It's a six year old game that's universally disliked, I think the spoiler statute of limitations has been and gone Also, I never mentioned the how and why of that part. That would be a spoiler.
@Shigurui Considering that it’s set during the French Revolution... colour me interested in how the Eiffel Tower’s in there! Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
@nessisonett - Unity is a great entry in the AC series. I understand why it got the criticism it did but it's come a long way since launch. The bugs are mostly gone and if you play on a pro with boost mode enabled the frame rate is solid. Glad I piqued your interest. Let us know how you get on with it if you do go on to play it.
I'm not sure if I really like anything that's widely considered to be outright bad, but I really liked that Vampyr game a few years back which got middling reviews and a bunch of negative ones.
Its not outright bad but mario aces on the switch is considered critically as downright mediocre. However, its my absolute guilty pleasure!! Like many nintendo products it has a hidden depth and when you get a decent match online, its a thing of beauty! I really enjoy the standard mode which almost has a fighting game esque component with rackets having durability. The doubles mode is beautifully chaotic but launched after the player base started to fall away. Every mode nintendo released after launch further fragmented what was left of the player base. You can still get a game in standard tournament though (just played a couple of matches tonight). Its got a decent roster and characters are much more balanced than they were at launch (people who picked bowser Jr were scum lol, you know who you are, your the kind of bas@#rd that would pick Eddie Gordo at Tekken). The campaign was surprisingly tricky in parts but lacked any real depth and swing mode was no wii tennis, being pretty broken and too tricky for folk who don't really play games. I really couldn't recommend anyone to spend 30-40 quid on it given that most online modes are empty but its absolutely some of the best fun I've had in an online competitive game.
@TheFrenchiestFry DMC4 is fun but it’s a bit annoying having to fight the exact same bosses about 3 times. It’s a game I wouldn’t replay while 3 is specifically designed to make you want to replay it.
@nessisonett The problem with 4 for me is the pacing. The switching between Nero and Dante feels so abrupt and out of nowhere that it feels like neither of them get proper moments to shine in terms of gameplay
Everyone says DMC4 is Nero's game but I'd honestly argue DMC5 could've passed off way more as a Nero-centric game given how much he's at the center of everything and how in depth systems like the Devil Breakers are
@Kidfried I never had a game cube, just looked it up and looks like great fun! I always think these types of games shine most with local multiplayer. To be honest, Mario aces was my first mario ip sports game, wouldn't mind something else like that on switch. Apparently mario strikers was pretty well loved, a new game would sell gangbusters on switch.
Painted as the Black Sheep amongst the PS4 exclusives yet I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has obvious flaws BUT I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the gameplay is very good and it is strangely beautiful at times.
I'd definitely be up for a sequel and to continue the adventures of one Deacon St. John.
I do appreciate that it launched it in a very tough state (I only started playing it in early Jan) but the reviewers were way too harsh imo and overall I preferred it over many other games I have played this gen Inc Spider-Man.
1. Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest
2. Spider-Man the Return of the Sinister Six
3. Singularity - not bad because people say it is bad but bad because not many have finished it and liked the story
@Zuljaras Simon’s Quest really is playable and I love a lot of the groundwork it laid for later Metroidvanias but some of those puzzles are truly cryptic! I’m not sure I could play it again without a guide as my first playthrough years ago led to me printing out a walkthrough, before I could just look stuff up on my phone.
These games actually i gave them score 5 / 10 or 5.5 / 10, but i still like to play with them despite the flaws inside.
1. Cooking Mama games
2. Animal Boxing NDS
3. Jake Power series NDS
4. DDR 2010 Wii
5. Dual Pen Sports 3DS
