@JJ2 It’s just games. I think in the year 2020, with everything going on amidst a pandemic, election and breaking of international law, there is worse disinformation and fear being spread than some petty console wars. It’s more bad journalism than anything.
@nessisonett
Well yes. We are talking about video games here. I dont go into politics precisely because its all crap and only focus on video game news
No need to downplay the rubbish we see in games news. Its precisely touching people who just want to escape and arent always wealthy.
The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.
@JJ2 I think calling it disgusting is a bit strong though. All video game companies have misinformation spread because everyone wants their 5 seconds of fame on Twitter. Might be PS5 this time but next week it’ll be Nintendo or bloody Stadia. It’s hardly some targeted campaign by Xbox as part of Phil Spencer’s master plan. Just wanting to escape is another word for apathy and you can appreciate video games while acknowledging that there are a lot worse things going on in the world.
@nessisonett
I disagree. It s disgusting even if that offends you in any way saying it
Let's move on

@nessisonett@JJ2 I've been saying this for awhile, the over reliance in the video game media industry to use rumours and leaks to break a news story really grinds my gears. Its lazy and most of these people that start the rumours and leaks are just seeking their name in the spotlight. I really wish they crawl back under the rock they came from.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder It’s really quite lazy journalism. It’s easy, there’s not much thought needed other than a shout-out to some Twitter drone who has an uncle that works for Nintendo. I love when we get proper pieces delving into video game history or even countdown lists. I loved the PC Gamer articles where they slagged off the writers’ least favourite Final Fantasy characters for example.
@Kidfried I more hold issue with the fact that it’s being painted as a systematic attack on Sony which in turn is another tiring attempt at revitalising console wars. Why invent conflict when there’s so much other conflict going on elsewhere?
@Kidfried
I agree but whatever.
Now when I walk my dog if I step on dog sht and go 'eww thats disgusting!' Im fully expecting nessisonette come out of the shadows outraged at me because there r so much more important things going on in the world blah hlah
Haha

@JJ2 You’ve been slagging off Xbox in the articles for weeks and defending Sony to the hilt. I understand that this is a Playstation site but I’m sick of the hostility between the two camps on here and Pure Xbox. Console wars are utterly pointless and it’s not some sort of ‘FUD’ conspiracy, just a few days ago there were the Bungie rumours that were categorically untrue. It’s more a symptom of the current method of delivering news and wider ‘fake news’, of which there are far worse and far more important cases to complain about.
@nessisonett while I kinda agree, there is a difference between a false rumour that states one side is having disastrous yield issues, which is a negative, and saying the other side might be buying arguably one of the biggest, and best names in development, which is positive. It does seem that all the false rumours about the PS5 / Sony this time around are grotesquely negative, while the false rumours around the XSX / Microsoft are positive. Not saying it's any concerted conspiracy to damage the PS5, but there is a trend, and I'd suggest it's got something to do with clicks and comments. Psychologically you're more likely to click on and comment on a positive story about something you don't like, and conversely click and comment on a negative story about something you do like. Seems humans are more likely to "engage" when angry and I'm sure websites have learned this. Hence the sometimes contradictory articles on the same sites within 24 hours. It's not news. It's not journalism, it is simply put click bait.
@nessisonett
Oh that's what it's about. You are offended that sometimes I say not so nice things about Spencer or Ms.
Relax man. I'm not going to hurt xbox. Its mostly in jest. I'm not into console wars and even less into keyboard warriors or stealth trolls. I always respect xbox fans and have many friends in real life who only play on box.
Take it easy. Its not that serious.
🤦♂️
Yes FUD exists. It's not a thing from my imagination. Calm down
And I dont 'defend' Sony. I say what I think and if you pay attention I was right about this rumour being BS just like I've been right about Mochizuki being a fraud which I've been saying for ages. Move on
Edit
And I dont give a flying 4k about Pure Xbox. I dont go on that site, I dont comment on that site.

Eh, sometimes it's best to take a step backwards and not worry about it too much. Looking forward to tonight, that's going to be some real info, and not a bunch of rumours. Besides, PushSquare needs it, we haven't had a DualSense article in weeks, so this will probably reveal some more DualSense secrets. How much does it weigh? How long does it take to charge? Can you turn off the light bar? These are the real questions we deserve an answer to.
@Octane
Yep when I saw PushSquare debunked the rumour I knew was real.

I didn't expect Ragnarok this soon. I guess it will be only two games then. Unless there's another sequel. It's kinda weird going from only Baldr in the first one to murdering the whole Norse pantheon in the second game.
A lot of stuff we knew was bound to happen at some point and some leaked stuff. It was OK. That PS+ thing leaves a sour taste though, what on Earth have I been paying Now for. They should be pimping that as the future considering it runs PS3 games too.
