@nessisonett What do you mean by obsolete? The discs themselves?
I think that instant loading off of a disc is magnificent! And I will always prefer to have my games on disc, so that I KNOW that I'll always be able to play them when I choose to. That's why backwards compatibility is so important to me.
@Unlucky13 Used to be that you bought a disc and it played off the disc. Now you buy a disc and it has to install loads of data PSP style before you can even play it. At that rate, it’s practically a download with a box and a disc prone to deteriorating.
@nessisonett I understand that discs can deteriorate sometimes. But, if you keep them in their original package, out of sunlight, and in AC, you should generally be ok. I have PS3 games from almost 15 years ago that my kids still play all the time. And I have a bunch of PS2 games that I know work, but I have no way to play them any longer due to the lack of backwards compatibility.
If nothing else, its piece of mind that the thing that I have bought will be able to be used for as long as I take care of it.
Just wanted to say I've been playing Valhalla for roughly 10hrs now. I've had a very brief stutter once and that's all, its run perfectly other than that.
One thing I love about this game is how many Skyrim vibes it gives me! The little sound effects and noises remind me so much of it.
@BaronSqwelch maybe I got your trophies because at the very beginning of the game it gave me a couple I didn't earn, including a story arc I haven't even started lol
@Mega-Gazz It really is quite good. The changes they have made to the map makes wandering around mopping up side quests much more organic and enjoyable. I'm not sure why as it's just another way of presenting the same info. I'm not usually a fan of Ubi's AAA games, but they did a fine job with this one.
I have jumped back in to AC Valhalla after exiting early, probably for another shiny new game. I am enjoying it. I explored out a bit and now working on a few river raids. At first my vikings were dying to much and it was annoying to try and revive them all the time. I thought what if I just jump the boat before I start the raid. That made it way more fun and for me more of an AC game. I would go though many raiding spots and kill all the troops then call a raid to have help with the chests. I discovered however that the enemies respawn between raiding sites. So it became: jump ship, kill all enemies, call raid to open chests move on down the river and repeat. I wanted to do it the more viking way, but having so many of my vikings die all the time took most of the fun away. Now I just need more monasteries to get those elusive raw materials.
