@RogerRoger You always kill the mood anytime we see your name.
Seriously though, it's not a big deal. Not everybody is going to love the same games as much as I or somebody else does. Obviously it's nice to see a game you highly enjoy get plenty of love, but it is what it is.
I'm glad you are enjoying it a lot more than you were before though. I'm also glad my expectations can't be raised any higher than they were leading up to the release since if what to come for me is a lot better than what I've experienced (obviously it would be, but you get the idea), then I'd probably be left speechless.

@lolwhatno Love random things like that. HFW has just a few of those so far but can you remember how many we had from Cyberpunk 1 week after release, the internet was flooded with them ๐
@RogerRoger Wow mate, you powered through that. Nice one! I haven't finished the main story yet so haven't looked at what's under your spoiler tags but I would like to get into the conversation about that so might have to push on with that in the next couple of days.
Lockdown dev wise though it's interesting you raise that as it's one of the things that I feel I struggle with in this game anyway. Aloy has this habit of mentioning stuff when she's near things but it's not always in eyeshot or you might have been doing a quick sweep of the area and so didn't see what she was talking about particularly. I've found I've not been quick enough to catch these quite often so I ended up putting the subtitles on and making them bigger so that at least it persists on the screen a bit longer. Aloy and the NPCs also have an annoying knack of talking over each other one character might start saying something while you are walking only for you to reach a checkpoint where that triggers another character to say something else. I remember this being there in the first game as well so it's nothing new but just catches me out from time to time.
I'm good with the hunting grounds but I'm not enjoying the arena challenges as much as I thought I would. I've got to the one with the slitherfang and that's forced the use of specific kit which I've not really used that much of in the game. I've given it a few goes but it's just a bit frustrating at the moment so will definitely come back to that.
@velio84 That's good to hear I only need that one for the trophy. The one before that one was challenging enough but I swapped some of my equipment out and was able to get it done but this one... it really feels they've gone "You're going to get attacked by a really big robotic snake so here's some things we just found lying around - a pencil, a shoe and a croissant. Good luck!!" ๐
I've got a bugged 'new quest' in Plainsong. The green (!) icon is there but there's no npc or objects to interact with to start it. I hope this won't naff up my platinum.
Finally met Kotallo last night and took down my first Termor Tusk. Awesome game and got a trophy for doing my fourth bandit camp. Looking forward to spending more time with the game this weekend!
@jdv95 Exhilarating, just like most fights in these games. Raveger gun to it's stomach then drill spikes in it's side knocking the big beast over. Freeze bombs whilst it was down and finished off with some well placed arrows. I can't get enough of this game I even love the new combat with humans, Aloy's critical strike finishers are a thing of beauty and so many different animations depending on where you attack from.
@Voltan fair point but that was probably 30 hours ago in game time and possibly a fortnight ago in real time for me. I need to start keeping track of how many days pass in the game by keeping an eye on day/night cycles.
