@colonelkilgore oh wow, I didn’t know about the cap, so I must still be under it. 😄
Sometimes I use the wishlist to give me a reminder about lesser known games that I saw something interesting about and don’t want to forget. So that game Still Wakes the Deep is an example that I just placed on my wishlist just because I liked Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and so I want to keep an eye on their new one. Similar for Praey for the Gods, and a few others that fly under the radar fairly quickly.

@Th3solution it’s a great function fair play. I used to have a written list of games and every time a new sale started, I’d cross reference each game to see if it’d been reduced. The wishlist has saved me so much time, paper and ink 😅
So, as we now know, no PS5 review codes have been sent to the lovely PushSquare writers.
Although I'm super skeptical, I will say it must at least run to some extent on PS5, right? As they didn't go with a full delay like they did with Xbox.
Hopefully at some point down the line it's a game that can hit at least a solid 40fps on PS5 without losing too much polish. But who knows. I was looking forward to seeing the difference between PC and PS5 for this, as a sign of whether the Pro is desperately needed, as this Gen has clearly been one of cross gen releases, followed by games that can't even be handled by the current gen consoles. Which seems a very weird mix.
At first I was like "yay, finally, a new action game that isnt a Souls like!" but then apparently its still brutally difficult anyway with no difficulty options so RIP. Maybe the next one.
From what I gathered from the reviews so far - it is a pretty linear boss rush with little exploration or environment interactivity. And it has some major optimalisation issues even on strong PCs so patches will probably be required on all platforms.
I'm going to patiently wait for now.
@Pizzamorg It seems to be easier than a typical soulslike but it can apparently be pretty frustrating because of how the resting/respawning places are positioned (e.g. sometimes very far away from bosses).
I've become really intrigued by this in the last week or so... very keen for the reviews.
I like the fact that there aren't difficulty settings - as I'd genuinely prefer to play a game as the devs intended, irrespective of it being considered 'easy' or 'hard'.
I quite like the way it is being described as a boss rush also.... I'm all in on linearity at the moment, bit burnt out on open-world after Erdtree and such
I like what I've seen of it and what people have said about it. I will get round to it eventually, but would like to play Lies of P, Lords of Fallen and Stellar Blad first. Hopefully any issues with the PS5 version will have be sorted by then.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Seems decent so far. I'm playing in Quality Mode and it's been a fairly smooth experience. I'm finding the game quite difficult. I hope I've not bitten off more than I can chew!

That's one of my concerns, too. I'm pretty average at gaming, I started in my forties and I don't have great reflexes or coordination. I've never even tried playing a Fromsoftware game or any other soulslike. The closest I got was playing the Jedi games and the demo for Stellarblade. I have no problem with trying multiple times to beat a boss but I wouldn't want to end up in a situation where I get a game and then I'm permanently stuck, no matter how many times I try.
Good that people seem to be loving it, overall, so far. Weird that they didn't send out PS5 copies in the end if it is getting love.
It still doesn't feel like a game I'm going to rush to get, like Elden Ring or BG3 did on release day, and despite me saying multiple times what games need more of is massive, impressive boss fights, I do also like exploration and story in games.
I also think I may have bossed myself out by playing so much ER, FF16 and DD2 that I can't be bothered to go for another boss fighting game right now 😅
I’m looking forward to this one. I know difficulty is going to be an issue, but I always seem to manage once I get accustomed to the game. Hopefully, the game lives up the hype, and the positive reception the game is receiving. If only we had solid PS5 (p)reviews.

I started it yesterday. I'm having fun but I suck at the game so much I needed around 15 attempts to beat one of the very first bossess of the game. It's pretty embarassing, tbh, but I'm determined to soldier on
I’m 3/4th of the way through chapter 2 and finding the game to be incredible. I just beat the Tiger Vanguard and subsequently the Stone Vanguard. The former was one of the coolest boss fights I’ve experienced.
