks?!

@ellsworth004 I believe PS4 Pros have been discontinued. If any stores are selling them they are just selling whatever stock the have left. I had a launch model PS4 that I just replaced with the slim cause I couldn't find a PS4 Pro anywhere till the PS5 becomes more readily available.

@Tasuki yeah i believe u are right. I think i read that somewhere, and the only ones ive een online are either refurbished or crazy expensive. Im just gonna wait til i can get a ps5.

@ellsworth004 Yeah even my local Walmart just fills the space they had for the PS4 Pro with other merchandise last week it was full of overstock Cold War for PS5. I think only the slim PS4 is being produced.

@Tasuki i found a few ps pros online and they were $650+. More than a ps5, ridiculous.

@ellsworth004 Right which sadly to say will probably be normal due to the fact they don't make them anymore. You could try GameStop and see if they have any used ones but that's about all you are going to find.

@Tasuki do u have any idea if u can use a ps4 pro disc drive in a regular ps4. I got a old ps4 and cleaned it up, replaced the thermal paste and thermal pads and it works perfectly now. Except the disc drive doesnt work.
