Topic: Game of the Year Predictions

Hmm I’d give it to Resi 2 but I haven’t played many games this year. I am pretty excited for Control, Astral Chain and Pokemon and cautiously optimistic about Death Stranding so it’s all to play for!

Oh yeah, and the new Doom!

Personally the best game I've played released this year has been Division 2. Definitely won't get GOTY nods but it's the most fun I've had with a 2019 game. If I had to bet I'd say that unless it's a complete and utter disaster it'll probably go to Death Stranding. While it most likely won't be my personal pick, I don't think anything else will top it. I'd guess it'll probably review well based on Kojima alone and will scoop up the award from many of the bigger sites.

Of the new games released for the first time this year the one I’ve have enjoyed the most was kingdom hearts three.
What I have most hope for that’s releasing later this year is trials of cold steel 3.
I haven’t got it yet but I also expect a new fire emblem to be good.
The have been some excellent remakes this year like Tales of Vesperia and that the Ace Attorney Trilogy but I don’t really count them as games of this year.

I'm now starting on my masterpiece and have invented the main enemy characters. Who drive sidecar vehicles which are fuelled by blood (which is animated in the see through fuel tank). I've invented a pretty quirky game mechanic were you control the lights on the game - it could be a great idea. I just need the time to polish everything I do here on in.

Even though its early doors some of the stuff coming out of Dreams is great. Tonight I played a unique take on The last guardian, had a game of downhill 10 pin bowling and then played a game dedicated to Freddie Mercury - you pull all his old poses and play bohemian rhapsody on the piano! Crazy good quality and it's only going to get better.

@themcnoisy I think he's talking about actual Dreams. We can't see your creation in the link without signing in, though, and if the recent Doom drama has taught us anything it's that people won't make accounts for stuff, period.

@kyleforrester87 Your creations are all stored on the indreams.me website. So it makes sense for Dreams to do it.

You should buy the game mate. Honestly for an open minded gamer like you there's a treasure trove of stuff. It's my goty easily.

@BowTiesAreCool just read your comment. Tetris effect was last year, it actually won Eurogamers goty.

I love Tetris effect, beat the game and it's one of a rare breed which will stay in my library of games. However it came out the same year as God of War, Spiderman and the fantastic and my personal goty Astrobot. I've struggled with gaming this year because Astrobot is everything I have ever wanted in a game. Fun, engaging, fresh, polished and jaw dropping. Nothing else stacks up.

@themcnoisy ah, I wasn't sure if it was just on the cusp of missing out with it being so late in the year.

Have you given The Playroom VR a good go? For me it's every bit as funny and fun as Astrobot, a little less repetitive and a really fun game to Platinum. It's criminally underrated/ignored by the PSVR community in my opinion! And it's FREE!

@BowTiesAreCool yup. The only problem is you need more people to play the cowboy game and the ghost House.

@themcnoisy only slightly! Not to the point where it's even approaching boring or anything. I came to it after The Playroom so I was expecting that level of variety etc without realising fully what the game was.

For me Devil may Cry 5 dose a great job in visuals and gameplay, the story repetitive since DMC 3.
