@Octane no, as explained in other threads when a user deletes their account it will remove any topics they created too (along with replies). Unfortunately that's the way we have to do it currently. Maybe in future we'll have a way for the user to allow us to "adopt" their threads when deleting their account.
GDPR is somehow both absolutely arse and completely necessary with the widespread data harvesting done by websites out there. Shame about the threads though.
So I found this little bug. It's not game breaking, but slightly annoying. The menu says I have a new item in my Collections, a new Scroll apparently, but I've read them all, so the indicator (red triangle) should disappear, but it's still there. I can't make it go away.
My favourite thing about this game gameplay-wise is that I can approach combat in any way I wish and all of those ways are super fun and legit. Normally, I settle for a certain, most efficient way of dealing with things and then just rinse and repeat. In this game, I can't wait to keep trying out all the moves, mix and match them. I start with stealth to thin out, then bow or a bomb, then direct combat, drop a smoke bomb and do a stealth kill or a chain assassination, pull off a special technique etc. It's all just such a spectacle.
@JohnnyShoulder Great screenshots posted online, you have a good eye, very tasteful. I just started the game today. I adore the visuals, compelling storytelling and above all, the gameplay. I know that the majority of the antagonists you face are all quite physically vulnerable, realistically human characters, and know that it only takes a handful of hits to kill Jin, too, but I like that about the game and know it was the creators' intention to make it that way, emphasizing realism over gamification, although there is obviously quite a lot of that too.

@finalstan Yeah it is quite easy to mix things up when approaching enemy camps, villages etc. I frequently do that to prevent things felling a bit stale.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic Cheers! Half the stuff I grab is just luck, I've loaded the game up and the view is a stunner. Although you need to move the screen to get the framing right. Most of the ones when I have deliberately tried to take a certain shot I've been less impressed with. Hope you enjoy the game and you find the combat OK.
The more i keep hearing about this the more i feel like i have to get it! Finally they made an open world game set in feudal Japan! I pretty much gave up on Ubisoft ever doing it with the AC games. Now they don't have to! So is this game as good and as much a must play as it seems or is it overhyped a bit?

Yeah, it's alright for what it is. Maybe it's because of the open world structure. I wouldn't put it up with games like God of War or The Last of Us Part 2. It's just a better Assassin's Creed. Like a solid 7 or 8 out of 10.
I've finally reached Act 2 of the game now although Ryuzo handed me my ass a few times before I beat him and advanced to the next part of the map but think I'm going to go back and clear a bit more of the first area before carrying on the story. This game is climbing up my list of favorite games for sure.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic It's not a comparison that has sprung to mind when playing. Timing and countering definitely come into play but I find there are much less button combinations to try to remember/master. There are a few quick throw items too but I personally find the combat much more to my liking. Every now and then I mess up a little and I'll be low on health quite quick but then it makes it feel even better when I take on several enemies and they don't land a hit on me.
@Arugula The no lock on was a bit strange at first, but I soon got used to it and don't even notice any more. The combat and exploration are the games strongest points imo, haven't enjoyed an open world game as much as this in a long time.

@LN78 Not long started Act 3, done enough missions to open up fast travel to the rest of the island. I often do stuff such as not doing stand off to give myself a bit of a challenge. Thinking off increasing the difficulty to Hard. Act 2 seemed to introduce more enemy types so far than Act 3 which I've only experienced the ones that can inflict poison .
My only major criticism is that some of the side quests (especially ones that you get from a random villager) became a bit boring and there was an over reliance on tracking on some of them.
@JohnnyShoulder Still enjoying it then? I am a bit earlier on in the game, still playing the Tale of Lady Masako from Act 1, but I really enjoyed the ambush that occurs during that tale when you're looking for signs of her presence, completely took me by surprise in a good way and totally reminded me, again, of the Arkham games, specifically the part where Mr. Hammer or his brother ambushes you when you are looking for Mr. Freeze, totally reminiscent of that, in Arkham City.

@Draco_V_Ecliptic Not feeling the similarities with the arkham games really, sure there are some probably but you could say that about combat in every third person action adventure/rpg game these days. I would say it reminds me more of AC Origins, but then you have the different stances which mixes things up a bit. The combat in this feels so much more satisfying too.
Yep still enjoying it, think I'm nearing the end at about halfway through act 3.
