Just venting about how annoying it is that ps stars is not working for anyone right now. Right in the middle of days of play. What a mess. They should give us some bonus points or a free game as compensation.

Anyone got there's working? And have been able to complete any campaigns or redeem points?

@Johnny_Ace was looking to post this topic as I'd just noticed it.

Looked into it and some people are being told it will be back soon, but some people are being told they don't have an account 🤦‍♂️

Obviously that is the problem though, when I clicked my stars it says to sign up...

Glad I always collect my points on every £5 payout as saving them has no benefits for the conversion rate stays the same. But it will be annoying for people who are buying games during days of play and getting no rewards 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Yeah, I wasn't sure what was up with it. I checked my PS App and all mention of Stars was gone, and then I checked the UK site for PlayStation Stars and it just says that the program isn't available in the UK.

I'm presuming it's just offline and they aren't region restricting or winding it down...

Offline for me too, here in the States. So it’s more than a regional thing.

Perhaps there’s some kind of new features to the program that they are rolling out? I’ve not been a huge fan of it from day 1, other than the fact it’s totally free. But I was hoping for something that resulted in more rewards for trophys and for playing older games. As it is now, it’s clearly an incentive for buying from the digital store and for engaging in new releases and some of the less popular titles.

I just logged into the app and the Stars part has completely disappeared from the app. There is nothing to click on at all.
Something really gone wrong with it.

It would happen during Days of Play too right 🤣

My big number 4 was back on the app, so I clicked it...

"Something went wrong"

And now there is an empty space on the home page of the app and clicking where it was just takes you to "my profile" like when you click your picture/name

Very, very strange. I only cashed out a few days ago when I resubbed to plus. (Checked my wallet and they haven't stolen the funds back, so that's a positive haha)

Do we think they tried integrating it with the PS5 console for Days of Play and f***ed it all up and had to completely start again? 😅😅

Crazy thing is I'm still getting emails from playstation telling me to go to the playstation app and complete the stars campaigns. It's like Sony aren't even acknowledging that it's down.

Well I’ll be… I finally got a notification from Sony that “PlayStation Stars is currently experiencing issues.” 😅

@Th3solution they were too busy watching Xbox and Ubisoft make gaming feel exciting again to notice 😅

@colonelkilgore I've just received an email from them about the new features they will shortly be introduced for my child's account. Last time I checked, I don't have one and never have!

Can't be bothered to make a new topic, but I'm sure the writers here will make an article in a week or two 'winkyface'
Got an email about PS Stars changing. The main thing is as follows

"The definition of “Eligible Purchases” will be updated to exclude all subscription payments made on PlayStation Store (including any initial or renewal subscription payments for PlayStation Plus or any other subscription service), which means that Points will no longer be earned on subscription payments."

So, directly paying SIE a chunk of money for PSN subscriptions isn't worth a little PS stars reward, from whenever the date this takes effect.

Seems a little bit mean to introduce it and then take it away from the things people pay a good bit of money for. Will it affect me, not really. But it will affect my PS stars rewards, which were a feel good bonus for pumping thousands of pounds into the PS 'ecosystem' over the years 😅

Biggest new change I saw for me would be that points now expire. So the 4,000+ I somehow earned initially will be gone soon. Maybe it's not that big of a deal since it's been a long time since I've earned any points since I don't buy all of my games digitally and play whatever I want to play instead of what it tells me to.

"Effective October 24, 2024:

● New Points earned will expire at the end of the month plus 12 months from the date on which they appear in your PlayStation Stars account balance. Points earned prior to October 24, 2024 will continue to expire at the end of the month plus 24 months from the date on which they appear in your PlayStation Stars account balance."

@KilloWertz cash in your points for vouchers and then it's in your wallet. No reason to hoard any points as the value is the same whatever you cash them in for. £5, £20 sa.e exact conversion rate.

It's worded weirdly, but they only expire after ~13 months, instead of the ~25 months currently. But again, no reason to not just cash them in anyway.

@Ravix I made the mistake of not cashing in my points, and then was FUBAR when I went to do it against Shadow of the Erdtree. I had planned to that for awhile, so a bummer it crashed when it did.
