Let's say if I've voted for the PS3 version of The Last Of Us and someone else voted for the Remastered version instead do both versions count as one game?

@Tasuki: @themcnoisy: I don't know about you, but an 'exclusive' to me is a game that only comes out for 1 family of platforms. I still consider Rares N64 games as 'exclusives' to the N64 even though a fair few have been ported to Xbox. I consider Final Fantasy 7 as an 'Exclusive' too although I know it became available to PC owners. FF7 though is one of those grey area games. I know it was originally planned for SNES, then the N64 but because of its size and cartridge format of the N64, it was moved to Playstation and so was kind of circumstantial as to how it ended up on PS. For example, would you consider Mass Effect as an XB360 exclusive? It was originally but got ported to Windows 6months later by a different studio (Demiurge Studios) to Bioware (developers) and didn't come to PS for a few years and again was 'ported' by a different studio (Edge of Reality). To me Mass Effect is in even more of a grey area as it has had a release on a platform in direct competition to the one it originally launched on but made sense to release on PS with the other games in the trilogy releasing too. I don't consider Rise of the Tomb Raider to be an Exclusive even though a year separates the release dates.

I know there is some grey areas within this category but as a 'rule of thumb' we could look at the the game's original plan - was it released as an 'exclusive' or 'timed', was it circumstances that led a game to be 'ported' to other formats and if this still leaves a 'grey' area, then as the runner of the cup, with a few trusted others, can have a discussion and decide one way or another. In truth though, there isn't that many games that could be considered a grey area. Games ported to other formats but a different generation in my opinion are still 'exclusive' If a game exclusive to PS2 (for example) is ported to the XB360/XB1, its still an exclusive because it wasn't available on the same 'generation' of console. How that fits in with Ridge Racer (which version??) I don't know as I am not sure which version you are referring to and all the versions.

I still think though that the PS, with over 21 years, have a lot of exclusives that can be considered with no grey areas. For many its these 'exclusives' that brought them into the Playstation family and distinguishes it from other platforms.
