So I’m already aware of the eye-rolling that this thread will incur (yes I’m speaking to you @JohnnyShoulder et al 😉)… but for anyone who is interested (@CJD87 maybe?) I thought a thread about our gaming plans might be of at least ‘some’ interest.
So following a question from the Trophy thread, here is my schedule for the remainder of 2022… but also feel free to add your own:
April:
finish off Elden Ring Transistor Maquette
May: Castlevania: Requiem Sega Megadrive Collection
finish off The Division 2
June:
finish off It Takes Two
finish off Yakuza Kiwami (spelled it correctly for you there @Thillho 😉)
finish off Everybody’s Golf
July: Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Returnal Aer
August: God of War: Ascension God of War 3
finish of Farcry: New Dawn
September: Deathloop God of War: Ragnarok 🤞 A Short Hike
October: inFamous
finish off Sekiro
November: inFamous: Second Son
finish off Fallout 4 Mass Effect
December: inFamous: First Light Assassins Creed: Revelations
This is a great idea, almost like the backlog thread and it's almost like a personal gaming diary and might actually help people stick to their plan or not 🤣.
Here's my hope for this year, I also like to try calculate how many hours it will take for each game as well but not very successfully 🙈
APRIL
Platinum Bloodborne
Finish Mass Effect 3 Legendary Edition
Mabye fit in a run through of Spongebob on ps plus
MAY
Start Tales of Arise
Start Hades (Platinum if possible)
June
Finish Tales of Arise
Demon Soul's
July
Horizon Forbidden West (Platinum)
Outerworlds(backlog)
August
Strangers of Paradise
Start Final Fantasy X/X-2
September
Finish FF X/X-2
Start Cyberpunk
October
Finish Cyberpunk
God of War Ragnarok(Platinum)
November
Elden Ring
December
Probably still Elden Ring.
Some of these are chunky games hours wise so if I can state true to this I will be over the moon.
@velio84 yeah I’ve never played a Castlevania either… but after playing my first metroidvania a few months back (& absolutely loving it) I have to check out the title that many consider the daddy.
@kyleforrester87 totally fair… and while I get you, I’m scheduled up until 2026 🤣! It takes all sorts though… and all those sorts makes the world at least a little more interesting 👍
@colonelkilgore it’s an attitude like that which means you can clear a game like Elden Ring. My lazy post work sessions are just hours spent picking berries in Limgrav 🤦♂️
I'm on the side of being totally incapable of making a schedule. Hell I don't even know half the time when I'll actually get to play. I sometimes have a few games on the go and sometimes I've even got an idea of what I'd like to play next but usually I just decide on the day.
That being said here's what I've currently got on the go and what games I'd like to play at some point this year...
Elden Ring (on the home stretch and can hopefully platinum as I've lined up all my ducks)
Returnal (bag the rest of the DLC trophies)
Gran Turismo 7
Cyberpunk 2077
RE Village
Demon's Souls (finished but still need to get that platinum so it's going to be interesting going back after ER)
GoW Ragnarok
FFVII Remake
A Short Hike
Hoa
The Pedestrian
The Sexy Brutal
Mass Effect 2 / 3
I noticed the previous thread for posting our backlog plan was actually specifically PS4 (even though most of us wrote all our gaming plan for all consoles on it) and so this is a more appropriate way to chronicle our evolving gaming schedule, both short term and long term. Great idea, @colonelkilgore
I have never tried to break down my schedule by month, so this will be a fun exercise. Let me give it a try —
April
Finish The Last of Us Part II
Finish Mass Effect
Cyberpunk 2077
*Experiment with an online multiplayer experience (more on that in another thread)
May
Spider-Man Miles Morales
Uncharted 2
The Pathless
June
Resident Evil 4
Guardians of the Galaxy
Uncharted 3
July
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Nier Replicant
Man, this is tough. I also have the wild card in Horizon Forbidden West that I might get too anxious to play and if I have a moment of weakness it could drop in and replace something like Uncharted.
Actually, the whole schedule is subject to change except for April. 😂
Ah well, its fun to at least plan something and then I can compare where I am in a month or so.
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
I have a loose plan full of foolish decisions and questionable goals.
My schedule is looking a bit like this:
April
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut (Now)
Persona 5 Royal (start saturday/sunday)
Call of Cthulu (last week of April)
Trails of Cold Steel IV (last week of April)
That's about as far into the future as I can see. This makes no allowance at all for any games I'm reviewing or if I just fancy playing all the Mass Effect games again or something.
My current schedule, after finishing a couple big games and others getting delayed out of spring:
Guilty Gear while waiting for crossplay to be added to Guilty Gear - and then even more Guilty Gear
@Th3solution For some reason I have this mad plan that I'm going to do every Resident Evil back to back. I've played every Resident Evil except 0, 6, and 8. So they'll be new information. Looking forward to 6 especially because I know everyone hates that one. Wanna see what it's all about.
I suspect I'll get half way through 0, realise the controls are hideous and I can't be bothered any more, and catapult the entire plan out of the window. But at the minute I'm planning on doing them one after the other.
On Persona 5 Royal, I think I need around eight or nine days to beat it. Probably a couple more because I'll dilly dally. But I already have the Platinum so I don't need to do everything, and I can really get through games fast because I don't really have any other hobbies. Elden Ring took me nine days I think, but I also had to stop to review a game half way through. I can't even remember what that game was actually. Jesus.
@johncalmc Well, seeing as Persona 5 took me nigh 3 years to complete, you have my awe and respect.
As as for the Resident Evil series, I actually have a similar pipe dream. I started with REmake a couple years ago through PS+ and I was hooked. Have now done REmake 2 and R3make. I wanted to do the original RE4 before the REm4ke comes out, so hopefully at least this year. And when I bought RE4, it was basically like $5 extra to get the collection consisting of 4, 5, and 6, so I own the “bad” ones so I’m halfway planning to play them eventually too, for reasons similar to your own. But practically speaking, I suspect I would jump from 4 to 7 and then 8. We’ll see. But I’m doing it over a stretch of like 3-4 years. Not one month. 😅
