I'm not sure if this is the right thread... I would like to find the location of my avatar pic, I've looked in my profile and don't see the file name or location, could someone please point me in the right direction?
@antdickens Whilst I still prefer the older layout, I would feel 'warmer' to this if we had a page for regular visitors - even just adding in the latest forum comments (as per the home page) at the top right of the 'latest' news page would be fantastic and so helpful. Having both of these at the top would be of great benefit rather than have to be constantly scrolling up and down trough content we have already seen.
As stated, the 'old' news page was great for regular visitors as it had all the latest news articles in chronological order, the new forum comments and the last 10 (or so) reviews too. This made it perfect for regular visitors to quickly see if any 'new' content had been added in all the main areas without having to scroll so much.
I understand that the Home page is designed to show off a lot of the content for those that may visit once a week or even newbies but for me (and I assume a lot of others), a lot of repetition and 'old' content that they have already seen and read.
In an ideal world, maybe members could customise their 'Home' page to a degree. Like change the placement of content or even hide certain content - like 'most popular' for example as they have no doubt already read the articles. However I doubt that can be easily implemented so having a page with all the latest news, reviews and forum posts only would be great.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
@BAMozzy yep, I think you've mentioned both of these before (if not, someone else has).
I want to get a new page together that is purely designed for the power users that sit on the site all day, maybe more of a timeline approach so you can see what's new all in one place.
We also want to introduce the ability to customise the homepage too, or at least re-order the elements to suit your usage.
As a (very) quick fix I've added the forums at the top of the sidebar on the /news page.
@antdickens As a quick fix, that is absolutely perfect from my point of view. Thank you very much as it keeps both the latest news and latest forum information at the very top of the page and for someone like me who literally sits on the site all day (LOL) at least the Tab is open almost all day, its great so once again thank you
Personally, I would only organise the Home page in pretty much the way the 'News' page is now. Latest news/reviews on the left as a main block with the latest forum comments on the right as a 'sidebar'.
I know I have mentioned this before - more than once I know but I hope you take the previous message as a 'reminder' rather than a 'nag' because it hadn't yet been addressed. Now that it has, I won't mention it again. I will of course look forward to any new additional features, like a 'customisable' home page but for now at least, this solution is great.
Once again thank-you very much.

@kyleforrester87 okay, that change to the topic listing should now be done. On mobile it will now display the last poster, along with the number of replies and views. Not really enough space to show how long ago the last post was though... I assume knowing who it was is more useful
@BAMozzy hey again, just to let you know that we've now added a timeline view on the site, you can access it from the home/news pages and will display all content, the same way, in chronological order.
@antdickens Looks good to me - just what I want as a regular and only need to scroll down as far as the 'last' article/review I saw - which often isn't more than 1 or 2 articles. I can also see all the latest Forum' comments too. I would prefer the 24hr clock but that's just nit-picking.
From my perspective, this is perfect for keeping up to date with all the latest info for those who are regular visitors.
Thank you.
EDIT: Would be nice to have a quick button at the top - Between News and Reviews perhaps...
@antdickens I meant having a quick button at the top - Like News, Reviews, Video's etc. Its maybe not essential as I have bookmarked the 'timeline' address anyway but would be nice to have a quick button at the top like the other main features. It would be easier navigation when you are in a different area.
For example, if I am in the Forums, I can quickly jump straight to the Timeline rather than find my Bookmark - just like jumping to the news area or reviews.

@get2sammyb I stopped reading here a few months back due to various reasons, mainly how uncivilised some users were but I decided to give you guys a go again. Obviously the site redesign is a big change for me and I like the mobile view better than the desktop however there is an issue so th adverts!!
One post I could enable comments as everytime I pressed a YouTube advert popped open and the same happened on the front page earlier.
Not sure if anyone is having the same issues or its just me :/
