@Col_McCafferty I didn’t really warm to Joel either. I understood his motivations, sure, but I wouldn’t ever class him as a ‘good’ guy. It’s a really quite good game though, the first Last of Us. I put it off for years but glad I finally got round to it. I agree about the human enemies though, it was very obvious when they’d appear as you’d walk into rooms with waist height boxes 😂
@nessisonett Ha yeah, but I still manage to get surprised by an enemy suddenly appearing out of nowhere so maybe it's not that obvious!
The Last of Us Part II just feels like it's been made by people that are lot more confident in the world they have created and the lore and perhaps there's more imagination on show.
Both games are great though and I hope that one day there is a Part III. Maybe they're done with it outside of Factions 2.
@Col_McCafferty The more I hear about Part II, the more I want to just play it. I got it on sale a few months ago but I’ve been waiting to see if they upgrade it for PS5. Might bite the bullet and go for it after I clear my immediate backlog.
@Col_McCafferty I think there will be another one but not for a few more years.
I have a hard time believing in the part 1 remake rumours though, even though it probably makes sense business-wise.
@nessisonett It looked great anyway plus you have the improved framerate now so definitely give it a go.
Maybe make it your big Halloween game or something. It's the sort of game that makes most others feel lightweight and shallow. That's my opinion anyway.
@nessisonett honestly, just do it… I can’t put into words how amazing it looks in back-compat mode. I can’t imagine that a true PS5 would improve it by ‘that’ much.
@nessisonett honestly I'd just play it without the upgrade, it's well worth it. As others have said it's a very nice looking game anyway, and you have the 60fps patch.
@Keith_Zissou no problem at all… well according to the ever reliable @Voltan I have two chapters left… so I’m planning on playing through those this morning. Then on to a hearty breakfast that will set me up to try and power through all the collectibles and a second playthrough for upgrades.
@Keith_Zissou yeah I had to ask too... you insert before what you want to spoil and then insert at the end. You'll probably have to hit quote on my post to see the post-commands though 😉
@Keith_Zissou job well done... yeah those mountains up by Heartman damn the first couple of journeys I made through there without a zip line were intense. Proper journeys into the unknown.
@colonelkilgore Glad you are enjoying TLOU2 dude, really is a phenomenonal game.
There was a lot of wierd discourse around the game before, during and after it was released. Some of the critiscms I found a bit bizarre and could not get my head round most of them. I get valid criticism but some of it didn't make much sense to me. 🤷♂️
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@Keith_Zissou@JohnnyShoulder@colonelkilgore I was totally clueless on the outrage too, a lot of it just didn't make any sense and I think is really based on peoples preconceived ideas of what they thought should happen next or those people that didn't want a sequel. Gym schedules though, huh?!?
@Keith_ZissouI didn't know about an in-game schedule. I have to assume it contains her workouts from the past decade or so, because the argument wouldn't be reasonable at all otherwise
@Keith_Zissou@Voltan@render@colonelkilgore Although I can understand why some people were a bit miffed at THAT event near the beginning, the people that were acting like it was someone they knew in real life and then ruined the rest of the game kinda baffles me.

@Keith_Zissou@Voltan@JohnnyShoulder@colonelkilgore I guess the people getting upset about that are the same people that get annoyed about all the things that aren't realistic in Marvel films! Surely to enjoy any game / film you've got to gloss over these minor things as you'd just be permanently outraged.
