Topic: Celery. The worst food ever?

Possibly the most important thread ever, is Celery the work of the devil? Discuss the hideous green stick of doom below.

But it can be used to detect toxic gases in the air that may result in death due to allergies, and eating it acts as an antidote to prevent said death, less the toxin be too strong and require some sort of...cave bats milk.

But that said bat is only found in a volcanic, muddy mining network of caves on a minor planet orbiting a far away star, that's currently embroiled in a drug war and revolution.

If anyone gets that, I'm impressed.

But in all seriousness, BBQ sauce and oranges, are the worst things.

Aha okay, okay. As mentioned I've been simmering cellery seeds for 10 minutes or so and drinking the "juice" once it's cooled for a few weeks now. I've got a type of arthritis and the antioxidant luteolin is an effective anti-inflammatory so it helps manage pain. It's like a bitter green tea. It's more complimentary than anything though as I take conventional meds too.

It's warmed me to celery generally though, we've been having it in stews recently and it works a treat!

Celery barely exists, how can it be the worst? Bad stouts that taste like cigarette ashes - now that's bad.

I dunno, put a dollop of cottage cheese on it and that stuff is refreshingly tasty.

It depends what it's in honestly. IF it's in a salad like egg, tuna or something of that nature it's good. By itself as long as there is ranch its just awesome.

love celery in a good home made broth mmmm delish. I can think of loads of worse veggies.

Celery, apart from tasting awful, is, I believe, utterly pointless too - you actually use up more calories eating the stuff than you it actually gives! Whether its the 'worst' food ever or not, I don't know. The French have some weird ideas on food (Snails for example) as do some other countries.

I don't know why anyone would want to eat some of the 'chillis' - especially not the Carolina Reaper - the worlds hottest Chilli. I think I would rather be forced to eat Celery than one of those...

What? Celery, as other vegetables, is not only healthy but also tasty if it comes from real agricolture. Most of veggies now are artificially made by the industry, ignoring they need certain soil and weather to grow according to their real nature and the result is standardized crap.

I used to like celery with peanut butter. I actually need to buy some celery so I can make that again.

Worst ever? It's fairly inoffensive really, barely even there.
A few months ago I chose to eat a pig's nose and ear out of cultural politeness. That was worse than celery.

@Wesker "Ants on a log" was one of my favorite snacks growing get up as a child. Celery with peanut butter topped with raisins.

Celery is just a vessel for the dip.
