Topic: Star Wars Battlefront II --OT--

@RogerRoger i was playing BFII last night and i was actually on a winning team (not that i actually contributed to it, link to Video in my sig box)

but anyway that wasn't what i wanted to say, in one game i was in a Walker on Jakku when the objective moved and a Troop Transport came down and landed on top of may walker and it just spazed the game out and i was stuck there for the remainder of the match, i couldn't respawn manually (which should be an option) i couldn't leave the vehicle (which again should be an option), the only positive is that i was able to be a safe place for my team mates to respawn

it was well annoying

@RogerRoger yeah i saw the option that is there but it just wouldn't let me do it, it was greyed out

as for Anakin i'll get to play him loads as i always practise with new characters in the arcade mode before going online anyway but yeah it's pretty stupid that people quit just because they can't be the new guy

@Nakatomi_Uk Yes it is easily worth 8. I am terrible at this game but still enjoy it very much. I don't play all the time, but just come back to scratch that Star Wars itch.

It would have to really suck to not be worth 8 quid lol.

@RogerRoger It does sound like great updates are on the way... Now for Starfighter Assault...

I think The Rise of Skywalker may end up hurting the game in a 'stuff no-one wants' sort of way. Obviously we have to wait and see, but I reckon that film is going to be a rather vapid and cynical experience.

Also, @get2sammyb - as Rog says, it is probably worth an article on how thoroughly different the game is now compared to on release. Perhaps even an up to date guide if any of you are still playing it.

Nice to see the Republic Commandos confirmed, and the other stuff. But yeah, lack of Starfighter Assault attention is a shame.

I still need to out in more time on BF2. Played in Capital Supremecy again the other night and was quite pleased to have a go in the N-1, well - several unsuccessful flights as the airspace was dominated by a single Hyena that tore me to pieces in seconds of being in weapons range!

With BF2, I really think they should just chuck in all of the ships they can. There's plenty of scope within the set classes and hero varieties to accommodate them.

@RogerRoger I'm truly enjoying Capitol Supremacy. It is the closest to the old school battlefront games of capturing nodes. I would like a bigger choice in eras though to allow for the other Jedi to be involved. At least with the 3x xp this last week I was able to get all my clone war heros to blue cards.

@RogerRoger OOh, I haven't even tried that mode! After a busy weekend of being social and *shudder - outside, I'm going to try ad get some game time in this week.

I'd call that the most satisfying mode in the game so far. Suffer the loading, then a few quick fire rounds of dogfighting goodness!

@RogerRoger Yeah. I found that I'd just swing either left or right immediately and punch it to come in from the side.
Did alright using Tallie Lintra's RZ-2. Nice bit of stealth shenanigans in the Scimitar too.

I haven't tried Ewok Hunt either. I'll give it a go at some point.

Poe's pretty OP I think - even for a hero ship. I've not been great with the A-Wings in Starfighter Assault, but it's a pretty good ship. Her AoE heal ability is pretty useful too.

I did not do well when I tried the N-1 though. Not at all!

@RogerRoger That's true - I quite like the ARC-170, it packs a good punch - and it sounds great.

Third mostly. I drop in to first person on occasion - either feeling cocky or just for the nice view. Because everything is so nicely rendered, the light interacting with the canopies looks brilliant - but quite difficult to see through sometimes.

@RogerRoger Ewok Hunt on a big tv with the lights off is terrifying. Especially as you're locked to 1st person!

I'd never looked in to Ewok hunt. Is it always set at night?
