Hi all! I hope all that have the Portal are enjoying it as much as I am!
I have one issue I wanted to see if others were also having it.... the left analog stick makes a clicking sound when in use, not all the time but when playing you can feel the click as your using the stick? Anyone else having this issue?

Yep happening to me too. Wondering if it's normal or not to be like mouse clicks

@Paulout Haven't noticed any issues with either stick clicking, thankfully. But I have seen some (not many) people having a similar issue online.

@blockfight are you sure .try rotating it around slowly and see what it feels when going to the max rotation. See if it feels clickly. Not clickly when touching. We're talking when rotating it around at semi full force. You will feel a click like rub when doing so .

@blockfight how long have you had yours and are you applying enough pressure to feel the rub/click,it's not really a click but a sound that it makes when rotating at somewhat full strength... Idk weird.. how some people have this and some don't....

@blockfight is there a way you can attach a video showing yours not clicking .maybe via IMGUR? This would immediately help alot of people knowing some people don't have a clickly rub lime sound ..also alot of Xbox trolls on here trying to degrade the portal as well so hard to tell if your a troll or not xD.

@Kingcuffey well I'm not sure how to upload a video. I'll look into it. As for being an xbox troll, I own all 3 platforms. Love them all. And I love the Portal. So no I'm not trolling, i love all platforms. Haha!
If I'm not able to upload a video, honestly just trust me, mine isn't clicking.

@blockfight ....just makes me have mad anxiety...especially when I'm having a blast with mine. Would be a shame to send it back because of this and alot of others have the same issue and have sent there's back and etc and still have those issues.....-_-

@Kingcuffey ya that's the downside of this device. If there's an issue with it, the whole thing has to go back. I've seen some people online taking their left sticks off themselves but I'd be petrified of doing that myself.

@Scoopey find a place and stay there for the rest of your life.. don't tell anyone where you are also.. hopefully trapped like that movie 127 hours 🙏🙏

So my Portal finally arrived today. I've used it for several hours, playing games like DOOM 3 and Tokyo Xanadu. The experience is flawless, I haven't noticed any issues streaming the games. I have a high internet connection speed, my PS5 is wired to my router and my router is in the same room where I'm using the Portal. So everything works great!

Moreover, the games look absolutely fantastic on the screen. The colours pop and the screen is large but not too large. Not to mention that it's so seamless to turn on the device and start playing. I'm not kidding, it literally feels like I'm using the Switch. There's no dip in quality whatsoever.

My only gripes with the device is first and foremost the placement of the charging port. It's located in the back on the lower side instead of on the top. It's so hard to put the cord in, it's not optimal at all. Imagine if the charging port on the DualSense was on the bottom but even worse, like hidden away. My second gripe is that you have to touch the screen so much with your fingers, from opening the device menu to change brightness to using the DualSense's touchpad. I'll probably have to clean it often because of this.

But other than that, I'm very satisfied with this product! Sony doesn't need to make a dedicated handheld device with inferior games. They can just focus on the PS5 and sell Portal as a complementary device. That way the games won't get compromised. I'm going to use my PS5 so much more from here on out thanks to the Portal.

@LtSarge Glad you are enjoying your time with it, as I know you were looking forward to getting your hands on it!

@JohnnyShoulder Yeah, this was the most anticipated product of the year for me. I rarely get excited for anything these days, but the idea of playing PS5 games on a handheld device is just brilliant. I already love the PS5 so much, but with Portal, I'm going to make it my main system.

The last test for my Portal, brought it to family home 3 hours drive away to see how it performed. Ran the exact same as if I was beside the PS5. I don't need to pack up my PS5 for Christmas break now and bring with me for playing when I stay with family. Very impressed.
Got 5 hours into Uncharted 4. Played 2 and 3 earlier in the year, there's a big graphical jump when playing 4 so soon after. One of the best looking games I've ever played.

@KilloWertz @Octane

I managed to find one in stock on Friday

Yesterday I took it to my mother in law's house (approximately 5 miles away) and connected it to her WIFI and I'm very happy to say it worked perfectly without any noticeable lagging.

I have pretty decent WiFi at home and so does she so I guess it all depends on your connection at each end.

But in short it's not just restricted to the same place as your PS5

@Member_the_game Awesome! Good to hear it's working well. Thanks for letting me know. Too bad it's sold out everywhere all the time. But if I can snag one early next year I'm also fine with it.

It’s a bummer that these are sold out everywhere. I’ve all but decided that I want to grab one. Looks like I’ll have to wait until stock refreshes; probably after the new year
