@kyleforrester87 I've still yet to face the first main boss but have beaten three of the mini type bosses. And upgraded my weapon to +3 and my bow to +1. Not upgraded my flasks yet and kinda wish I chose a golden seed as my starting gift. But I did find the merchant on the beach and got something to reduce potion, so I can go back and give the side dungeon I unlocked right at the start of the game after the tutorial cave.

@johncalmc Nope, top left as in far far top left. Outside the bounds of the map you start with and now I have a huge square map which makes Limgrave look tiny in comparison.

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, he was one of the first people I met actually just from the direction I went at the start of the game. And I’m fairly certain it’s the same voice actor!

@nessisonett Wow, okay. I went through a portal thing that transported me to the top right of an expanded map - double the size of the original map. The map has since expanded again and that top right is now middle right so I don't have a clue what's going on. It just keeps expanding. It never ends. And I keep seeing things off in the distance - like WAY off - and thinking, surely not, are we gonna end up there? It's really quite a special game.

@johncalmc Might just see how far I can go without ever going back to the castle 😂

@johncalmc I’m at the northern most point I can go and there seems to be a boss guarding access to what looks like even more map. This game is enormous 😂

My journey thus far has been completely enthralling and, judging by the bit that I’ve read here, so unique. It’s pretty cool when a game can create an adventure that is so wholly your own.

@johncalmc I found that teleporter you meant that brought me to the upper right of the bit next to Limgrave too. Did you find it accidentally? The guy in Roundtable Hold put it on my map after I showed him something I got in a dungeon.

@nessisonett I found it totally accidentally. I was just wandering about, saw a thing, examined it, and next thing I knew I was over the other side of the map in a weird place. It's an excellent levelling up spot though.

A lot of minibosses in the open world. I stumbled on some town after a dude warned me about it, discovered the enemies there don't die, then realized death was paddling around in a little canoe, and he was the one I needed to slay. Pretty easy battle, but conceptually neat.

Now I'm going through the castle. Not a fan of giant birds with knives on their feet.

@CJD87 Thank you, that was a great tip. I actually found the exact spot you mentioned (after fighting past some weird octopus thing in a swamp).

Think I’m finally going to do the castle. +5 greatsword using the sombre stones and 9 flasks might be a bit overkill 😂

Still just exploring the open world. Have 3 dungeons completed. I haven't found the round table hub yet. I also just discovered the unsheathe ability for my samurai lol. It makes fighting way easier.

Make sure to visit patches and buy Margit’s shackle. It binds the first boss to the ground and let’s you and your dogs get free hits

@Mega-Gazz Ahh, of course, I was going to grind runes for it but totally forgot!

@Elodin Same here with Unsheath. Its making mincemeat of most enemies and staggers even those large troll enemies.

Today's journey so far has lead to beating a mad thing on a bridge, who really didn't like what was stuck in it's head. And freeing Alexander, a huge talking cauldron! 😂 I think it is voiced by the same bloke as onion knight. What do you reckon @nessisonett?

I almost beat Margit and had got them down to the last quarter of their health with two wolves and 5 flasks and they straight up hit me with a hammer attack that felt like it glitched me half way over the bridge and off the edge. I need a break lol! I found my favourite thing so far, some of the mini-dungeons might not be so mini! . I'm actually starting to take physical notes to keep track of side quests and things npcs are dropping hints about. The sense of discovery is so good

Anyone else notice that you don’t always get all your runes back when you retrieve them? Omen killing me in stormveil courtyard returns 2/3rd of them
