@johncalmc Anything with a shoegaze soundtrack seems worthwhile to me. Definitely going to check that out now.

@nessisonett Also if you don't want to buy the game which is like four quid or something and is not even a game and is basically as interactive as a DVD menu then you can just listen to the album on Spotify. The aritst is Red Ribbon and honestly I've been listening to the album for a couple of days now off the back of this game and I like it a lot.

@johncalmc I've never heard of the sub genre but listened to plenty similar stuff.

@colonelkilgore ya it's a mad grind but I figured since I haven't touched a wrestling game whatsoever in over 20 years I'll dedicate some time to it and it's pretty fun... Loading times are absolutely brutal though, and I'm on PS5, it's legit the worst loading game I've played on PS5 so far. It's that bad and loading screens galore... Not sure what happened there. Aside from that it is fun to play and laugh at all the cheesiness of the wrestling world.

I tend to go for long plats when the game is good cause I know I'll keep playing it's just some trophies need online servers and I'm guessing servers for wwe games don't stay up forever.

I think sifu will be my 23rd couldn't for the life of me beat the game under 25 years old and I tried sooooo much.. with difficulty options now I think I'll go for it same with returnal both games I love but getting older hard ass games get less and less appealing 😂

@MaulTsir
Good stuff. I'm guessing the Spongebob one was somewhat less than 150 hours?

@colonelkilgore
I don't think your gonna slow down when you reach 100!

@sorteddan ‘best laid plans and all that…’ nah I will slow down at least a bit. I’m in a bit of a rush atm as I want God of War: Ragnarok to be my 100th (and I want to play it at release)… so once that’s done I have a few long plats that I’ve shuffled back on the schedule.

@sorteddan @MaulTsir more plats for the Plat Gods! Congrats gents, especially the AC Odyssey one, those games a big time sinks.

@johncalmc sounds interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out for it as I do like narrative heavy games that make you think. Ones with good soundtracks are even better.

@colonelkilgore @WCB thanks, Oddesy is a 70 to 80 hour game with out all the side stuff so the getting the plat probably added an extra 20+ hours, I did actually really enjoy the game though so it was just a case of making time to get those grindy trophies when and where I could. Probably my biggest plat I've got to be honest.

@render @sorteddan Spongebob is a decent little platformer, nothing special but you get most of the trophies for completing the game so just a case of mopping the collectibles. More of a time filler game or a break game if you have a big game going. Definitely not 150 hours 🤣 infact I just checked and only out 13 hours in so not bad at all!

@RogerRoger thanks, probably be a dry spell for about 6 months now I'm not the most active of trophy hunters 🤣

@MaulTsir great game! I enjoyed it so much that I bought up the whole AC series and am slowly working my way through the whole saga. Brilliant DLC too.

@colonelkilgore I played the original 3 back when they where released but then the 4th put me off the series so never played one until Origins which I really enjoyed but Oddesy was brilliant I did all the DLC, I will give Valhalla a shot at some point

So I see they’ve added Tribes of Midgard to ps+ this month. I’d already picked it up on one sale or another but it was so far down the list of priorities that I might never have ended up playing it… until now maybe.

There’s one trophy that requires multiplayer (reviving each other) if anyone fancies popping that one trophy (so that the plat will be achievable at any time thereafter) give me a shout.

I'm heard some chatter that with the SE sale to the Embracer Group it might be a good idea to tackle any of the games online trophies sooner rather than later, as maybe the servers will be affected with the studios moving shop.

@colonelkilgore I am interested in giving this a go, I picked it up on plus and vaguely remember some reviews when it came out saying it was a decent enough game, I am unsure how heavily the game relies on multiplayer though.

I'm also really interested in try curse of the dead gods probably give it ago before I attempt Hades.

@MaulTsir well from what I gather you can pop every single Tribes of Midgard trophy solo apart from the one that involves reviving another player. If you do give it a go and we’ll bust out that particular trophy on each of our profiles right quick. 👍

Yeah I’ve heard good things about Curse of the Dead Gods too, supposed to be a helluva platinum mind 😉

Platinum 87 - The Division 2 - this one tested me on so many levels other than gaming. It kinda became my Platinum Trophy nemesis… and I’m so glad to close the book on this one!

@colonelkilgore Nice one, congrats on defeating your nemesis 🥳. What was the hardest trophy on the list?

@colonelkilgore congrats, that's a good one, I loved the division 2, but not enough to put my self through that 🤣

So I went back and cleaned up a few DLC trophies in Marvel's Spider-Man for the 100%. When I got the plat I went straight into all the DLC, so by the end I was getting sick of all the crimes and bases, plus those Screwball missions were screwing with me, so I just saw out the story and deleted it. Having a big break worked wonders because it was a blast to jump back in and zip around the city once again. This time I crushed Screwball's games and crashed her party. Feels good fam.

@WCB @render @MaulTsir cheers guys.

@render it wasnt so much that any trophies were difficult... just real grindy and in some cases the goalposts have been moved since the games release (& the trophy description).

My issues were with friends dropping out and having to grind away solo. I had two co-op partners drop after only one session each (one at the start if the normal playthrough and one at the start of the hard as nails playthrough). And it's not a game for solo... gets real boring, real quick... and is quite a bit tougher in solo too.
