What does everyone think the chances are of any of the PS5 games being reduced or on short term sale before the end of the year?
Im thinking of titles like Sackboy/Demons Souls/Dirt 5 etc not just newer backwards compatible PS4 games but ones with specific PS5 versions.
I really doubt you’ll get more than 10%, in a Boxing Day sale. They’re taking losses on the consoles, need to make money on the game sales. Also they’re new blockbuster games, usually decent sales take a while. I wouldn’t expect 50% off Demon’s Souls till Easter. Sackboy perhaps earlier.
Oh I'm by no means suggesting anything more than perhaps 15/20% of full RRP in a best case scenario. I am just considering whether to hold off for perhaps another month with hope that I may save my self £25 combined from a couple of games.
If you don't mind digital you can always buy PSN wallet codes from Shopto in the UK. They have £45 cards going for £37.85. That's a good 16% or so off. So you can already get a good discount as long as you buy digital.
Digital also often saves on tax, at least here that’s 13%. But honestly taking the family to a fast food restaurant cost $40, so in that context saving $10 on a AAA title worked on by hundreds of professionals for several years to produce doesn’t seem like too much to stress about.
