@BAMozzy: All valid points man. I definitely know that CoD players are some of the most ultra competitive players out there and going in you have to realize it, that's why I don't feel to bad when I get outgunned or something. I mean yeah I could buy $200 controllers like them or whatever else fancy equipment they have but can I justify it. I guess it would be the same like if I went bowling and used the bowling alley's balls instead of buying my own.
And yes map knowledge in MWRM makes a huge difference. I can tell when I go up against some old CoD4 vets. But I have come to expect that since I never played CoD4.

Double XP weekend for Modern Warfare Remastered (as well as Infinite Warfare). Also for those who are interested in Modern Warfare Remastered but not so much Infinite Warfare several places have the legend edition on sale this weekend for $60. So basically you be paying the normal price for a AAA game for Modern Warfare Remastered. For now this is as close to it being sold sperately as it gets, and I will say it's worth the 60 dollars. It's not a sloppy remaster and they even added to the game some things that the original CoD4 didn't have.

So a big congrats to Activision for whoring out CoD. Supply drops are now officially coming to Modern Warfare Remastered. Looks like if I want my classic CoD fix I will have to stick with Black Ops 2.

@Tasuki: In fairness though, these do look like purely cosmetic items. It means you can pick how you character looks, have a much greater array of weapon camos, have more than just a red dot reticle, have more emblems/playercards etc. Even the weapon packs (or whatever they are called) only change the way a weapon looks, not its statistics and way it handles. Its still exactly the same game it always was but with a LOT more customisation - nothing that changes the way the game plays at all. If you really can't cope with being shot by a player with a camo on their M16 whilst looking down a red dot site that has an ice cream cone instead of just a red dot, then maybe you should play CoD3 as these things only became more prevalent in later CoDs. I am sure BO2 had camo's, customisable reticles and even a wider array of emblems as you could create your own...
I would complain if these introduced weapons (that weren't cosmetically different) or changed how the game played but as that is still exactly the same, I couldn't care less!

@Doctor_BK: Yeah I do see you on alot. Though you probably don't want me in your party. I am probably the worst player, more often then not not even finishing with a positive KDR haha.

So rumors are flying around again of Modern Warfare Remastered being sold separately. This time it's from a GameFly posting that says June for PS4 and July for Xbox One and PC.
I guess this kinda makes sense since by now everyone who bought the legecy bundle who wanted MWR pretty much will have it by then. That and with the release of CoD: WWII coming a few months after that, they probably won't get much for it anyway by then.
So appearently according to Target Modern Warfare Remastered standalone will cost $39.99 and will be available tomorrow. Honestly I cant see this selling well for various reasons,
1. Too close to the realease of CoD WWII
2. The supply drops, and added stuff to the game
3. The already small enough player base being so split.
The only people I can see buying it now are people who enjoyed the campaign and don't have their previous systems or game anymore or people who never experienced the campaign but I can't see anyone buying it for the Multiplayer. And even then I can't see some people paying $39.99 for just a campaign especially if they already played it before.

I honestly think I am done with MWR it was a neat experiment but its age does shine through. If I need a CoD fix, I have BO2 and BO3 which will calm that craving till CoD WWII comes out.

@Tasuki I haven't played it since they did that St Patricks day stuff. I haven't even prestiged. Its still just as 'bad' as I remembered it being and equally as frustrating - maybe more so now with the added weapons etc. Its still full of grenade spamming, campers with claymores, last stand/martyrdom users etc. Campaign was fun to replay but I think it lost some of the impact - especially knowing exactly what comes next... I was annoyed to that the 4 DLC Maps were so expensive considering they gave them away free with my PS3 version and I bought them for Xbox 360 all those years ago (yes I owned it for both systems...). I think SW:BF2 will be my FPS game of choice in November and may pick up WW2 in the new year. It looks so dated - not necessarily visually but game-play wise with too many backwards steps. War mode looks interesting but its not that different to similar modes in BF1 and SW:BF2

@BAMozzy I haven't even prestiged yet either, I am close like high 40s but as you said it's just annoying with the gernade spamming and the supply drop weapons. Martyrdom and claymore I never ran into that just people gernade spamming. Then of course teammates who never play the objectives.

So today MWR is available by itself. Also today starts the Days of Summer event. Activision said this event will cover multiple CoD games. Most are thinking MWR, IW ad BO3, some just say MWR and IW. For MWR however it's been revealed that a remake of Bog called Beach Bog will be added to MWR along with a Summer supply drops that will only be available during the event kinda like the Shamrock and Awe supply crates. I am not quite sure what the other games are doing yet.

So I finally prestiged in this game, however I don't think I will unlock it. Reason being I just don't play this game enough and sadly I don't want everything locked again. To be honest I might play it once or twice from now till when WWII releases but when WWII releases my attention FPS wise is going to be split between CoD:WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II.

Interesting! Especially as so many cite the reason they don't like the more recent CoD's because of the TTK. In terms of TTK, modern Warfare is the fastest on average - even without Stopping Power. Infinite Warfare, the most recent, also happens to be the slowest average TTK - in fact all those with Advanced Movement also happen to be the 3 slowest - both in terms of close range and long range.
W@W is one of the slowest too but mostly because of the fire rate of the weapons - not the damage output. TTK is determined by how many shots a weapon takes to kill and the rate of fire to spit those 'bullets' out so a low damage high fire rate could kill as quick as a slow firing high damage weapon.
Anyway, I thought this was interesting and I have always said that the games people hold as the pinnacle of CoD had much faster TTK despite hose saying they don't like the 'fast' TTK of more recent games... Just proves that belief is wrong. I know that Ghosts had a much better lag compensation and therefore your 'bullets' were actually registering when they should so appeared to kill quicker. Games like MW3, had poor Lag compensation and so often a lot of your bullets were not registering (mainly because the character wasn't where they were appearing to be) and so TTK was overall slower. Like I said though, that was more down to the 'broken' game than anything else.
