Okay, I know they are different genres, but which would you prefer out of Titanfall 2 or Steep, both look to be releasing this fall.

I personally really like the look of Steep, but I was going to get Watch Dogs 2 anyways, so I'm not sure if you would really want two games from the same publishing label.

I also like the look of Titanfall 2 as it is the first TF game of the IP on PS4, so it would be worth trying. Also, EA have said that all maps and dlc packs will be free, so I guess you do essentially get a free season pass.

I wound prefer Steep, however, I don't feel it would be worth it at full price, wheras Titanfall 2 probably would be.

Which do you prefer?

@SPGFan34: well i played the original Titanfall, it wasn't the good to be fair so i have no interest in the second

as for Steep, you know what that actually looks quite interesting but like you i don't think it's a full price game either

so really neither but if i HAVE to pick one then Steep

@SPGFan34: Personally I really enjoyed Titanfall initially. The game-play was great and as a person who really enjoys FPS's it hit all the right notes. However over time, I did find it got very limited - the game-modes seemed very similar - just 1 that was really any different. Regeneration (levelling like prestige in CoD) was very frustrating/annoying. Lake of variety in the weapons and customisation also limited the game-play - it wasn't very long before you felt you had seen everything, tried everything etc and the lack of SP also impacted on the game and its context. Visually it was impressive and the 'core' of it was great but there wasn't enough to last - which also impacted on the DLC and features added after launch - by the time it arrived, most had already left.

Jumping forward to TF2, It seems that most (if not all) of the issues the first suffered from have been addressed. Because I prefer my FPS games to be more towards the 'arcade' side, it appeals more than BF1 - BF1 looks good but probably better to play in a group and have concerns of the SP after the last 2 BF games.

I maybe biased but I think I will get a lot more mileage out of TF2 than Steep.

A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

@FullbringIchigo: Yeah, it's because i normally buy games at GAME and so it would cost nearly 45 to buy Steep at full price, which doesn't seem worth it for a side game to Watch Dogs 2. But, if i got some vouchers for Christmas, would it be worth around 30? Or, if i waited until the summer months, would it be worth 25? Also, i'm not sure if i would want two games from the same publisher at Christmas time? But Steep looks like the better game to me at the moment.

@BAMozzy: It might also be worth mentioning that i don't usually play many FPS games.

Wait for both and buy Southpark lol.

Personally I'm waiting on reviews of both. Titanfall 1 was bare bones, steep could be an Assasins creed reskin.....

For me both are looking great... but I would want to find out about that gameplay mechanics of Steep to make sure that the difficulty does not come from the controls but that speed of what you are doing.

If you are just fighting the controller to stay on course... then I think I will skip steep... but that said both are so different that they are both worthy of a pick up...
