I wanted to buy the game "World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing", but i could not find it from my Playstation store ( I live in Finland).
I asked the publisher why the game is not available in my country and i got this answer:
"We are very sorry but unfortunately, due to PlayStation Store requirements, the game is not available on PS4 or PS5 in Finland."
Can somebody explain what they mean by those requirements? I tried to google the answer, but i could not find a satisfying answer why some games are not available in certain countries.
@JussiFinn The game is available here in the UK for PS4 & PS5 (physical & digital).
As for the requirements it could be for any number of reasons. I doubt it’s the actual content, so imagine the publisher just didn’t get it rated for your country (cost saving measures) & focused on its largest markets.
China is the only country that has a ‘curated’ PS Store I believe, with its own requirements.
A game being available in one country & not in another usually means it didn’t get rated or was denied a rating (ex. Australia banning Hotline Miami 2).
Unless you have a digital PS5 you could import?

Strange thing is that the game seems to available as a digital version in Iceland which is even smaller market than Finland.
I guess that i could buy the disc version form the Usa. It would cost me about 45 USD. I have understood that the PS4 games are not region locked, so i would be able to play it. I just would not be able to buy any DLC.
