@colonelkilgore Great stuff. Any chance you could help me with one of those, I started it and my coop partner disappeared, as if by magic. And you know how much I hate an unplatinumed game.
@colonelkilgore Cheers dude, it is We Were Here.
I see they have just released Expeditions for free on psn, free until 13 oct. That is an FYI comment more than anything.
Ps. Gonna download SAints row and Gen Zero. Also up for Shadow warrior 2 whenever you want.
No rush for anything as I might be popping heads next week in Sniper Ghost Contracts 2
Scarlet Nexus. Not bad but requiring a second playthrough was a bit tiresome. 2/10 difficulty (I played it on very easy as the HP of the enemies was way ott), Around 35 hours, story was pretty interesting, no missable trophies but lots of tedious busy work (seriously how many presents do I have to give out).
Lost words beyond the page. 2/10 difficulty and about 5 hours. Nothing missable and collectibles are fairly easy to locate.
A delightful , chill out game with a fairly nondescript story but was well told.
@CaptD congrats on the one-two there, I have heard that Scarlet Nexus plays extremely similar to its stablemate Tales of Arise, which I liked a fair bit. Thankfully Tales… didn’t require a second playthrough though 😅.
Haven’t heard of Lost Words Beyond… might have to check that out 🤔
Platinum #48 is Chicory - just in time before it's taken off PS+
Very nice game with a ton of optional collectibles to find (all of which are required for the plat).
I used a guide for the last few (there are some that aren't visible until you stand near them) but the in-game systems (calling your parents for hints and a couple NPCs telling you in which regions you're still missing stuff) were enough to get most.
@Voltan@Thrillho congrats guys. Really enjoyed my time in the Forbidden West and am thinking about starting Chicory this week funnily enough… hopefully I’ll like it as much as everyone else who has played it.
@Thrillho Yeah, that's exactly it.
Mom's like "maybe you should look for brushes", and then Dad comes in with "if you go 1 screen down and 2 screens left, there's one right there!"
While at it:
Platinum #49: Sea of Stars
I could do without the final trophy for beating bosses with a debuff (done in NG+, wasn't even hard) but I think the 2nd ending is worth getting most others alone.
Unlocked 9 trophies at once when I finished the game. Probably the most I’ve ever unlocked at one time. I didn’t like that this game had so many collectibles. I would of liked to of played through the story without having to worry I might of missed something.
#185 Days Gone
18 days have gone since I got the first trophy. 58 hours. Lots of dead zombies scattered around Oregon. I enjoyed it more than I thought I might.
“We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.”
@DisastrousFalcon
Good stuff. Though if you've done the first three you may as well... And I think I skipped the brutal runs on all three as well -glad it wasn't needed for the shiny.
@sorteddan Great stuff. This was one of my favourite games from last gen yet when it was announced I thought "meh, another chase me chase me zombie game. Pass". Then those awful reviews went out and so I didn't play the game until the ps5 turned up.
I managed to get 100% in the game which is something because I hate score challenge modes in games but I pushed through it and you can too.
@DisastrousFalcon Congrats. Yeah I heard brutal is terribly unbalanced and frankly unplayable. I wish they had gone a slightly different way, crushing but with fewer items etc..
I haven't managed Brutal but if I ever do it then I will use the glitch to enable cheats.
My two platinums are..
Unpacking. I didn't like this game, it was tedious and boring...just like the real thing. The game has been very well received so perhaps it is more a me thing. 1/10 difficulty, 3 hours.
Saints row reboot. Now this game was not as bad as everyone makes out, the characters weren't as awful as shown in the previews and I did actually smile at some of the jokes.
The world is the star here but the last gen engine (probably actually prev prev gen) meant that pop in was bad and everything had a very early PS4 or even PS3 feel.
Story and missions were okay but some activity missions were painful and often required you to do it X number of times.
Enjoyment 6.5/10. 3/10 difficulty and about 35 hours.
Top tip...do not pick up any "discovery" collectibles until you find them all for a district. They disappear when picked up and so you won't know which you have picked up.
Second tip. If you see something with a purple metallic sheen then photograph it as it will help in the collectible run.
@DisastrousFalcon a nice hat trick. I’m slowly working my way through the trilogy myself (only plat’d the original so far but should make time for the second one soon) and have been surprised by how much I’m enjoying the franchise.
@sorteddan yeah Days Gone got such a bad rap that a lot of people decided not to give it a shot, which is a minor travesty… one of my favourite PS4 games!
@CaptD made short work of that (Saints Row that is), that’s some impressive efficiency.
@CaptD
Good to know you have faith in me 😁
But I'm not sure I'll bother going for the 100% - playing after the platinum feels a bit like running home after running the race. I'll keep it installed for a bit though in case I feel like going back.
Disappointed to hear your thoughts on Unpacking, probably the first negative thing I've heard about it. It's one of those I'd probably pick up for a few quid in a future sale. Better to hear you enjoyed the Saints Row reboot, I claimed it and will probably get to it later this year.
@colonelkilgore
Well then that makes at least three of us who really enjoyed Days Gone, hopefully some other visitors to this page will pick up on the love and give it a chance in future.

Call of the sea (on Extra).
Difficulty 1/10 and about 5 hours. A decent walking simulator broken up with puzzles. Easy platinum but game is full of missables.
Sniper ghost warrior contracts 2 (on Extra). Slight porkies here as I still have one trophy to go but it is a simple one to grind out challenges (whack 10 people with pistols etc..).
Difficulty 3/10. Enjoyment 7.5/10.
Really enjoyed this but very much a AA game with a few little glitches here and there. I didn't experience any crashes on ps5 version but people have mentioned it and that it has corrupted their save, so take frequent backups and turn off auto sync.
Fun platinum and a very underrated sniping game with the emphasis on sniping as detection will cause you issues and hilarity with people with deadeye aim over 2km away with their assault rifles but tbh it would break the game if that didn't happen...shooting fish in a barrel and all that.
Highly recommended if the genre is your bag.
