Simple question.  Is it worth playing when the HD version is out in September?  I have always wanted to try this series but never got around it to it.  I am trying not to spend any omeny on games until the release of the PS4.  So how long would it take to complete KH1.  I am asking because I might rent it

Kh1 is great (although I like 2 a lot more). It's been a while since I played it - I know it's at least 25 hours. If you try to get everything including the secret bosses (plus what's thrown in for the final mix), you're looking at 40-50 hours probably.

Would it be best to play the 1.5 HD Remix first or try the PSP game (which I own but never got around too)

EDIT:  I think I will play the PSP game first & maybe pick the HD Remix up around Xmas time.  Either way it looks like it is going to be worth the money (that is if you like the series of course)

Having played both, I would personally recommend KH1 to introduce you to the series.  Much better starting point (story-wise and mechanics wise), even though Birth by Sleep is a prequel.  I think with Birth by Sleep it is better to understand some basics of KH first to enjoy the game.

Mod: Enough of that, thanks.

That was pretty much uncalled for because I didn't down BBS. Zed, I just really think its a better idea to start with KH1. If you want to discuss more why or ask questions, then I'll add more.

@Sanquine Calm down dear, its a commercial lol Ive not been on PushSquare all weekend so I guess Ive missed something here. Looks to be have deleted posts so Ill never know :/

So theres a Kingdom Hearts HD remaster coming? I honestly didnt know with the FFX remaster being done thats all Ive had an interest for from Square lately. I skipped the series on Ps2 n only tried the PsP prequel so I best give it a go when its released. Deos it have a confirmed release date yet? Ive heard nothing for the EU

@manc I'm not sure when it comes out in the uk, but the us release date is actually September 10th. You should definitely give them a go. It comes with kh1 (the international version, like ffx), a game boy advance card game spinoff called chain of memories, and cutscenes from a ds game. Kh2, my current favorite of the series, is going to come out in a separate hd release.

Ive just had a look online n the release date appears to be the 13th for the UK/EU. There was nothing in the article about whether it was retail or digital only tho :/ Ill pick it up if theres a retail release here. Im more skeptical when it comes to digital only titles. Then again I could just import. Looks like KH2 is to be done for spring next year apparently.

Oh cool. I hadn't heard anything about a date for 2.5 remix. That one is supposed to have the psp game too.

At least in the US, there is a retail release. Just preordered mine Sunday for the art book!
