@Tasuki: I feel the same way. I will try Infinite Warfare and maybe put a few hours into it, but CoD4RM will be my focus and the game that keeps me busy for most of the year.
@Doctor_BK: Yeah I feel that if I want IW style I will just stick with BO3 but who knows. Also I forgot to say that I do plan on spending some time with Zombies as well.

I feel I know what CoD4 will offer and how it will play. I can't see myself spending to much time with it overall. I am not saying I won't spend any time. I will complete the campaign and maybe prestige once (just to unlock the challenges) but as far as the game-play is concerned, I think it will feel 'dated' and slow by modern standards. Yes I loved it in 2007 but back then a lot of what CoD4 offered was 'new'. It will be good for that nostalgic trip back and ability to play a game that isn't full of hackers but I still think it will feel dated too. Its a great 'bonus' and better than a fridge, night vision goggles or a remote controlled vehicle but I also remember a lot of the BS that has since been 'removed' and the more flexible create a class set-up too. I bet we will still see campers with their claymores, M16 dominating, no/quick scoping and of course the grenade spam as well and no flak jacket either! I will certainly enjoy it in relatively small bursts but I can see IW being my main focus.
I prefer the more recent CoD games (well with the exception of Advanced Warfare). The create a class system allowed much more variation, including weapon customisation - the ability to put a site AND an attachment - and a lot less BS too. Its why a lot of aspects from CoD4 no longer remain - things like martyrdom, last stand, steady aim on sniper classes, toned down explosives as well as the addition of Flak Jacket, no fragx3, no 'stopping power/juggernaut' etc.
Like I said, at the time, no other game offered what CoD4 did and it was 'new' and fresh but 9yrs on and with each new game tweaking, refining and building on that formula, I am more excited by the advancements than heading backwards. I guess if you don't like the advanced movement that brings another dimension to the game-play, then CoD4 will go back to basics. The story was great too of course but I doubt it will have the same impact as playing it for the first time. Its not as if you don't know what happens next...

I pre-ordered this a couple of weeks ago, looking forward to both. I only played MW's campaign back in the day, wasn't playing online at the time so that will be a fresh experience to me. Also I have to say, Infinite Warfare looks pretty exciting to me, I've never played a COD game online so dunno how it would compare but it's the first COD game since Black Ops 1 to interest. Pretty excited for this package! I only wish it came out last year, three of my most anticipated games this year are COD, BF1 and Titanfall 2 and they all come out around the same time!
@BAMozzy: Fair enough, I can see where your coming from. For one thing I will say with MWRM, this will be my first time playing it, ddn't play a CoD game till BO1 and really didn't get into them until BO3. I have gone back and played BO2 alot recently and I do prefer the slower paced of boots to the ground then the faster paced game play of BO3. Part of the reason is my reflexes just aren't as sharp as they use to be so once people start boost jumping around and wall running it's hard for me to keep a positive KDR. I am not saying I won't play IW I just can see me playing MWRM more.

Cannot wait for MW its the best COD ever made and from the people that have played it its still as amazing as ever, i'll still be playing IW both on & offline to see what it is like from what i've seen it looks really good. Now i know IW could call Treyarch up anytime about Zombies mode & from what i've seen and read, its looking really good. With Infinite Warfare, Watch Dogs 2 & PS4 Pro come November i cannot wait, and people are complaining about delays thank god for them.
Also from what I have been hearing Raven Software says that they will heavily support MWRM as if it is its own yearly CoD release. So far it is looking really good and on par with IW rather then a sloppy remaster like say MUA.
I really hope this is a continuing trend that with every year they will release a remaster.

@WebHead: I honestly think Titanfall 2 is going to be lost with IW/MWRM and Battlefield 1 launching around the same time. I don't know about you guys, but everyone I know is either going to be getting either IW/MWRM or BF1 and playing those mainly. Most of my co-workers, friends etc said that with those two TF2 will have to take a back seat mainly due to time and money constraints and I can understand that.

So the multiplayer beta for Infinite Warfare starts in 4 days 10/14 on PS4 and will contain 3+ maps and 5+ game modes. More information in the video below
Does anyone happen to have any spare Beta keys lying around? I'm really sorry to bother you guys with this, but I gave away mine thinking my brother and my best mate had Beta codes of their own, but the shop where they pre ordered haven't sent them out yet unfortunately.
With the Beta ending today what were people's thoughts on it? I really enjoyed it and I'm still excited for the full game. That was my first experience of CoD online multiplayer and I was pretty impressed, everything was pretty polished for a beta, the gameplay is very fast, re-spawns are near instantaneous, it has really cool movement options with the wall-running and sliding, the guns are pretty fun and interesting and I liked the combat rigs and their unique payloads
@Hego: I enjoy the extra dimension advanced movement brings to the fast paced arcade action of Call of Duty. I know many prefer the full boots on the ground and prefer a more contemporary setting but I find this slows the game down a bit and the setting doesn't allow for too much creativity as they are limited to reality. The setting allows for more unique maps and love the way bodies float off on the space-station map. Looking forward to seeing the different colour palettes of maps based off-Earth. It opens up interesting possibilities - like a Map on a small asteroid where the enemy could be on the other side - effectively underneath you - rather than a more 'flat' area. I don't mind futuristic weaponry either as they handle similarly to traditional ballistic weapons but can also have unique benefits - like regenerating ammo or multiple function (like AR or split into 2 dual wield pistols). The extra movement allows for more freedom. alternative flanking routes, more gun on gun action (you don't get shot climbing a ladder for example), quicker to get into the action etc.

I spent a good amount of time on the beta and while I enjoyed it it just felt more of the same of BO3, which don't get me wrong isn't a bad thing it's just right now I am still burnt on the whole BO3 like movement system of wall jumping and sliding and all that. Game wise it looks beautiful, plays nice (for that style) and I like the weapons perks, payloads etc.
Now will I right it off? No. Do I think it's horrible of course not. BO3 will have a soft spot in my heart along with its movement system and gameplay since it was the first CoD game that I really got into so naturally IW will give me that warm fuzzy feeling with its simiar playstyle if that makes sense. It's just right now I am looking forward to experiencing some boots on the ground with MWRM since I never really experienced that style of CoD when it was during its lifecycle.
I have a feeling that I might bounce between IW and MWRM once I am not burnt of the BO3 movement system. Then of course there's is Zombies I am really looking forward too.

@Tasuki: I know fine well that adding the MW Remaster was mostly a marketing decision to entice pre-orders and higher purchases but part of me also thinks that it's no coincidence that the most futuristic CoD game is paired with the original Modern Warfare CoD, having both games on the same disc (and hopefully and logically accessible from the same menu) allows people to quickly switch from sci-fi esque shooting to a boots on the ground experience. That's a pretty cool idea I think at least and should help to avoid burnt out on either game to some degree.
@Hego: Exactly. It's a smart move on their part. By doing want they are doing they are giving all their fans what they want. The ones that want a Sci Fi shooter get IW, the ones that want classic CoD have MWRM. Yeah I won't go into how you have to get IW for MWRM and need it to play it but besides that down point it was a brilliant move.
