Hello forum!
As much as I love what Sony produces as bluetooth headsets/headphones alternatives for the PS5 since the latter is not compatible with the former, I would think they are not a necessity and your available Bluetooth device can easily be used instead. Hear me out: since most of PS5 users already have a 4K/smart TV which at least should include bluetooth technology, they should be able to play their games using the TV's bluetooth I/O the PS5's; I tried it with my AirPods Pro and works like a charm! didn't try if the microphone works but personally I usually play solo games so I wouldn't care much.
So what do you think? I know lots of you already know about this but I personally never read anywhere about this solution being raised as an alternative, all I hear is nagging about how the PS5 is not compatible with bluetooth devices.
Cheers.
You can get the audio fine, but that's it. You wouldn't get the benefits of a gaming headset if you are doing online gaming when connecting via the TV's Bluetooth audio.
I do often use a good pair of headphones on my TV rather than my PS5 headset though, just because they are comfier and have better audio, especially helpful if it's a game I really want to get immersed in. So it is an infinitely better way to do it if you don't care about online gaming, I agree
