So it looks like I completed all Hunting Grounds and got the highest rewards on all of the trials too, which I believe is the one thing I haven’t done in Zero Dawn
That last one was kinda tough, not gonna lie.
@jdv95 Oh, I must have done that then, since I got the platinum. Probably just didn’t do it for the DLC? I kinda remember settling for the bronze on some of them rather than going for gold for every single one.
-that random black screen persists even after last update
-still getting occasional pop-in
-one of my salvage contract quests is broken
-frame rate has dipped to unplayable levels on two different play throughs, requiring restart both times
-sooo many objects stuck in other objects
-dry humping while climbing or acting altogether buggy
-sometimes she gets stuck saying something about a particular area even after I've left
-not sure if this is bug but every time i start the game it compares my cloud save to console save and i don't understand why. Couple times they were even in conflict and I'm thinking why are you accessing the cloud? Just load the darn game from my save. Sometimes we're talking about a 15 minutes break. Like, nothing's changed. I went to the bathroom geez.
-and this one isn't a bug but man I really wish there was a toggle for her hints
-also she points stuff out before i feel you've even had a chance to notice it (example: i was exploring a jungle area, climbing a steep cliff. I reach the top and begin looking out over the environment when she asks about some body by a path and I'm like what path we're up on a mountaintop?!) Just seems weird. Wasn't even near the path and she's pointing out details about it before I'm even there.
Anyway love the game but i don't remember the first one being this broken.

If you caught her dry humping, maybe she's just lonely...
It is extremely rare. I notice it maybe once a day, but I do experience the pop-in as well even in Resolution Mode. Like I said, it happens very rarely though.
I've had the save comparison thing happen two or three times so far. It never lasted anywhere near that long though. Maybe 30 seconds tops.
I don't recall any of the other things happening to me yet. Obviously plenty of times glitches pop up for one person and not the other though. As for the first one not having as many glitches, you are probably right. I didn't get Zero Dawn right at launch (maybe a month or two later), but I don't remember anything standing out at all. I will always think the pandemic causing them to have to work from home is the biggest reason why games even from Sony first party studios are buggy when released. Still in better shame than some games though.
My only real issue since I've gotten used to 30 FPS again and crossed off the Performance Mode graphical issues is I wish they actually labeled everything as being completed after you do it. Instead, you get certain things being marked as completed and the rest you have to try to remember on your own (too big of a game to expect that). Not a glitch, but something that was bugging me today as I was doing some side stuff like Firegleam.

@zupertramp man, that’s a long list of issues that you’re having there. Gutted for you as it sounds like it’s really affecting the experience that you’re having. I had the black screen happen around 5-10 times during my playthrough… and minimal pop-in here and there but apart from that was very solid.
@colonelkilgore y'know even with that long a list (and i forgot to mention the firegleam indicators that @KilloWertz pointed out) the glitches still seem fairly spread out and sporadic. To the game's credit I do have a ridiculous amount of hours in already so it's fair I'd see a few in that time.
Also forgot to add I'm playing resolution mode on PS5.
I actually don't remember when I bought the first game but i don't think it was near launch so that could explain my rose-colored view of the original. Like I had a friend at work tell me there was a side quest they could never complete on ZD because they didn't have internet around that time and i guess it was bugged but got fixed with subsequent patch. I never experienced anything like that so who knows.

Just wrapped the game and platinum up. There is literally nothing left for me to do save perhaps a few bits of mist I didn’t clear. Loved the game generally apart from a couple of things I already mentioned. I was really struggling with the arena but the kicker is I checked out the difficulty setting and somehow I must have set it on hard from the start when I’m sure I went with normal. Knocked it down and no problem.
My thoughts on the story are -
The faro’s tomb mission was awesome. It was the biggest question from ZD so was great to finally find out and I think they played it just right. Farro was a d*** and so was Ceo so all worked out for the best.
Really like how they’ve set the next instalment up and it’s interesting to think where they might take it. Sylens has been his usual devious self and I feel his character has a lot more to give. Also like how they managed to leave it with Hephaestus on the loose again as we need those rampaging machines.
And that brings me to the best bit, the flying. I can’t believe we got this but what a great addition. I know it was late on but actually I think it was right doing that as it would have spoiled a lot of the adventuring if you could just fly all over it.
Still feel this is a 9/10 for me and can’t wait for more.
Oops, I got moderated Sorry, PushSquare crew! @RogerRoger I can't say I'm losing any sleep over it but I never considered it could've been a bad call, so that's probably why
@RogerRoger Yeah it’s a shame the spoiler tags don’t work in emails as I’ve been caught out that way a few times.
I agree that it’s definitely preferential to fast travel as you do get to see more of the environments, and importantly the transition between them. It’s a great way to get about and I’m actually disappointed there aren’t more flying missions, but as you mention what great DLC that would make. I’ve used fast travel a lot towards the end of the game as the distances between some of the quests was considerable. It’s a much better feature with the fast SSD on the PS5 than it was on ZD on PS4 though. I’ve still put in 108 hours and have apparently collected over 4500 ridgewood in my stash 😆
Having had time to think about the main story some more I’d agree with the reviews - it doesn’t reach the heights of Zero Dawn but it’s told so much better. For that reason it’s made me feel more positive about the game and I like that it’s tied up some loose ends.
I upgraded some gear and got a legendary armor and now I’m actually starting to feel a little OP lol.
A few last side things to do before I move on with the main quest.
Edit: got some more legendary gear. Game progression at 77%.
@Voltan I went back and bought the legendary gear with my medals. I’m going to slowly upgrade it so that I’m good to go with any DLC. The hunter bow is pretty nice even without upgrades.
