Oh no, nex machina has just been delayed until the 20th June. How grim is that?

They reset the leaderboards. I'm just going to have to set some new scores.

I just got whooped in world 2, this game will be brutal on harder difficulties.

I suppose like resogun your best off learning were roughly you need to be for each wave / human and the key points to dash towards when you're getting overrun. I love the little pings of sound.

Pity I'm so tired can see this being a great game to master, given the chance.

@themcnoisy I recommend just playing through on a Rookie a couple of times to get used to the systems and the layout of the levels.

I didn't realize pre-orders end at 10pm. I was trying to pre-order it at 10:03pm last night and it was giving me the full price so now I have to wait for a sale. Looking forward to playing it some day though.

So what do we think? I played through Rookie and half of the "normal" difficulty this evening - need to spend some more time getting to grips with it!

@kyleforrester87 I will team with you this weekend bro! I love the game.

There may be a tad too much going on for its own good at times but those last minute dashes and voxel shattering madness really get your adrenaline going.

@themcnoisy Sounds good but i dont think it has online co-op?? (maybe im wrong)

I still haven't gotten a chance to try this yet, but I'm excited to dive in! @themcnoisy @kyleforrester87 - Yeah, there's no online co-op at the moment. I'm hoping they can patch it in further down the line.

I just got done playing for the first time and it's pretty intense. There is a hell of a lot happening at one time haha. I did enjoy it tho. I doubt I will play it for hours at a time but will be a good game in short bursts.

@Splat agreed. The arcade mode seems to be longer than resogun, unsure if that's just me but completing the rookie arcade mode took that little bit too long. I'm pretty much spent on concentration towards the end of world 2 and by world 4 I was going through the motions to complete the game. Again compared to resogun there's way more to remember, you have your on rail enemies, beacons, hidden humans, bugs, hidden areas and the random secondary weapons. So it's harder to get good as there's more to perfect and the locations alter rather than one plane of action.

With resogun during the first area you can breeze through some sections and take time out often with the screen clearing special during the latter stages. That doesn't seem the case with nex Machina. Maybe I need to perfect using the secondary weapons but they seem a touch underwhelming in comparison.
