@Th3solution I’ve replayed almost every entry on a fairly annual basis for the last 25 years and the first solid is probably the least accessible in terms visual fidelity and controls and the like. Whereas 2, 3 and 4 still, though not without issues, stand on their own and are very playable. Having said that I shouldn’t be trusted to be objective about any of this as I’m a total obsessive 😂
Not a request, but an endorsement for Mafia. Phenomenal remake. If you haven't played it, go and do it immediately!
As far as requests go, let's head on over to Capcom HQ, and ask very nicely for remakes of Dino Crisis and Onimusha.
Then we'll swing by Square, and see what they can do about Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy IX.
While we're in the land of the rising sun, Sega should fully remake Skies of Arcadia.
It would also be awful nice of Konami to bring Metal Gear Solid, and MGS Sons of Liberty bang up to date.
I'm not going to put any PS3 games in here because most of them are still very playable, though it'd be nice if we could have a comprehensive list playable by streaming or something so they're not trapped on PS3.
And remaking PS4 games is ridiculous. Companies remaking stuff from the last generation need to get a grip.
@PorkChopExpress Vagrant Story would be good. I remember playing that, was it on PS1? I never did finish as i most likely did not fully understand the game, as it was rare for me to play that type of game back then.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder It was PS1, yeah. Square could definitely do worse than revisit that game. Squaresoft were really on fire in the mid to late 90's. I'd say Vagrant Story was one of the last great games they made from the era before they took a dip in the early 2000's then merged with Enix in 03. Parasite Eve would be another good remake candidate!
