@DualSense sad to hear. The original series moorhuhn, which started out as a German/Dutch, game was pretty popular around here in the late 90s early 2000. Was basically some sort of duck hunt type of game which was fun at that time. But I can understand that type of game doesn't hold up anymore in modern time and age
I wish I'd saved a video of this - I bought the remaster of XIII. The original game meant a lot to me due to its connection with personal matters and family. I even have a PC version wrapped and unopened to this day.
On the first level of the game (the bank flashback), I lined up the crosshairs directly on to the back of an enemy's head. I threw an ashtray at him. It flew past the top of his head. I traded the game in the next day. I lost money buying that game but I didn't care. I didn't want it in my house a second longer.
Microids will always be a trash company in my eyes after that - although having said that I did just buy the physical version of Sifu, but thankfully they just published that.
@DualSense
Yeah I agree I also love a bargain cheap game in the sales. Just saying there are some excellent games that can be picked up for a couple of quid regularly in the PS Store sales, but you may need to do sone research to separate the good from the bloody terrible, how was this even made type of experience.

@TheIdleCritic They just published that steaming turd of a XIII remake though too. Microids only published the physical version of Sifu, so they kind of got lucky with that one in a sense.
Still, after your experience with XIII, I'd be very reluctant to buy anything they publish as well.

@TheIdleCritic Every FF game has dissapointed me. I mostly like RPG games but FF is not one of them.
Some few and good RPG games I've played are-:
Spider-Man Remastered
Spider-Man Miles Morales
Demon Souls
Uncharted 4
The Last of Us
God Of War
Grand Turismo Sport
Grand Turismo 7
These games just feel not 'orignal' and fun too play.
Gotham Knights. Was extremely hyped for the game, even preordered it. Disappointed af. Never seen a worse AAA title even in my life, my disappointment is unmeasurable and my day is ruined. The gameplay trailer and everything looked do good. Couldn't believe what i saw when started playing a game. The UI is like a Ubisoft mobile game.
RDR2 was a massive letdown. Although I eventually went on to enjoy the online mode a fair bit.
But, No man sky. Expectations of a huge universe to just go out and explore was all I wanted. Instead, I got a super slow and tedious material farm and craft game. So much of a letdown.
@RogerRoger I’m thinking about giving it a try, but in every video or stream the player is just farming or building based on planet. I’m far more interested in space exploration.
@Jammsbro I felt the same way as you about RDR2 back at release but I had some time on my hands this summer and gave it another go. It was phenomenal mate, one of the best narratives and open world-systems anywhere… it’s just a bit slow is all.
@colonelkilgore did you start RDR2 from the beginning when you started playing it again or pick up where you left off?
It's one of those games I bought on launch day during a busy few months, played a bit of it but never picked it back up. Not that I have it in the pipeline any time soon but I wonder if I should just start playing from where I was or start it again.
Seriously though, the only one that comes to mind that I've gotten this year would be Death Stranding: Director's Cut. Technically I got it for free, but it could still qualify since I used Sony Rewards points on it. The gameplay didn't click with me much at all, but I may give is a second chance someday when things calm down.

I actually bought sonic frontiers the other day for £28 in Asda. I somewhat regret it but I haven't really given it a chance. The reason why I bought it is that I tend to find the modern Sonic games that ape more successful games to be the best ones e.g. Sonic Lost World -> Mario Galaxy/DKCR
I thought Frontiers looked a lot like BOTW so I thought it might be decent. So far I'm unimpressed but I will play it some more/complete it to give it a fair shake. Things I'm disappointed in include the cyberspace levels I've played so far which are just normal modern Sonic levels and also the frame rate was headache inducing until I switched it into performance mode so I guess that's ok now at least. I suppose I wish I waited for a bigger sale on it.
@ralphdibny so I was part way through chapter 3 when I initially tapped-out and I just continued from that save when I started back up. Though I did end up replaying the vast majority of chapter 1 & 2 missions while I was going for all the mission gold medals.
The biggest thing that I would say with Red Dead Redemption 2 is to start it at a time when you know you will have a lot of time on your hands. It’s not the kind of game that you can squeeze-in, or rush through… you’ll just end up feeling really frustrated if you do (as I did initially in 2018). I’d save it for one of those rare times, when you have nothing but time and have no idea what to do with it.
@colonelkilgore haha fair enough, so probably never then! Kidding of course, I'm sure I'll find a nice stretch of free time at some point!
I'm not sure what chapter I was on when I tapped out. I definitely made it through the snowy prologue and did a few things after you set up camp. I probably got hung up on a lot of the side stuff
@ralphdibny sounds like you were in chapter 2 from your post. I’d personally just start from your existing save in that case as you’ve made it through the prologue… which is just a chore but not really seen that much more.
uncharted 4 sorry but i think its a poor game strung out chapters and chapters of climbing boring
last guardian that dam bird dog i shouted my self horse screaming at the tv just do something annoying uncontrollable mess
miles morales sorry this game was dlc not a full game and the villains were B tier
mass effect andromeda good game not a good mass effect game
fallout 4 the wonder of exploring the world like in fallout 3 and Vegas was ruined by a map teaming with enemies and poor quests
horizon forbidden west forgettable side missions forgettable main story the wonder and amazement of finding out what happed to the world from zero dawn was gone
@colonelkilgore It's agony. The narrative is very basic and massively overhyped. The characters are very close to stock and inconsistant. Every single mission is with a random npc. Every single mission in on rails and the player has no agency. Half the map is constantly a no go zone. You are constantly tied to down to parenting an entire camp for the game. Every single thing in the game is done a treacle slow speeds. I think it's one of the worst games out there. Gorgeous, but clunky and boring as hell.
