I main with Ivy, Talim and Raphael usually. Raph is badly nerfed in 6 so have swapped in Groh, Nightmare or Siegfried. Unfortunately the online can be a bad connection so I have stayed away from it.

Awesome to fight with someone who knows the fundamentals, the Kilik vs Maxi fight we had last was great. I didn't have a move to beat your vertical x2 to horizontal as it was the fastest move out of the fighters so we kept clashing and I had to try and escape. Obviously it didn't work.

Well it's the official/only SCVI thread so I'll post here

First impressions are pretty good

I played it for about four hours overall... Most of that time though was probably spent in the character creator!

Made two characters so far of An Elf and a Skeleton (why no Lizard lady though?!).

The fact you can choose to make different races is a pretty nice addition to the mode born in SC III, though there really isn't a whole lot of stuff to choose from to clothe them in, especially as I need to unlock things still (and a bunch is added in via the season pass)

Saw some fighters the community made and it was quite impressive indeed. There was one Spawn someone made that I think Kal'd find pretty neat (I'll upload it to the screenshots thread tonight)

And someone who had WAY TOO much time on their hands on making the character look like she was in her birthday suit! 😅 (Won't be showing that obviously!)

Played some of Libra of the Soul too. Only met Maxi so far of the cast (Probably my least favourite SC character) past the small intro with Zasalamel.

The tutorial in here (with that bumbling master with no sense of direction) like @Th3solution said is pretty decent too... I remember Soul Calibur 3 had a pretty good tutorial mode as well.

Genuinely surprised at how much writing there is in Libra of the soul mode. Reminds me of Soul Calibur 2's Weapon Master mode for the most part just expanded with some dialogue/moral choices... The lack of voice acting so far doesn't really bother me (though It wouldn't hurt either)

Arcade was pretty fluid and fun.

Tried out Geralt who in some shots looks fine, in others he looks like Geralt's cousin "Garelt" or something as he looks a bit off. His fighting style's pretty neat though.

Grøh was pretty interesting as well with his twin blades! Talks a lot like a robot though from his intro's and outro's. Wonder if that means anything regarding his backstory...

And Yoshimitsu whom fit like an old glove. I did his "flea" move of getting up on his sword and went into a burst of laughter when I pressed forwards and he started walking on his swords like a pair of stilts... Was not expecting that in the slightest! 😂

That's all for now about it. Think I'll play Witcher III and this alongside each other when I get back to it!

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy SC 6 is fantastic. The story is terrible but the gameplay is sweet!

You can change the colour or pattern of any part of any clothing item or character. Even with a fairly limited selection of parts it’s possible to make things look radically different from each other.

That's pretty true @Ryall, I've seen a whole bunch of creative characters already... still the amount of clothing items initially on offer is a touch disappointing compared to what I remember in 3 but the patterns are pretty good to use

Point me to a fighting game that has a legitimately good story @themcnoisy! Even MKX's supposedly lauded story (Seriously what were the reviewers playing?) is tripe and utterly contrived 😂

Wish there was a good fighting game with a well written story to it as I mainly like fighting games for that purpose cus I'm not that great at them...

... But fighting games hardly lend themselves to that... It's no wonder most of them are just "fighing tournament"!

Least the Soul Calibur series tries bless it

@Foxy-Goddess-Scotchy I main with Ivy (long range) , Raph (medium range) and Talim (close up scrapping) .

New boy Groh is brilliant, if there was still a team battle 3v3 he would swap in with either Raph or Ivy depending on my reflexes.

SC6 is great.

Been playing Libra of the Soul mode today mostly.

12 hours I've spent in this (Overall playtime i mean!) with my Colossus Cali whom has Azwel's fighting style ... And I'm still not done! In fact I missed a number of missions early I think including the conclusion to Nightmare's 😂

I've chose every evil option too... Not sure if that really has any bearing on things besides trophies though and whether you get Soul Edge or Soul Calibur.

Been enjoying it. Would be nice if you could switch weapon styles without having to make a new slot/character just to switch things up a bit in Libra... But it's pretty fun and MUCH longer then I thought it'd be!

You can. If you’re equip a weapon from a different style you switch to that style. There are shops in some of the towns that’s sell weapons in every style.

I went into the character create thinking I had to change it there...

Soulcalibur 6’s DLC 11 and 12 are up on the store but they’re trying to charge me money even though I have the both season passes.
Is anyone else having a similar problem?
