Just beat the first proper boss and wow took me a few goes but got there. Now do I hunt for all the collectables in the first area or move on to the new area, maybe the former just to take in the scenery.
Just finished the game and I really enjoyed it. I was hoping it would be good, but it ended up being better than I expected! It was well paced so I didn’t want to stop playing. There was pretty much nothing I didn’t like about the game… well, maybe there were a few too many things to collect, but I’ve never been a big fan of that type of thing.
@Bentleyma- Nice. I think I might finish it tonight if all goes well. Currently making my way through Heart Of The Village (I think that’s what it’s called).
Edit: Man, I DO NOT want to fight these bosses on Master difficulty 😩
I believe I only have the final boss to go now but I’m missing one final Rot and it’s killing me
Edit: found it!
Edit 2: After several attempts, I got to what I hope is the last phase of the last boss. I had no idea what to do and died. I’ll try again tomorrow.
I also have 3 combat trophies left and I’ll have to go back for them but I think I have a manual save in a good place to get at least 2 of them - if I turn the difficulty down
I just beat the game and encountered a bug in the process (the only one in my entire time with the game): https://youtu.be/ATo16A5n9hQ (final boss spoilers inside)
I can confirm the Master difficulty exploit no longer works...
I need to replay some of the game for one of the other trophies as well so I think I'll do a quick run on easy and then I'll think about doing the Master mode later...
@velio84 It would probably also have less downloads* if it released on disc at the same time but it’s still probably safe to say that the game is quite successful
not to be confused with sales - what I’m saying is that other top downloaded games like Deathloop possibly sold more if you add physical sales
The Griers wouldn’t say exactly how many copies of Kena they’ve sold, but they said they’ve recouped the game’s initial costs and have been pleasantly surprised with sales so far. “It’s hard to tell what's a huge success,” said Josh. “Sony’s happy.”
I haven't played this yet but it's on my radar and added to my wishlist. Good buddy of mine described it as a (Zelda Light) which piqued my interest even more. Reviews seem solid and I have avoided streams as I don't want game spoilers. I'll probably pick it up after in finish Bloodstained and Hallow Knight. It's looks fantastic.
I’ve been playing this game for the past few nights now and did not expect it to be as hard as it is. I’m just playing it on normal but I’m pretty sure these boss fights are tougher than Demon’s Souls.
I did malfunction though and probably made it harder for myself as for some reason I completely forgot about the shield. I managed to make it 7 boss / mini boss fights in before I remembered to use it. Even with it it’s not made it much easier though and it’s getting that dodge timing just right that’s the key. Most likely won’t be platinuming this.
@render Don't forget you can change the difficulty at any time for no penalty. You unlock a harder difficulty after you have finished the game, which there is a trophy for completing the game under.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@Voltan@JohnnyShoulder Thanks guys, will definitely try and get the party right and drop difficultly if required. I like the movement of Kena, seems very responsive, it’s just my reactions that need an improvement 😆
