So recently I have been doing another playthrough of Borderlands 2 (got Gaige to level 50 ) and with Tales from the Borderlands being a PSN+ game this month, I was quite surprised that we didn't have a Borderlands thread here. So feel free to discuse anything and everything Borderlands here.
I have one question for Borderlands 2. I just hit 50 with Gaige about midway through the second playthrough (just finished up Lynchwood) so I was wondering what's a good time to start the DLC for Borderlands 2?
There are spoilers in the Tiny Tina DLC but since you have finished it before you would be fine. That said it makes more sense story wise if you wait till after the main story. It's hands down the best DLC from the game and one of my favortie DLC's from last gen.
As for the rest I don't really remember? They were good but nowhere near as good as the Tiny Tina one.
Some of the DLCs seem to just be battle arenas... but some of them are truly awesome. Tiny Tina's DLC is the best thing ever . I think I did Captain Scarlett's booty first, then Tiny Tina's next, after my second playthrough (using Maya).
The best part of Tiny Tina's has to be The Darkness http://borderlands.wikia.com/wiki/The_Darkness or Butt Stallion pooping out loot..... but generally it was a highlight of the series for me.
Been enjoying the Tales from the Borderlands game from PS Plus, it's got that great Borderlands humour! And the characters are pretty interesting so far
@Kyroki Yeah highly recommended playing 2 before any of the others. Tales is a sequel to 2 while with Presequel has refrences from 2 that you probably won't get unless you play 2 before hand.

So my friend ended up picking up The Handsome Collection from this week's PSN sale so starting with a new character to run with him. I decided to try out Maya in Borderlands 2 and I have to say she's alot of fun to play!! Since we are doing a group play, my friend is Krieg, my son is playing Zer0 I decided to go the harmony tree with Maya to heal.
At first I thought it would be a bit hard to play healer in a game like Borderlands, but I am finding it alot of fun. Her phase lock ability is pretty neat as a cc mechanic too. I can't wait till she's higher level!!

Just a heads up The new DLC is available for Borderlands 2. Right now it's free and I am not quite sure how long that will last (maybe till the end of E3) at which point it will go to $14.99. So grab it now.
This is suppose to bridge the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3, ups the level cap to 80 and adds new weapons and such to BL2.

new DLC doesn't seem to be available if you own the disc version of the handsome collection. the psn store says it's unavailable and if you click on "tell me more" it says "You do not own - Borderlands : The Handsome Collection" - i have the disc version installed and fully patched.
@leucocyte Maybe it's a glitch with the UK store then? I live in NA and didn't have any probelms. I also did it from the PS App on my phone. I got it then just downloaded it from there.

@Tasuki@leucocyte Thanks for the heads up! Yeah, I claimed it and downloaded it straight from the app. It’s called “Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary” or something like that. No problem here in NA.

@leucocyte I just reclaimed it too here in the UK. Went to the game on the dash, down to 'PlayStation Store' and then right to the DLC. The description says it's free until the end of July 8th.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder - do you have the digital edition? it seems to work if you have that. i even tried using the downloadable content menu from within the game and the only thing that shows available for me is the 4K High Resolution pack for PS4 Pro. i don't have a 4K tv, so have never bothered to download that.
@leucocyte I've got the physical edition of the hadsmome collection, but I changed it over to digital when it came on ps+. I can see both dlc's but not downloaded the 4k one as don't have a 4k tv either.

@Gremio108 I carried on our convo here so as not to derail the other thread.
I suppose if you find Claptrap annoying already it could be. I think you can turn the quips off in the audio settings though.
Yeah that is a boon, I know a lot of people disliked the oxygen thing. I like his special, it is like a glitch or virus with random results. Some of them are pretty wierd.
Not sure if this is unique to him but I have a O2 mod which when you butt stomp makes him fart! 😂 Which is totally my type of humour. And it also comes through the ds4 speaker, so sounds like my controller is farting! 😂😂

I mean, as annoying as he is, I kind of feel like if I pass up the opportunity to actually play as Claptrap, can I really call myself a Borderlands fan?
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@Gremio108 If it means passing on the Pre-Sequel then yes 😂. Seriously though even with the possibility of playing Claptrap that couldn't get me to finish Pre-Sequel.
