Joel/Tommy prequel adventure Joel/Tess prequel adventure Bill post game adventure *The Story of Ish* (i needs this!) Absolutely NO NO NO DLC to follow up on the ending
Okay, so I'm thinking of picking up the last of us - not exactly sure when. I usually like to play games on hard mode, but I haven't played quite as many stealth-ish games. How would you guys compare the difficulty of the last of us (on hard) to:
Bio shock 1 and infinite on hard Uncharted 2 and 3 on hard
I know they're completely different games, but is it paced similarly? I don't like my games to be a breeze, but I also don't want to get stuck for a ridiculous amount of time and for it to be so hard the first time I play that I don't enjoy it (a la bio shock 1 on survivor first try)
Finished the game last night and loved every minute. Each time I sat down to play it I'd say 'only a couple hours,' next thing I knew five or six had gone by. Now I'm starting a playthrough on new game plus while waiting for the single player DLC to arrive. The DLC is intriguing to me because I see a few places where it could fit in very nicely but I won't mention where because I don't want to even slightly spoil anything for anybody. I want to start a spoiler thread but first I'd like an ok from the people who run the forums because I know duplicate threads are frowned upon.

I would be fine with putting spoilers in the thread title if everyone else wants too. There are many parts of the game I would love too talk about but don't want to ruin it for anyone.
I'm in the middle of a New Game Plus playthrough as well and it's just as terrific the second time around. I feel this is easily Naughty Dogs best work and that is coming from a huge Uncharted fan.
I don't think I have ever seen story telling this good in a video game.
I just finished it again and I'm going to try and move on too something else in till the DLC comes out. I just know whatever I play next just isn't going to compare...
I finished the Winter section yesterday. Most of the time I don't really care for stories in a game, but my god, this game has me glued to my seat for every cutscene. Can't wait to see how Spring plays out.
I am stuck on the hotel part where you have to turn generator on and find a key card! In my honest opinion this part is letting it down for me because the difficulty spike is ridiculous. Also it is sooooo easy to get lost!!
I understand it is a 10/10 game for a reason but I have know reviews kill points due to failures like this. :/
EDIT: Found the card - did not help that the game kept hinting me to turn power on 1st :/
I don't remember that part being too bad, or any part in the game really. I only play on normal though so maybe that's why I didn't run into any difficulty spikes that were really bad.
Hey folks, im new here, this game made me buy a PS3 and convert from XBox360. Boy... what a Masterpiece, just romped through it the first time and I gotta say I never played anything that moved and thrilled me in that fashion. The only thing coming close is the first Bioshock. But seriously... this is the pinnacle of gaming, it even almost looks like a Next Gen title. Im highly impressed and even the sixaxis controller grow son me!

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.

Thanks buddy, Ill keep myself busy no doubt. Uncharted 3 is here already, gonna play through all of them, god Naughty Dog are really up to snuff, not even Halo 4's cutscenes are as impressive as The Last of Us ingame graphics. Stunning. I also want to romp through Resistance 1-3 together with a buddy. I really needed a change of exclusives. Having a PC and a 3DS as well I can really pick the best of all worlds now! My wallet hates me but it seems like the times were you'Re good with one console are over...

Welcome! Besides those listed above, I'd also recommend that you check out the infamous series.
