Not PSVR related, but VR nonetheless, so it may be of interest to some here, and that is that Nintendo just announced VR support for Super Mario Odyssey & Breath of the Wild (for their new LABO VR kit). Odyssey is getting limited support, while BotW is getting full support.
Not sure exactly how it'll work since there's no way Switch can provide the same kind of experience as PSVR, but even if it's just a stereoscopic 3D effect (strapped to your face to shut out everything else), it could be cool.

@RR529 It won't replicate psvr / oculus / vive at all well.
There needs to be a point of reference via a camera or similar. The big difference with the shunted VR systems is they don't have in and out movement and that is a killer for immersion.
The second problem is they do not make people VR believers. It's such a bare bones version of VR it's literally a fad product.

@themcnoisy, I definitely agree and see it ending up more like a 3DS type experience (just on your face), at least with BotW (and even that could still be cool, even if not actual VR).
As for Odyssey, given that it's support is limited to a few select new challenges, I'm willing to bet they've been built for the experience in mind (just like the minigames that come with the kit, which apparently work suprisingly well, based on hands on impressions), so they may have some gyro camera control.

Nintendont are just trying to jump on a bandwagon unfortunately it doesnt have blast processing so im out
In all seriousness it just looks like they are being gimicky the switch has all but got the handheld market sewed up I see no logical reason to go into something like VR with a very average powered machine like the switch.
I bought Tiny Tracks a few days ago. Is it any good?

@themcnoisy, I've actually really enjoyed the hour or so of it I've played so far, but I luckily I haven't experienced any motion sickness yet, so that may be a large part of it.
I loved the opening sequence where you were in the little craft flying around the space station, and while they could have picked something a bit more visually appealing than a mostly desert locale (so far), I've really enjoyed looking down into the immense craters & canyons at the edge of the path, and no matter how much I try, I can't keep myself from jumping every time one of those smaller spiders lunges at my face, lol. I also really like the little touch where the red reticule comes into view when you line up your gun sight with your vision correctly.

@Zukato, I'd say once a week would be good, and even then only if you're using it everyday. Maybe more often if other people use it. There's only been one time since I got mine last month where I went long enough between cleanings to notice a smudge.
BTW, looking at your avatar I'm suprised they haven't came out with a Ghost in the Shell VR game yet, as it would seem like a perfect fit (upon looking through the PS Store it looks like the only anime to get the VR treatment so far is One Piece of all things...).
@Zukato everytime I use it. You need to clean it with the microfiber cloth. Even the slightest smudge can ruin your experience.

@RR529@themcnoisy How about glasses, using them while on it? Seeing as they could affect the amount smudginess too. Also, Ghost in The Shell VR sounds pretty dope. Experience a Tachikoma in an all-new way!
@Zukato I wear glasses every day now but don't need glasses to see close distances so psvr Is cool for me.

I should be about finished with Farpoint soon, as I think I only have one mission left. I will say playing a FPS in VR ups the tension 10 fold (everytime an enemy fires rockets at me, especially the ones that fly in an arc, I tensly hide behind cover and look up, wondering if it's going to be tall and thick enough for me to avoid taking damage).

Today I've played Headmaster, Gunjack and Tiny Tracks.
Good little games and I only spent £15 altogether on that selection over 2 psn sales.
Tiny Tracks is a solid slot car racer with some imaginative use of perspective and nice graphics. I will be going back to this.
Headmaster is great, however I would recommend just having a go of the demo the full phat version gets monotonous quickly as the collision detection seems a fraction off. It becomes frustrating rather than the initial wow of the ball flying at you.
Gunjack cost me £2, what a bargain. Its an okay static shooter, pretty obvious what you need to do - shoot everything. I wouldn't recommend this one for anything over a fiver - but for only £2 in the current sale its worth buying.

I've been playing Table of Tales: Crooked Crown on PSVR lately and it's something very different to the usual on rails shooters and platforming games you usually get in VR. It's a turn based strategy game that is heavily story focused. It's a lengthy game too and the story has branching paths and stays interesting all the way through. I highly recommend it!
