@AgentCooper Oooh nice haul although I won't say what my total is and let's just say that I probably did 50 this year.
Enjoy your ping free new year.

A few of my favourites were ...
Dead Nation (so pleased to get this after almost ten years and all thanks to the PushSq community for giving me the incentive to return to what I thought was unachievable).
Demon's Souls Took me back to the old PS3 days.
Riders republic Such great fun and an improvement over Steep. Happy Xmas Ubisoft, don't let the doubters get you down.
Dead space. Took me back to the old PS3 days.
Witcher 3 PS5 Still a fantastic Rpg and can't believe I've plated it three times. Bonkers.

Happy Christmas trophy hunters.

I got to 110 with Bluey. It was fun and felt like it captured the spirit of the show.

So far this year I have attained 47 lovely shiny platinum trophies (I may still have time for one or two more before the year is done).
My favourites were Deaths Door, Arcade Paradise and Days Gone.
I was especially happy to finish Helldivers around six years after first playing it!
My least favourite was the massive grind that was Grid.

And of course a happy Festivus for all the frequenters of the trophy thread.

@sorteddan I loved Days Gone, so much so that I went for 100% even though I hate score based challenges as repeating the same thing over and over is the definition of insanity.
Just shout if you need some tips for the challenges, assuming you didn't do them.

After getting the Lake PS4 platinum, I'm now up to 112 platinums. My original plan to stack it is no longer on the table.

14 plats this year. Not had much time to play, and the huge time sinks of pioneers of olive town an Ys 9 cut down on my number. Still, up to 138 now so in 2024 I’ll get up to my 150. Still need to get my Ishin and Gaiden plats to keep my Yakuza collection up to date but will aim for 20. First two Resi 4 VR and FFX, which I’ve already started.

I don’t really go for plats unless I’m really enjoying a game. Right now I’m playing Kingdoms of Amalur. I like it quite a bit, and the platinum is in reach, but finding every lorestone is the biggest hurdle. I also don’t like looking at guides, but I probably will with that trophy.

First plat of 2024 and plat number 25 is Spider-man 2.

Absolutely fantastic game, one I couldn't put down once I started it.

First trophy of 2024 was… “Twin Flames” in FF16. A common story based bronze. 😴

Hey everyone, it's been a while, Happy New Year ! I've been abroad for a few months and haven't touched the console since then. So I decided to get back into it with small easy games from PS Plus Extra, I've been lazy.

#364 Telling Lies - A FMW adventure that I... didn't get into. But I see the potential. Just not my thing.

#365 Call of the Sea - A walking simulator with puzzles, Lovecraft inspired. Nice, not great.

#366 The Artful Escape - What an experience ! Not much gameplay, but a visual treat, it was crazy.

#367 The Gardens Between - Interesting time mechanics, pretty good but it looks like a mobile game.

#368 The Light in the Darkness - Oh this one... Low budget but it's a free game on a very hard subject. The story is compelling but the game is just bad.

#369 Unpacking - Very original concept, I enjoyed it way more than I should've.

#370 Lost Words : Beyond the Page - The "journal" part is very good and well-made, the normal part is just average. Nothing memorable.

#371 Superliminal - Really liked this one to be honest ! A lot of nonsense but interesting mechanics. And let's say it was the least easy of them all.

So yeah, big numbers to catch up on lost time ! I'll go back on bigger games, I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima and Sackboy.

Platinum trophy #95 Immortals Fenyx Rising.

As someone that hates puzzles this was like pulling teeth. I did enjoy the game when I wasn't getting frustrated with yet another puzzle.

#199 Cult of the Lamb (PS5)

Good fun. Enjoyed the dungeon crawling hack n slash more than the cult management side of it but a decent effort that's kept me occupied for the last few weeks. Was slightly miffed that the free DLC updates have made the platinum a bit more long winded to obtain but nothing too difficult. The trophies for beating bosses without taking any damage were the only real challenge.

I will probably spend a couple more hours going for all the relics for full 100% on the trophy list.

@Splat Nice, I gave up with Immortal which is a shame as I was enjoying it until some level with floating islands.

@sorteddan Nice, that is on my list to buy.

I'm playing Yakuza like a dragon and have one trophy left, I said I wouldn't go for the plat as it is a bit of a grind and drag to get that last trophy but you know what, I did most of the grind and am at a position to give the final dungeon a go.
This has been my first Yakuza game that I have completed (story at least), I do like the Yakuza stories and characters but can't stand the combat however with LAD and it's turn based combat which I find good fun.
EDIT And done. Just under 100 hours all in, 4.5/10 difficulty. The battles for the final trophy included some next level BS, completed it on run number two after being killed in the first fight...the early fights are some of the worst.

@sorteddan Cult is a great game. Using the cloak to increased damage until you get hit makes the bosses much easier but getting hit by a minion right before the boss fight is the most frustrating thing ever. Some of the new content looks fun but not enough to make me go back to the game.

@CaptD that final dungeon run is brutal but at least you don’t have to redo the whole thing if you lose at the last fight. It took me a few goes to beat that fight as sometimes you just get unlucky. One of the “easiest” Yakuza platinums going though!

@Thrillho
Oh yeah, it was that great jeopardy of whether to kill a few more easy dudes for extra % or just go for the boss. I had previously failed on the last one maybe half a dozen times and ended up doing it with more than 500% damage bonus!

#200 Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 (PS4)
Well I knew the double hundo was coming up and knew the first plat on this profile was Lego Marvel Super Heroes back in July 2014 on PS3 (think I played through most of that with my nephew when he was much younger) so when I saw the sequel going for a few quids in a sale I thought it would be an apt title to reach the milestone with.

As ever with Lego games a simple enough shiny but a heck of a grind to get 100%. Somewhere in the 50 hour region.
Happy with that. Looking forward to the next 200!

CaptD

@sorteddan Nice. I'm tempted to download Lego City Undercover which has just appeared on Extra.

My latest is Tinykin. 2/10 difficulty and 10 hours.
Really enjoyed this, great little game, very relax and chill game with good music.
It is very much a collectathon, you do have to collect EVERY kin and piece of gold so it is best to collect every item before moving on to the next level and there is no radar/detector feature.

CaptD

Voltan

Can't get the Prince of Persia platinum because one side quests is bugged.
Good old Ubisoft, always can count on them to do this.

Voltan

CaptD

@Voltah Yeah Ubisoft has a shocking reputation for glitchy trophies.

My latest platinum is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (on Extra)
I wasn't going to play this because I didn't fancy the grind and the last Borderlands game didn't stay on Extra very long and I don't like being under the clock plus reviews just didn't look good.
Anyway I really enjoyed this, the gunplay feels great and there are some good spells, lots of fire and sparks raining down.
Difficulty 4.5 , time 35 hours. The grind wasn't an issue, the last trophy (chaos trials) amounts to completing 3 runs rather than 20 as noted in the trophy guides so I guess this aspect has been changed.
So overall the easiest and less grindest Borderlands game I've played.
