Folklore (2007) pre-trophy era game lol, though I don't care about trophies anyway.
It's amazing, set in Ireland and based on the folklore (well duh, title says it all). Elements of Pokemon.
Ir was my 1st PS3 game and still have it in my possession today. Even 14 years later (soon to be 15) compared to PS4/PS5 it's visuals are still bloody impressive and I recommend giving it a go if you can find a copy.
Majin and the Forskaen Kingdom - A wonderful adventure title!
Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed - Overlooked by MarioKart 8 but I enjoyed it more.
FUSE - I don't get the hate on this game, a great online co-op 3rd persion shooter.
Remember Me - Sometimes the mandatory combo system was fiddly but compelling story and great art direction.
Siren Blood Curse - Tense episodic horror game
Tekken Hybrid - Often forgotten but you can play Tekken Tag 1 in HD!
Yakuza Dead Souls - Not as bad as everyone says once you get used to the controls.
@Sternhammer Heavenly Sword was one of my favorite games on the PS3. I got my PS3 in the middle of the generation (the MGS4 bundle), so that was I believe the second game I played on it (MGS4 being first naturally). I loved it back then. Not sure how it holds up today, but hopefully well.

@Sternhammer I'm not sure I'll ever have the time to replay it even though I still own it, but it's good to know that it holds up reasonably well still roughly 15 years later.

So I can really recommend the Medal of Honor game from Dice as a good game and hidden gem for PS3. I think also think the sequel, Medal of Honor Warfighter as a hidden PS3 gem.
Beside the Medal of Honor and the Darkness games I can also recommend Max Payne 3 from Rockstar as a reailly good game to play on the PS3. A super good shooter that takes place in several intresting settings.
