@TheNomadLad Heart of Stone is a great story but Blood and Wine just had some great comedic moments, introduced some fun new character (or re-introduced some old ones if you had played the previous games), but also had one of my favourite sequences of the whole game towards the end.

I also played them both a long time after finishing the base game so it took me a while to get back into things with my end-game character, and particularly because they had introduced enemy scaling at the point too!

@Thrillho yea i'm really enjoying the story of Hearts of Stone and how i found myself rooting for the "villain" at some point after i've thought i really hated the guy.
But i heard that Blood and Wine allows us to buy a house and decorate it and stuff, i dunno if i should be excited about this or not though, guess i'll have to wait and see after i finish Hearts of Stone.

@Z390 I don't know about Nioh 2, but i can't imagine it's any easier than Nioh 1.
Sad story, i can't get past Onryoki in Nioh 1
I'm really bad at this i guess.
I can't believe i'm thinking about deleting the game again.

Congrats on the Ghostwire… plat @Lavalera, how was it? I quite like the look of the game myself but I don’t know if it’s worth me re-jigging the schedule to fit it in.

@colonelkilgore Thanks m8. It's a hit or miss game. That was also visible in the review scores which were all over the place. I can understand the criticism that the combat can feel much of the same after a while, but that didn't really bother me at all. The charm for me was the whole Japanese folklore setting. Everything in that game you encounter is based on Japanese folklore and that's what made the game interesting for me. What i liked most was running around collecting stuff, trying to sneak on the baddies and killing them that way or just avoiding them all together and stroll around on the rooftops collecting spirits.
If you don't really want to trophy it, the story can be done in like 15-20 hours, which in my opinion is a bit short to pay full price for. But with the platinum it took me about 70 hours to complete it.
So it's all about if you like strolling around in a world collecting stuff or not.
If you're on the fence about it or don't have time for it now, maybe wait for a sale later on then, since this game won't resonate with everyone i can understand it's a risk to pay full price for.

@Lavalera cheers for the infodump. It sounds like some crazy Japanese supernatural version of Farcry… which would be good as far as I’m concerned, as I quite like the Farcry games.

Just wandering around cleaning up the riddles in Arkham Knight before I go off to confront Scarecrow. It may take me a while. I have to say though, the Season of Infamy DLC missions were really great and the way they seamlessly slot into a normal playthrough works wonders. I just wish I didn’t have to do New Game + in order to get the platinum, at this rate it’ll be the only trophy I need!

@nessisonett Are you playing the version that comes with the PS Plus Collection? Just wondering if that comes with the DLC included. If I give the game another try then it will be through the Collection as I sold back my copy of the game.

Still grinding to advance in Kena Bridge of Spirits Master difficulty. Seriously, graphics are cute but most fights, not so much.

@Th3solution No, I think I got it on PS Plus a few years back already so I’m not sure if that had the DLC included or if I picked it up for cheap in a sale along the way.

Started playing Judgment yesterday after getting a craving for some Yakuza. The game feels very familiar as a Yakuza player but the structure of the story is completely different and it honestly feels like a realistic version of Ace Attorney. You take on murder cases, investigate by talking with people and gathering evidence, submit evidence sometimes in order to progress and so on. I didn't expect the structure to be this different but it's quite refreshing actually. Sadly, it doesn't seem like there's much to do in Kamurocho as a lot of places aren't accessible, such as karaoke. And you're doing a lot of running around in this game, so I do have to wonder if it'll manage to keep my interest up 10-20 hours into the playthrough.

All in all though, I am enjoying my time with Judgment but it remains to be seen if the game will open up more later on and if I'll still be doing the same things in each chapter.

@LtSarge Judgment has the least amount of interesting side content of the yakuza games imo. Next to the standard darts, baseball and Sega minigames, there is drone racing and a in game vr board game type game called paradise vr. Sadly no karaoke or management sim games like on the mainline games. I still enjoyed the game very much mainly because it was so different from the mainline games but still felt like the same world, so still had the same feel for me. Lost Judgment does a lot better on the side content, has the same options as judgment and a few more, but also no karaoke sadly. For a new batch of karaoke I guess we have to wait for yakuza 8

@Lavalera Ah thanks for confirming that just so that I'll keep my expectations low for the remainder of my playthrough. It seems that the focus is mainly on the story, which is fine since I tend to skip most side stuff but I still enjoyed the occasional karaoke from time to time. It's good to know though that Like a Dragon seems to preserve side activities like karaoke, so at least I'll have that game to look forward to.

@LtSarge I played Judg(e)meant earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. I still thought there was enough to do and the variety of friend making mechanics is fun, I really liked the side cases in place of the sub stories, and the overall story was one of the best in the series for me.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Thrillho

LtSarge

@Thrillho Yeah, I think I just need to play more for it to open up with more side cases because one of the things I love about the Yakuza games is the sub stories. So I'm definitely looking forward to those as I believe there are 50 of them in the game.

LtSarge

Thrillho

@LtSarge They unlock steadily through the game and they pretty much all have some story to them, whereas some substories could be quite forgettable.

Spyro the Dragon. I didn't realize this was made by Insomniac until I looked it up after I started playing it, mainly because Activision gives them 0 credit since it's technically a remake. That would explain why the beginning of the game reminded me of a Ratchet & Clank game though. I'll also state the obvious and say I never played any of the series before.

Just finishing up the last few trophies on Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottle, I've enjoyed this alot more than I thought I would of and you get most trophies by just playing the game so doesn't seem to much of a chore to stick around for the last few.

Also still playing through Mass Effect 3, done the Omega DLC for the first Time as I never did any back when the games first released.

Rayman Legends. I'll be playing online challenges every day until I get the platinum trophy. It'll take at least a few months, but I'll get there.
